“Absolutely fantastic!!! My wife and I had lunch here today and it was delicious. The salsa was fantastic. My wife said that the chicken in her tacos was the best she's ever had. She's from San Diego and eats Mexican food daily. My fajitas were fantastic with homemade tortillas.

“I was looking for a good taco place and I came across Covyd Tacos on Yelp and decided to try them. Unaware that they were just serving on tables under a shade during the evenings, I gave them a try and ordered asada and cabeza burritos. I became a regular after that night and they practically knew me by name. Their burritos are very delicious and their servings are generous. They also had quesadillas, and a variety of tacos. They also have Al Pastor which is really tasty. They do not accept credit cards but they accept Venmo payments. I now miss their tacos and burritos since I was only in La Puente for 5 weeks but would be their customer again if I go back to La Puente, California again.”

So if you want to buy in bulk this is a good place. Otherwise the prices are the same as if you go to an Asian market like 99 ranch, Fukuya or duo duo. They do have snacks and candies too.”

“I've been going for over 30 years and was so disappointed in their food today. I get that food prices have gone up and the portions are smaller these day. I like the smaller portions. But to serve a half basket of chips and salsa in a little dressing cup that my chip cant fit in was disappointing. Their delicious green salsa verde with piece of meat in it was so not the same taste and was not good. I dont know when and if I'll ever go back again because of the disappointing quality of food.”

I came here since there was no line and they also have a drive thru. Ordered a burger with orange bang and fries. The workers were so friendly and the combo was such a good deal. Under $12 and the burger was big and came with alot of fries! Ill be back.”

The restaurant was clean and bright, vibes were great, very family friendly and had a lot of decorations for the world cup which was cool. Had the tostada mixta, tasted super fresh and flavorful and we also had the molcajete mar y tierra, both were very very good. We will return soon 😋”

Only caviot with the quesadilla was that it was soaked in oil. Usually when making that style of quesadilla you put just enough oil to soak in and cook with the tortilla but for it to be like that it was swimming in oil. Not to say it was bad but it was delicious but it could of been healthier with a little oil moderation. Overall great food environment and service. Definitely going back maybe even making it a once a week addition.”

We’ve tried the flautas, sopes, huaraches, tacos dorados, enchiladas, French fries and agua de melon & Jamaica. Their coffee is served hot and is very tasty. They give chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious. They get busy and sometimes it takes them a while to come around for refills but overall the staff is nice and the food comes out quickly. Since discovering this hidden gem, we’ve already been back twice and will continue to return. Also, their prices are very reasonable and the portions are great as well.”

Definitely buying it again. The restaurant has good prices and seating. They also have the 1. 2 or three entree specials. My soup and steamed rice came out to $15.20. which is the average. I enjoyed it and saved 1/2 for later.”
