This is an authentic panaderia! It is very small. You walk in and pick your pastries using a tray and tongs. Place your tray up on the counter and ring the bell. Someone comes to the counter and rings you up. The prices are super cheap. I only paid $2.50 for 2 large sized pastries. The lady who rang me up was very nice and explained the process, since this was my first visit.
We tried a lemon bar, apricot tart, and chocolate chip cookie. Service was friendly and efficient, but I'm sorry to say the items were only fair. The crust of the lemon bar was not light and melt-in-your-mouth. It was not bursting with lemon flavor. The crust of the apricot tart was not at all flaky. Apricot topping flavor only okay. We wanted to try a new place for breakfast. Sat outside by the fountain. Lovely Saturday morning to enjoy some eggs Benedict the way Phil Mickelson orders them, avocado instead of Canadian bacon. Bought some almond croissants to go. Wow!! Beyond delicious. The service was great.
