“Love this little place! Thrifty Icecream flavors, coffee, shaved ice snow cones, dessert treats... everything is so good. Kids love the stranger things Icecream sundae. Also has a cute little retail section and book lending library. Staff are always so nice and welcoming.”

“Stopped here on our way out of the desert after trying a different coffee shop first. The first place was too busy so we opted to wait until we drove to this one. I tried the classic desert dog coffee, iced and it was great! My partner had a latte and liked it. We both got breakfast sandwiches that did the trick.”

“I have been wanting to stop here for a while now because of the cool name that sticks in your head as you drive down the highway. Pastrami sandwich was good w a Smokey flavor. Onion rings were some of the best I have ever had and had the perfect batter and crunchiness to them. Ranch tasted homemade. Owner came around to make sure customers were happy. Quick service from waitress and kitchen. I will be back!”

“This place has the best date shakes around. I have tried them at places to the west and east,. Nothing beats Windmill Market! Great friendly, fast service. Prices are very reasonable compared to other places, they offer multiple sizes. This shake has a generous amount of dates on it vs what I have had elsewhere. They also have fresh dates for sale, which are great and reasonable.”

“The food is amazing and extremely affordable. Today was my first time there, but I could tell it's a popular spot because there was a line of people waiting to be seated. Plus, I spotted a few people which seemed like regulars, including one guy who fist bumped the waiter. The staff is very friendly and they regularly check on you to see if you need anything else; they refilled my coffee several times. What stood out to me was the fact that they had senior specials, which I have never seen any other restaurant do before.”

“The wife and I traveled from Riverside to DHS to buy a vintage table and came upon this jewel when we headed back home. We found wonderful authentic food and warm and friendly service. Reasonable prices and a relaxed place to eat. If we are ever back in the area we will defiantly stop by. Give them a try small but nice.Wheelchair accessibility: Well cared for special attention”

“The ordering here is not like a standard sit-down restaurant. You are handed a paper menu, sit down, then must return to the counter for ordering. On the menu the combinations were not listed clearly as to how many items you get. We had to ask the waitress. That being said, the service was excellent. The decor is a combo of Mexico/ Old Hollywood done in beautiful murals. The food was good. I got cheese enchiladas rojas and my husband got the same along with a hard taco ala carte. Would return. Prices are about average.”

“Authentic delicious Mexican tacos! Nice welcoming family. We stopped in after leaving the Joshua Tree National Park. The tacos are large, filled to the brim with carnitas (or whatever else you crave). Nice condiments bar with spicy sauces. We got the creamiest guacamole on the side.The place is small with a few tables and booths. It’s accessible, with a large clean bathroom behind the kitchen. Ample parking right outside the restaurant.”

“What a nice place to get lunch and tasty Mexican food. The service could be friendlier, but I like the set up and how clean everything is. The staff kinda acts like you are bothering them when you ask for anything. But overall I will be back cause I liked my food.”

“After several months, we scheduled a visit for Sunday brunch. The Staff was welcoming, the atmosphere was friendly, and the scenery was peaceful and calm. Our party of 3 was offered seats outside next to a fire pit near the first hole of the golf course and hesitatingly obliged. Although it was a bit overcast, the fire kept us warm, even in short sleeves. We enjoyed a nice Sunday brunch and would highly recommend this gem of a place out of the way, quietly awaiting those taking the side road from Vegas to L.A. Note: it closes at 3pm on Sunday, so arrive accordingly. We will definitely keep this on our list of safe places to get quality food at reasonable prices.”

“Was in town recently and needed some dinner after a long day on the road. After giving the menu a couple read throughs I opted for the Forever with You roll and an order of the Vegetarian eggrolls. The service was professional, friendly and kind. My to go order was packed securely and with attention to details, including everything you might need in the package. The food was okay. The egg rolls (3 to an order) were crispy and golden brown, but the veggies were way over cooked, just mushy on the inside. The Forever with You roll was good, a nice large roll and very crunchy with nice texture and consistency throughout the roll, double ended shrimp tempura style. Sweet and spicy. A decent choice for my night there, and served its purpose. Had better and also had worse. 3.5 Stars rounded up because of the staffs attention to the details. 00941”
