Food was good, salmon nigiri was buttery! Chicken Teriyaki skillet portion seemed a bit smaller compared to other locations though. Atmosphere was great, some tables even get an ocean view! Server forgot to bring a couple of items we asked for (sauces) but not a big deal. Overall a great place to visit, especially for the character buns ?

Our family, including our kids, enjoyed a delicious dinner overlooking La Jolla cove. The menu is extensive with ramen, sushi, and many other asian inspired dishes. I enjoyed a sake flight and Miso Hot Ramen. My wife loved her Poke bowl and my kids loved the animal character bao buns with the favorite being the Bunny with Nutella filling. The also enjoyed a bowl of chicken ramen. The staff were very friendly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and very accommodating with our kids. Next time I am in La Jolla I will definitely eat there again.Kid-friendliness: Surprisingly, given that the ambiance feels very grown up, this was a great place to bring our kids to have ramen and bao buns.

My friends and I ate at Harumama on a not particularly busy night, but were extremely disappointed by the service. The servers were clearly doing their best, but the food came out painfully slowly and with no apology. If it had been a busy night we would have been very understanding, yet there weren’t enough parties to justify the lack of attention and oversight. Orders being mixed up, wrong items being brought out, etc. On top of that, my sushi was rolled terribly and the bao bao buns were cold and damp. Overall, extremely disappointed with the kitchen service in particular, and will likely not be returning.

Food was great, but we got forgotten by our waiter. We only saw him when we ordered and when he paid. They forgot the side dish for dipping sushi and didn’t have the sweet & sour dipping sauce for the crab wontons. Our food came before our drinks, and we had to ask for them again. At that point we were already over halfway done. When we were done we waited over 15 minutes, at which point I approached another waiter and asked for a to go box and the check. Place seems to be hit or miss in regard to service.

They're Service is very disorganized, easy going servers, but they bring out your party's food and appetizers one at a time so you most likely won't be eating all together. Plus with multiple servers bringing out food randomly, this has caused confusion for them when they hadn't realized that one of our dishes already came out. Furthermore, they are slow to clearing off and addressing the tables to make room for dessert and tried handing off the check before our final meal reached our table.Great views with good enough food, but I would refrain from dining in unless for a small casual meal.

Okay, if I could do 4.5 stars it would get it. That being said there were a couple things I couldn't overlook.Pros: let's just get it out of the way, the view is 5 stars. If ocean views mean something to you, get here during a non busy hour and enjoy a window seat.Probably the most rich and umami filled broth I've had in SD County. Both the flying pig and me so hot broths were..... I want to just take a pot home with me.The pork belly in my ramen, you could actually taste a real smoke flavor.Service was perfect. Came just enough. Not over bearing and not negligent of our needs.Cons: my ramen noodles were stuck together and not free flowing. The thing that really took it to 4.5 was I saw a few too many fruit flies and a single moth. We were close to the back not near any open windows or doors.100% a good date.

Make sure to ask for a window seat! Great views of La Jolla cove from the top. You’ll get to see the sea lions sun bathing as you eat. We had the salmon and eel nigiri for appetizers and the teriyaki salmon for the entree. It came out in a sizzling hot cast iron pan. The food was super filling and a relatively decent price for La Jolla. It was not too crowded on a Wednesday night. We didn’t make reservations and got a window seat. However on weekends I would recommend placing a reservation most likely.

Overpriced but cool. Dimly lit. The character buns were 100% the best part and the sake was great too. Decent chicken katsu and ramen and sushi.

Love the ocean view (of La Jolla Cove) if you get a booth table. Comfy and warm compared to Eddie V's outside tables.Enzo our server is a sweet man and serves with a smile. Love the Garden Party ramen dish and the veggie pot stickers (spicy). This La Jolla location offers lots of sushi and ramen dishes. Along with a yummy hard strawberry komcucha with wine and beer choices. Many other tables avail for large & small parties. Our s'mores desert is on its way!

Ramen broth is amazing but the noodles are generic tasting. Sushi is solid. The character buns are both adorable and delicious. The view is breathe taking. The service is pleasant but a bit slow due to understanding the lunchtime we were there.

Great ocean views, came for lunch when it wasn't busy but service was slow. Food was delicious, definitely get sushi and the character buns!

I like their shrimp bao bao the most. Their character buns are cute and worth trying at least once. I once tried their sushi but didn’t like it that much. The view is amazing.
