“Our favorite Mexican dine-in in our neighborhood. I get a carnitas sope and my partner gets the tacos dorados special with rice and beans, but everyone seems to have their favorite order. Fresh squeezed orange juice is awesome! Cash only but there’s an atm.“

“I just had lunch with my two daughters, ages 12 and 15. It was our first time here.
We ordered three plates: two 3-birria taco combo plates and one order of vampire tacos with chorizo. We tried all the sauces that came with them, along with a 24-ounce horchata.
My girls and I are usually pretty loud. We talk. We’re animated. We gush over the food.
But when we ate these tacos, we ate in silence because the food was that good. To speak would have taken us out of the moment. So we said nothing. We just sat there, lost in our own thoughts, luxuriating in tender meats, spicy red sauce, and complex flavors.
This is how you get tweens to enjoy family time: really good tacos.
And guess who told me about this place? The 12-year-old. Apparently, it’s trending. I recommend it too.“

“This place is great! The food is delicious, and more importantly, the customer service is excellent. The staff is very attentive and makes you feel welcome. The prices on the menu are reasonable for the quality you get.
It’s located inside a shopping center, which makes parking convenient, although it can depend on the time of day. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained.
If you’re around the Eagle Rock area, this will definitely be your spot. They also serve Mexican food, which is a big plus.

“BEST Mexican food EVER!!☆☆☆☆☆ It's Always great seeing Roy every time I walk in that door! I reminisce the mid 80's when I was first introduced to his establishment by a mutual friend. The atmosphere is great, the staff is awesome, the food is simple, consistent, and always tastes great! Honestly, I was Very upset when Roy said he was going to close after so many years... but I'm glad he changed his mind! :) L'Abeja truly is a gem to the community! Not only does your great food warm our bellies, but also our hearts!♡♡♡ Btw, I recommend everything on the menu!“

“This food is great! Got a plate of carnitas and chile verde with extra habanero and it did not disappoint. I have a very high tolerance for spicy foods and I told them I wanted it to be extra spicy. The chili verde was not only very spicy but the meat itself was so good. I am sweating while typing this review. When I heard the blender in the back, I knew it was them blending in peppers for me. I’ll probably never get it this spicy but trust me I will finish my plate 🤣.
The carnitas are cooked to perfection. No complaints at all. I will be back and thank you again for making my chili verde muy picante!
(I’ll be sure to get it as is next time lol.)
My only complaint is the rice and beans portions. I wish it was more but they did put a good amount of proteins on both plates nevertheless, that won’t stop me from being a regular.“

“I was told this place was good by a group of friends. I was invited to a Torta with Carne Asada and was very impressed by the quality. It's very authentic food , flavor packed Mexican food a 2am hits different.
I definitely want to go back!

“I always passed by here and assumed it wouldn't taste authentic and when I finally decided to stop by and test it out I was proven wrong. The Birria Torta tasted amazing and melts in your mouth. It has avocado in it with no extra charge and the price is very reasonable. It costs less than food truck. 10/10 would recommend.“

“Stopped here after visiting the Museum of Death. I was surprised it wasn’t very busy. The service was quick, and the food was hot, but I wish there was salt at the table. My only suggestion is to treat solo diners a bit nicer. My server wasn’t rude, but I could tell I wasn’t a priority because I was by myself. Overall, the food was presented beautifully, the prices were reasonable, and I was served quickly. Happy with my experience here.“

“Love this place! We have been here before a few times and are always satisfied with anything we order. This time we decided not to break the bank for Valentine's day. And it was the perfect choice! The Guacamole and chips is a must. Everything we got was very yummy but the star of the show was the Guacamole and the baja shrimp 🍤 tacos 🌮 😋!! I like the vibes here and the service is on point. If there is only one negative it's parking.“

“My Daughter & I had dinner here tonight… the food was PHENOMENAL!!! Great Friendly Service too!! What a treat to sit at the bar & watch everything looking delicious coming out of the kitchen window!!! Pastrami Taco ($6.50)
Perfect taco bite for breakfast! Crispy pieces of pastrami & a sunny-side-up egg give you a mouthful of flavor.
Mushroom Taco ($8)
Even if you don’t eat meat or are fasting, Tu Madre has some great vegetarian options! The mushrooms were soft, packed with pickles, & didn’t feel like a cheap meat substitute.
Quesadilla + Chicken ($15.50 + $4.50 protein)
The quesadilla itself is plenty for one person or to split between two! The cheese inside is creamy, the chicken is tender, & the cheese on the outside is crispy. It almost feels like eating a pizza slice. The portion size for this price is amazing, & it includes sour cream, guac, & pico to dip your quesadilla in.“

“Look man, this place is understated from the jump, next door to that behemoth of a crowd draw... but I tell ya I've been 3x now in the past month or two and have been pleasantly surprised!!!
