“I don’t usually leave reviews, but the New York Roll with Truffle Salmon absolutely deserves one. It was honestly one of the most unique and delicious sushi rolls I’ve had in a long time. The salmon was incredibly fresh, and the truffle flavor complemented it perfectly without being overpowering. Every bite was well-balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Sushi Atelier continues to impress with both quality and creativity. This roll has definitely become one of my favorites. Highly recommend—5 stars!“

What a wonderful dining experience! The location is very convenient, and I especially appreciate that they are open until 10:45 PM—perfect for a late dinner. The atmosphere is warm, relaxing, and beautiful.

A special thank you to the manager, Gary, and the wonderful staff, Charlie and Nikki, for making my birthday so memorable! They went above and beyond to celebrate with us and made me feel very special. 🎂❤️

“Such a cute spot next to UCI! The interior decor is gorgeous — such a vibe! They have beer, sake, and COFFEES! Everything on the menu looks soo good. Many of the rolls use the same ingredients so that’s an area for potential improvement, but didn’t take away from the experience.

Service was great, our server was very kind and attentive. I didn’t love that water for the table was already sitting on each table when we arrived, it looked like it had been there all day. The ginger and wasabi was a similar situation, it didn’t look fresh, but when we requested more the server immediately replaced it!

It was so quiet and chill in this area, and they have outdoor seating as well where families were hanging out. Very mellow and cute.

“I had the chicken karaage and soba. Delicious, as good as any I've ever eaten. I also tried the tonkatsu, also superb. Exceeded my expectations quite a bit of a wait time for dinner. (Saturday). Even though it was busy I felt service was lacking. But for the price of the dinner I'd go back again.“

“This is my favorite sushi spot (along with sugarfish) to get fresh handrolls made right in front of you with warm rice and cold sushi. If you never had it like that the texture and differences in temperature are mind blowing good, then wash it down with a coconut ube beer and you are in heaven. The inside is small and counter seating only so come quickly and don't forget to add your name to the waitlist.“

“Our son went to UCI and took us to Iro Sushi the first time. Each time we visit him we love to go there and pick something up to eat at the tables outside. The rolls are great and there are macarons and other desserts that are fantastic. The woman who makes them is super nice and we always chat with her. You should stop by and enjoy.“

“I was invited to dine at Robata Wasa Irvine Spectrum. I came on a Saturday at 12PM/Lunch. We started with the spicy tuna crispy rice and yellowtail serrano signature sashimi - both incredibly delicious. The crispy rice had a good amount of spicy tuna on top, and we enjoyed both with a couple of mocktails. Next we ordered two specialty rolls, the hokkaido roll and surf and turf roll (which we were told would take some time to prepare - and we acknowledged that we were okay with this). The hokkaido roll came out first, it was delicious, then we were told the surf and turf would take a bit longer (20 minutes) as the chef needs to prep more for the roll. We ordered the Kureiji toro roll instead, when it came out we dug in, but noticed that there was a different flavor profile than we were expecting. There were ingredients inside the roll that did not match up with the description shown on the menu, so my friend inquired about it. We were told there were menu changes and there could be an error with the description. Sure enough the roll was the correct name, but made from completely different ingredients than listed - my friend ordered a california roll to supplement and keep the order simple. Overall, we enjoyed your visit, it's a gorgeous restaurant, the staff are very nice and welcoming, and everything tasted good and is plated nicely with the exception of the Keriji toro roll, which I we found to be slightly bitter due to the shishito pepper that is inside the roll - it looked to be charred on the outside but on the inside is still a little green/raw veggie, which is what caught my attention when I first tried it. I don't mind having to replace our item order or if there are mistakes/typos on the menu, but a) if the surf and turf roll we will need such an exorbitant amount of time to prepare, should keep it off the lunch menu or only provide during a specific time of day (as we were told the ingredients would need to be prepped to be ready for later in the day anyways (I am figuring for dinner time), it just wasn't ready for the time we were dining); and b) it seemed that it may already be a known that there was a typo or misprint on the menu, if that's the case the menu needs to be updated, a supplemental notice should be added or servers just mention what is actually in that particular sushi roll is not what's listed on the menu. As we ordered that roll because of the ingredients that were listed on the menu.“

“We love ordering from Tomikawa, but there’s been a problem with your official website for the past three weeks. The entire sushi section has disappeared from the online menu, so it’s impossible to place a pickup order for sushi through your website. Everything else is there, but the sushi menu is completely missing. I even mentioned this in the restaurant, but it still hasn’t been fixed. Hopefully someone on the management team sees this review and can resolve the issue soon. Thank you!“

“Authentic Japanese, with my favorite grilled fish like salmon kama, miso cod, and they even have great grilled red meat. The make your own, deconstructed sushi is awesome too. The kids love the tempura, my grandpa loves the seafood noodles. Everyone is happy, with fresh, big portion plates (although the price does reflect larger plates). Quiet atmosphere, great for quiet conversations with family. The little dishes that come with the meal sets are really good too.“

“I always love coming here. The onigiri is really tasty and they season it well. This place to go to is nice and kinda private plus many places to sit. The service is wonderful too!! Great spot for someone who wants to try onigiri for the first time as it won't let you down for a first try or for someone who loves onigiri.“

“Houston Location: We arrived at our reservation and waited 10 minutes for the hostess. Once seated, we were uninstructed on how to order. Sushi chefs explained the process. Our waiter arrived 10 minutes after, taking our drink order. The app arrived before the waters, followed by the drinks after we ordered and received the sushi. The manager noticed us looking for our waiter but was often in the corner on his phone or socializing with the hostess. The sushi chefs were also on their phones while making the sushi, which was unhealthy. Despite the germy seasoning, the food was amazing.“

Great setup for options quickly and comfortable setting. I do wish they had a clearer allergen list, maybe I missed some of them but I saw a few on the iPad! The manager on duty was fun and attentive. He showed us how to do Sake Bombs and we really enjoed the interaction with staff. Keep that up!“
