This is back at the time before the Covid-19 and you still can dine-inThe noodle bowl is okay and reliable (not mindblown or anything) yet the price is a bit highTheir best flavor is the tomato soup, but if you fancy for a tomato hot pot you can visit Haidilao upstairs, if your group has more than 5 people then there's a high chance your average cost would be more or less the same at Chef Hung level

The food here is AMAZING they have the best "bean paste noodles" AKA Zhajiangmian pronounced jajamyen, staff was really friendly, and they made me like food i would have never liked. Definitely reccomend coming here (to bad it closed bc of STUPID FRICKING COVID-19 D:<)

They are NOT open until 10pm today. They are permanently closed. Someone please update yelp! We will miss their beef noodle soup...

(Pre COVID-19 review) This review is long due. Before COVID-19 came along I would come here with family. Their lunch specials have always been the reason why I'd make a stop here, for a decent bowl of noodles and side dishes and a drink the price wasn't too horrible. The noodles even in the menu if they said spicy they can be modified to non spicy with no questions asked. Service here is ok, nothing fancy reason why its not 3 stars and it's 4 is because the interior is pretty nice and warm. There's also a window to look inside the kitchen to see them prep the noodles. But servicewise it was alright and food was decent the noodles were chewy and it felt and tasted fresh cut which is good. They currently are closed due to COVID-19 sadly and recently visited that area I did see there is also a "for lease sign" on their window. I hope they return, best of luck.

I've been to this place maybe 8-10 times in the past 7 years. I remembered it used to be pretty good and flavorful....not sure why I never reviewed them. But of course people tend to b!tch about establishments when/after something disappointing happens. It was definitely the last straw for me when I had two bad visits in a row. Hopefully they improve the next time I feel like this place is never busy and is more like the backup place people go to when the other restaurants in the plaza gets packed. These noodles are a staple dish, what really makes or breaks them is in the broth and recently their broth tasted really watered down. The meats in the noodles were still good, the noodle was bland because of said soup. There service has always been pretty attentive due to low number of customers here. It's not that I don't like this place, but the last two visits does have me questioning what corners were cut when I'm paying $12 for a bowl of noods that cost $7 (and taste better) at a mom & pop place in the 626

Haven't been here in a long time. Decided to stop last week for lunch with a coworker cuz there was no wait. We both got the lunch special #4, the beef shank, tendon, & tripe special. It came with an iced tea, bean curd, half a marinated egg, & two small pieces of the green onion pancake. The beef noodle soup was just disappointing. The flavor wasn't there. There was only one small piece of bok choy and it didn't come with the sour mustard leaves (which is the best pairing for beef noodle soup!!). So 2 stars..

In summary, this place is ok. Some good parts, some no-so good parts. Clean. Service is ok. Nice place for a casual meal. Beef noodle soup: ok. Broth, above average; noodles, ok; meet, meh. Beef roll: pass. Nothing special, maybe even below average. Seaweed knots: pretty good. This is served hot which was a surprise to me. I did enjoy this dish although a bit salty on its own. Would be better to be paired with something else like rice (clearly not beef noodle soup or beef roll). Service: They forgot to bring the seaweed. Atmosphere: Nice, a handful of customers. First time here. Will I come back? Maybe to give it another try. Currently, I feel like it is more a 2.5 stars. Also there are so many options in the plaza that I have not been too, so it may be a while till I return.

Nice Taiwanese beef noodle restaurant. A bit pricy. But the beef broth is good.

I came here at around 1PM on a Friday expecting it to be packed but I was seated quickly. The assistant manager J and the servers were friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. I come from a family with a very traditional Taiwanese palette and eating every item I ordered brought me back to my mom's lovely cooking and my trips to Taiwan. Everything is so authentic and makes me proud of my culture.

last night was the first time in this magnificent restaurant. But It is surely not the last. We had great time with the courteous service, with the high quality meal and booze and with the decent payment. We will surely return there again.

My boyfriend has wanted to take me here for some time, he's been raving about their flat noodles, so we decided to drop by last night for dinner. LOCATION: Park of Diamond Jamboree plaza, located next door to Coco Ichibanya. PARKING: Always a pain at Diamond Jamboree, especially if you want to park in front of any of the restaurants. I usually end up parking in the parking structure behind 85 degrees to avoid the stress. RESTAURANT: Very empty when we walked in for a Monday evening. They have plenty of seating and are able to accommodate both small and large parties. The restaurant itself looks very modern, clean wooden tables, and even a glass window for you to see the chef at work. MENU: They have a large variety of their beef noodle soup, which is what they are known for. There are other sides and appetizers to share, as well as other types of noodle soups and rice dishes. Most items range from $6 to $14, depending on what you order. Here's what my boyfriend and I shared: Champion Beef Shank Noodle Soup (5/5): So GOOD. One bowl was enough to share between two people. The flat noodles were thick and chewy, and the beef shank pieces were tender and juicy. The soup is good as well; it's neither too overly salted nor bland. I definitely recommend this soup. Spicy Wontons (2/5): I'm a s***** for spicy wontons, but this one was small for the price ($6), and also lacking in flavor. I was expecting it to be spicier with more vinegar and spice, but it just tasted bland. I had to add a bit of soy sauce for more flavor. I wouldn't recommend this. CONCLUSION: I'd probably recommend sticking to their Champion noodles and avoiding the spicy wontons. I love the huge portion they give out for the noodles here and would definitely come back for just their flat noodles. Service was good, and I had a good dinner overall.

We stopped by last weekend after Disneyland for some dinner before driving home. My sister in law is Taiwanese and she highly recommended this place so we went. Honestly, I was very skeptical at first because of the yelp reviews but we were pleasantly surprised after coming here! SERVICE - We were one of the three parties in the restaurant so it was pretty empty on a Saturday night. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. FOOD Green Onion Pancake - I have a slight obsession with these pancakes and these hit the spot! They were crispy on the outside but the inside was soft with a lot of flavor. Beef Wraps - I actually was not impressed with these. The flavor was a bit off to me and the meat was chewy. Champion Noodles #1 - I got this one because it said it had spice to it. However, there was zero spice to this soup. The noodles were amazing though! I have not ever had anything like it. Thick and chewy, the perfect consistency of noodles. Broth was full of flavor and the meat was extremely tender. Champion Noodles #2 - My husband and most of our party got this dish. Noodles, same great consistency. The broth was lighter than #1 but still packed full of flavor. Overall, we loved the restaurant and the food was delicious. We would come back for the noodles if ever in the area!
