I'm writing this review primarily to say how great the staff and General Manager are at this Albertsons in La Mesa, CA. I'm disabled, and have had several encounters with the General Manager. He is always willing to help you out with anything you need, even if it's just for the littlest of things. I had to ask him for a favor today, TWICE, for the very same thing. He was very gracious. I get the same service from the rest of the staff as well. In addition to the store's service, the store has a great atmosphere. It's very clean inside as well. Furthermore, the food is always fresh and delicious. I know because my partner buys our groceries there sometimes. I know that their prices are a bit higher than most stores, but you get what you pay for is a phrase that is no where more true than here. I should also mention the pharmacy. I recently got my sixth Covid Vaccine Shot, and they were more than helpful. I was able to use my own insurance.

This store has really gone downhill in the last year. They are really bad about keeping shelves stocked and having items in the ad available as well. Today they didn't have the pasta shelf stocked well at all! The pasta wasn't even on sale! This is not the only time this store has been poorly stocked and it is truly frustrating.

As a member of the lgbtqia+ community I usually use the men's bathroom to not cause any problems. But the men's bathroom here is broken and it was an emergency. And the manager Ken and the young girl who works at the self checkout line refused to let me use my gender's bathroom for no reason. I have shopped here for months and I have been treated so poorly today I will be shopping at Trader Joe's and Ralph's from now on I will also be contacting corporate about Ken's terrible customer service.

Idk why people give this place more then 1 star. Very expensive even using the membership number. The people works in the deli always rude. They look upset when u buy something from them. I try not to go there. But unfortunately it’s close to ky house l, so sometimes I have no choice.

It is absolutely ridiculous you would only have 1 cashier after 8pm during the summertime! It is so unreasonable and unfair to both your employee and your customers! I had to wait in line 30 minutes because myself and all the customers in front of me had alcohol purchases

I used to come to this store for many years. The staff are always respectful and friendly. Unfortunately today I was very disappointed with this young brunette lady with glasses and ponytail I rang at the bell for customer service at the liquor department no one showed up and I repressed again after a while this young lady showed up angry and frustrated by saying that we heard you and notifying me that I called many times. She was rude with a boorish attitude. She made me feel guilty, She could say" thank you for your patience" or "sorry for the wait" with a smile. She really needs to learn how to communicate with customers.

We have over a dozen places within an easy drive to buy groceries. We frequent four for various reasons but this one is a mainstay. The primary reason is the excellent quality and extensive selection of products. We are enrolled in their membership discount program and check the "for U member" coupons online for additional savings. We gather mostly stapes starting with a selection of fresh produce and salad kits. Then move around the store perimeter, bakery, meats and dairy. Finally we gather the few remaining items needed from the isles and freezer sections. Either with self-check or traditional checker, they always offer friendly helpful assistance including bagging and help to the car if needed. We especially appreciate the clear signage and well-stocked shelves and availability of the helpful staff.

The service was GREAT! The lady at the deli helped me with some potato salad and was very friendly! She really treated me like a valuable customer and was engaging. The store was cleans and I was able to get in and out in minutes just in time to make it back to work. I'll definitely continue to come to this store with great service! Thank you!!

This is for all of people wanting to place online delivery orders. BUYER BEWARE! I was very excited because I found decent prices on things I love the most. Imagine my surprise when everything was a higher price!! I called the store and they gave me an 800# for "corporate." Turns out I am receiving a refund for $35...yes, such a gross gauging. No deals were acknowledged and no discounts applied. Watch your bank accounts because big business is in it for themselves. My favorite bread was substituted for another at $3 more per loaf.The guy at corporate reviewed my original order and made the changes...apologizing profusely.

I don't know what to say and where to complain because of the garbage that they sell I want to know there is manager or someone from health department check the chicken breast they put in the plate and sell it to people and pay $15 for two pieces one of the pieces was all injected with blood so it's go to the garbage plus make us gross it out I don't know what we eat? This is unhealthy look at the picture

I tried coming here for some lobster tails. I waited at the meat dept counter for 15 minutes. I tried to ask the deli dept to call someone, but no one came. Upon Check out, one of the managers checked out my groceries. I asked for a meat dept clerk to get what I needed, but the manager shrugged and ignored my requests. He attempted to have the meat rep call his phone but when he didn't call, no attempt to solve the problem was made. Poor customer service, I can not recommend this place.

My earlier review was partly comparing Albertsons to Target...I feel that Albertsons is pulling ahead of Target for groceries in both variety and somewhat in cost. Just make sure you look at Albertsons' own brands for lower prices.Also, and retailers don't often mention this - but their own store brands are not manufactured by them. They just purchase the same product from a company that makes it for better-known brands. They just hide this for the benefit of the parties involved.Meaning: buying the store brand often means the same quality as the famous brands. Don't pay for the brand. Pay for the quality.

We went there there years ago because a friend recommended their fried chicken. We thought it was so so and did not go back for years until other friends told us how much they like the fried chicken and potatoes. Back we went again, thinking the food may have improved. At the deli we were kept waiting for five minutes because the person who was working said the person in charge of the chicken had to serve us. There were only a few pieces of chicken and potatoes left, so our first question to the person in charge of the chicken was if they were going to make more. The answer was "I don't know". So much for being in charge. Against our better judgement we bought a few pieces of what they had and regretted it. Greasy, dried out, mostly breading and way too salty. Never again.We did walk around the rest of the store and were not impressed. There are three locally owned Supermarkets in the area, I'd rather give them my business any day. Avoid!
