Had the iced matcha latte and it was sensational. My boyfriend had espresso and it had crema and everything.

One other customer in the shop - took over 1 hour to receive 3 pancakes (smaller than the palm of my hand). We ordered 3 drinks - took over 30 min. We were shocked since there was no one else in the store except one other.

The atmosphere at Elixir was beautiful and relaxing. I indulged in a delightful cacao drink, along with a gluten-free chocolate bar and caramel donut. The owner was exceptionally attentive and friendly. I am truly grateful for the wonderful experience, and my friends were equally impressed.

Do not recommend. When I first walked in the blender was deafening, I had to cover my kids ears. There was only one other group there: parents and a tot, no idea how they were sitting inside with all that noise. The person working greeted us right away and was very nice. There are two breads they use for toast, both vegan but one was gluten free... They only had the gluten free one. The honey cinnamon latte I had was decent, but should not be as expensive as it was. The quite pricey food took forever to come out, even though we were the only other party of three. I saw that the other table finally got their food after we sat down outside (again, too dang loud in there.) The food looks beautiful, but that's about it. The blueberry pancakes were tough/hard. The fig/ricotta toast (on gluten free bread, since they didn't have another option) had barely any ricotta and wasn't *toasted. The pumpkin pancakes were ok but a bit mushy. All the items were very small, like snack size or child size (like how much food I give my 4 year old). Again, the presentation was pretty, the list of ingredients was good, and the server was friendly. But the food wasn't good no matter how much coconut shaving you put on it or how pretty the flower is that tops it, the ingredients are more for people who think they are being fancy/healthy rather than actually good for you, and no matter how friendly our server was it was still an order and pay (and tip) at the counter before sitting like any other express food/cafe. And they only had one person working on a Saturday morning when all the other places to eat around here had long lines (but now I see why this was so empty.) The connected spiritual wellness place that I think this is an offshoot from should consider paring way down their menu so they can keep just smoothies and coffees that you can put the offered "flower essence" drops in to.

The cacao is delicious and highly recommend joining a workshop. The New Moon Cacao ceremony was lovely with a meditation, journaling, and intention setting. Love being able to connect with like minded people in a beautiful space

Elixir De Lalune is like a healthy spa experience for the taste buds, but the ambience is also soothing for the soul. Investing in our health doesn't have to mean eating wheat grass and things that taste like cardboard.Eating plant-based is often unbelievably delectable and this cafe was a testament to that! I eat plant-based for my health, for animals, for the planet and this cafe made that the most luxuriously delicious experience. What did I order?HOUSE OVERNIGHT OATS (V,GF) ~ chilled oats, vanilla, cinnamon, topped with granola and seasonal berriesBANANA BLUEBERRY PANCAKES (V,GF) ~ all oat flour pancakes topped with bananas, blueberries, and shredded coconutCALIFORNIA HEAT WRAP ~ coconut cassava wrap, spicy white bean quinoa patty, black bean mash, romaine, cabbage, tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, hot sauceFor dessert (all raw vegan!): matcha rose and salted caramel pecan donuts, house-made caramel date square and their raw snicker bar. All heaven on a plate!I want to come back ASAP and write my novel here, sip on their ridiculously creative & scrumptious lattes, and relish the nourishing, girlie ambiance. Plus they have the CUTEST shop next door with crystal studded journals, beautiful books and so much more.

Cute little spot in bird rock next to a cute shop with healing like gems and sprays. There were two people behind the counter who were very nice and helpful. I got overnight oats, which were good. My friend's avocado toast was, according to her, really yummy with the sourdough bread. I'd probably give this place a 4.5, but I rounded up since they were so nice. I would've liked if they had some music on, but that's my only complaint.

Notes for the owner (to accelerate Elixir’s + Lavande’s growth, if desired):[Went there 9/9/23 at about 5pm - a Saturday]Add soothing music throughout both locations. It will really help with the ambiance of the location, making it more inviting for people and an immersive + enjoyable experience while they are there. Otherwise, the place feels quite dead and still - and not in a good way.Upgrade your staff. People who want to be there. We noticed the staff at Elixir didn’t really enjoy being there, seemed upset. Honestly, it would’ve been amazing if the owner was there at Lavande to talk with and be available. Or at least a very close, trustworthy, and highly knowledgeable staff member that is very involved with everything happening at Lavande to give a sense of pulse and heart to this place. A sense of friendliness would also be very helpful in this regard. Otherwise, it feels like the life of the place isn’t there. And it reflects in how relatively unknown the Elixir + Lavande pair is compared to a similar location in La Jolla: Trilogy Sanctuary, which has over 10x the amount of reviews compared to here, and likely that amount more of traffic too. What’s going right:Excellent decor + interior design, it’s divineExcellent online branding via website, beautiful design with the hummingbirds, love itLove that you’re offering workshops thereYou’re in La Jolla, which is a great selling point in itselfYou have changing rooms for the clothing items you sell which is an excellent addition, and most of your clothing selection seemed very fashionable

Sad to lose a purely vegan cafe, but they still have amazing vegan and gluten free food, amongst meat entrees. Would definitely be five stars if still all vegan.

I absolutely loved this magical coffee shop, beautiful decor, amazing vibes, delicious coffee and donuts. Super cute adjoining shop that sells unique jewelry, and so much more!
