“This has to be my favorite spot to have a bite in Joshua tree! You get more than what you paid for. The portions are huge. Ordered a matcha latte and chipotle sandwich. Both delicious! The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and welcoming. Come by for great food and great service !”

“For sure try and get an inside seat, the ambiance is to die for. Super cute and exactly what you want to experience in Joshua tree. Order the double deuce, pancakes, hash browns, bacon, and eggs. Giving classic American breakfast, it was enough for me and my gf but if u was hungry enough i could probably have it all my self. The pancakes are HUGE”

“We were visiting Joshua Tree for a bachelorette party and had preordered items for the weekend. From breakfast sandwiches to lunch, everything was wonderful. Our orders were ready as soon as we arrived and packaged great for traveling. If you're in the area and need a grab and go option or a large order for a group, would highly recommend!”

“Had the most lovely breakfast this morning at the Food for Thought Café. The tofu scramble had a great scrambled egg consistency and the potatoes and soup of the day were well seasoned and fresh. The espresso also hit the spot while my friend and I dined in low, comfy chairs basking in the morning sun. The staff was kind and welcoming from the beginning to end of our visit.”

“What a find! Sam’s was a surprise gem amongst the standard burger joints in the area. The food was great, the atmosphere relaxing. We tried the pizza and it did not disappoint! They took extra special care for our special occasion and I would hands down go back there again and recommend it to anyone in the area. The homemade mango ice cream is NOT TO BE MISSED, I’d go back to Joshua Tree just for the ice cream!!! Thank you for making our night!”

“We have gotten sandwiches from this location twice and both times we got excellent service from Doc. He is friendly and excellent at making sandwiches. We are Vegan and order veggie sandwiches and believe me when I say that Doc makes our sandwiches taste amazing with his portions and sandwich making style. Thanks Doc!”

“What a well oiled machine of a cafe. I'm in awe at JT Coffee for being able to handle the raucous crowd of annoying city people making it look like Starbucks in there. The last time I visited, I was the only city folk braving the sweltering 113° of desert Summer but this past St. Patty's weekend was cutsie pootsie sweater weather and you bet your butts it was busy AF. It almost ruined my romantic vision of the desert being this idyllic place removed from the city -- yeah, big face palm for me now that social media ruined all that was sacred. Without further disruption, the coffee here is great. I'm not a latte girl so I can't vouch for all you sugarcoated peeps but I bought two bags of whole bean and a cold brew for the road and they get my coffee master stamp of approval. While you're here, do head to Sky High Pie and get the veggie quiche!”

“Our family stopped by after a long day of hiking. The quesadilla and taquitos were excellent, and the service was friendly, loading us up with salsa cups to go. This was a great meal to enjoy on the back porch of our desert bnb.”

“Food is 10/10. The most gluten free-friendly place I've ever been to. Staff was great and happy to help with anything... except the hostess. I'm sure we are not the first to complain about her. People around us were also shocked with how she was speaking to us and the people before us. She does not fit in with the rest of the vibe. She was unbelievably rude and dismissive. Her replies were unprofessional and purposefully unhelpful. She hated being there and we almost left, honestly. I'm glad we stuck through her attitude and we enjoyed the meal but she should not be front of house. (Visited 3/30/24)”

“Came to town for a long weekend. We always bring our own food and cook and go out once on a road trip. We always look for Middle Eastern Restaurants, and Yucca Kabob did not disappoint. We ordered baba ghanoush, kafta plate and a gyro shawarma plate. The kafta was slightly tougher than I think it should have been, but it wasn’t dry and was extremely flavorful. We enjoyed the gyro and baba ghanoush a lot. The hummus that came with it was very smooth. We would come back and make the same order next time we are in town.”

They even have a condiment and utensil station for those who need extra! This place is very casual and laidback for those who want to read a book, eat breakie and drink coffee. “After visiting Joshua Tree National Park, I looked for a place to have dinner on my way back to LA. I didn't expect there to be a Korean restaurant nearby, but I searched for a Korean restaurant nearby, so I came to the restaurant with some hesitation.The food is oh so delicious. I was very disappointed with the Korean restaurant in LA Hanta (too salty and insincere), but this place is delicious even though it's not sweet and salty. It's hard to make food taste good without it being sweet or salty. Would you say that you felt relieved after a week of travelling? It's a traditional Korean food that tastes like home cooking without much flavor. The owner greeted me and gave me a bag of Crayon Shin-chan and Sora snacks for my child. The restaurant has a snack bar-like atmosphere but is clean. They also sell chicken and bungeoppang.I had squid rice bowl, bibimbap, and kimchi fried rice. All three were plentiful and delicious. I also packed tteokbokki and ate it at the hotel, and it was delicious even though it was cold.I didn't have any intention of reviewing it, so I took a picture while I was eating.This is my first time leaving a review. I hope that the owner's business goes well and that it becomes a famous Korean restaurant in Yucca Valley. I live overseas and not in Korea, so it's hard to get this much flavor at a Korean restaurant overseas, but the owner's sincerity is evident in the food. I really recommend it.”

“My favorite place in the high desert for pizza (and the only place that does Neapolitan style). Great, fresh ingredients, solid prices. Staff is always courteous, happy to help and quick with orders. Plus, there's a pool table if you order take-out and need to wait.”
