“Fresh, bold, the tortillas say it all; assured, pillowy, layered and complex while being buttery soft and simple. That mole, with its sweet darkness, a hint of kick. The chips come to your table already sprinkled liberally with love; frijoles negros y cotija, one red and one green salsa - all this off the bat once you concede that yes, you would like some chips. I had the Chiapas #3 on the host’s recommendation and it was delicious - the chorizo and eggs was a bit oversalted, I think they double salted the chorizo and then again in the eggs, so that did show up a bit strong. I got the flautas which were lovely and thin while still being substantial. I got the platanos duros con crema dulce for desert, so good, just the right amount of char for sweet and a little savory. The chicken soup tastes unique, fresh, delicious. The spoon you use will be coated in viscous, golden goodness. A bunch of this food I got to go to share with a friend. We are both happy I came. Final note, I felt comfortable, safe, and welcome as a solo lady diner. 🌹🙏🏾”

“The best pizza I habe ever had glad I grew up in La Puente. I have overnightes pizza to friends and family in other states from here. Pizza in NY cant touch scardinos and comparing any other pizza to scardinos pizza is extreamly unfair to the other pizza as its in a class of its own. When I was a kid I remember one of the older italian owners at a grocery store complaining to tge manager that the freshness and quality of one of the I'm ingredients was not fresh or quality enough. I dont recall exactly. But I knew when I grew up to own a business I would be that crazy about quality. This is a family own and ran business and I cant express what this place and the food means to our community. We are so very lucky to have them! You have never lived until you have had scardinos pizza or tried one of everything on the menu and I mean this from the bottom of my soul. -SGV”

“I was looking for a good taco place and I came across Covyd Tacos on Yelp and decided to try them. Unaware that they were just serving on tables under a shade during the evenings, I gave them a try and ordered asada and cabeza burritos. I became a regular after that night and they practically knew me by name. Their burritos are very delicious and their servings are generous. They also had quesadillas, and a variety of tacos. They also have Al Pastor which is really tasty. They do not accept credit cards but they accept Venmo payments. I now miss their tacos and burritos since I was only in La Puente for 5 weeks but would be their customer again if I go back to La Puente, California again.”

Got 3 3 items combos work wonton soup extra rice noodles and rice and a lrg coke for $56. Fed 6 people with almost half leftover. They also have a special 3 lrg items and rice,noodles egg flower or hot & sour soup and 4.soda.cans
