“DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A TAKE OUT PLACE ONLYI came here to get food for lunch. I ordered online and food was available in 15 mins. When I returned i noticed I was missing an item. I called and they asked to come back and my order was ready as soon as I arrived. Most people would not give 5 stars for missing items but the way it was handled shows exceptional service. They do not have a lot of options for Hawaiian BBQ but their sushi rolls and egg rolls are amazing.“

“I was craving poke and came for a quick lunch! They give you a piece of paper where you can just circle whatever you want on the bowl and you give it to the cashier when you're ready to order! I think because of this the bowls come out really fast! The salmon and tuna were big portions and really fresh! I definitely want to come back! This plaza also has a lot of parking so no need to worry about that!“

“The food here is excellent and fresh. I oversee an asphalt crew and travel all over for work. I stumbled on this gem about 4 months ago and will venture off the beaten path to have their food over places that are more convenient because it's that good. It's not cheap but it's not expensive either. Maybe a little more than typical but worth every penny.“

“I was visiting Botanic Garden in Claremont this past weekend. Afterwards, I shopped at Trader Joe's (TJ) and picked up some chicken kabobs from Boca Burger. I promised my eldest daughter that I would buy a poke bowl for her. At first, I thought of Oh Poke which would have been closer since it was in the same center as where TJ was located. But I've already tried it a long time ago. I looked on Yelp to see where else has poke bowls. Poke Dot came up and it was less than or about a mile away so that was my next stop. Thank you Yelp!!! Poke Dot is within the Claremont Village. It's actually on Indian Hill Blvd. There are small parking lots and street parking available. This poke joint has a bright and inviting ambiance. No one was in here when I arrived which was great for me so I can take lots of photos. Staff was super friendly and nice. I needed a minute to check out their fishes and toppings. Everything was very fresh. I couldn't help myself and got two large poke bowls. Each bowl comes with 5 scoops. Price was on the higher end of $19.95 per large bowl compared to other poke places that I've been to. But that didn't stop me from getting them LOL. I asked to try the brown rice and the gentleman was nice to give me a small sample cup of it. It was piping hot right out of the rice cooker. It was soft and fluffy. I was SOLD! Both poke bowls pretty much had the same ingredients except for the base where mine had half brown rice and half salad. My daughter got all white rice. As for the fishes, I went with 3 scoops of salmon and 2 scoops of tuna. They also had albacore, shrimp, scallop, octopus, spicy tuna, and tofu. As for toppings, I got everything that was there... cucumbers, onions, cilantro, jalapeños, original and spicy crab meat, and avocados. As for crunches, I got everything, too... tempura, hot cheetos, fried onions, masago, seaweed seeds, and furikake. Lastly, topped with seaweed salad, edamame beans, ginger, and wasabi. As for sauces, I got them on the side... spicy mayo, medium spice house sauce, and cilantro twist. That was a whole lot of goodness. The lady had a hard time sealing the bowls... they were that full. I love the over the top poke bowl. Hey, there's a new label for it. My poke bowl was so full that I had to pick at each corner slowly. It was so fresh and delicious! The only gripe is that a few of the salmon chunks had muscle tissue attached. No big deal. I would definitely be back here for more tasty poke bowls. But next time, I may just have the whole bowl mixed in with the sauces. Highly recommend this Poke Dot!!!“

“Just a little hole in the wall , with really good food, older decor, nothing special for dining in, but really good food and fast with a friendly staff, definitely more of a lunch or dinner take out place, but really good food, did I mention the really good food?“

“The food was good, about average portion for the price. There were less protein choices than I'm used to and the crab salad was different than all the ones I've ever seen. Restuarant inside appeared clean. The amount of trash out in parking lot was off-putting.“

“I had the Aloha Pick One plate with BBQ beef as my entree. Wow, I was floored when I put it in my mouth. I'm not a huge fan of BBQ'd anything, but I'm not even exaggerating when I say this was the best meat-centric meal I've had in years. The beef was so well flavored, and it wasn't too sweet like most BBQ meat I've tried (a huge turn-off for me). It had the perfect balance of flavors, and the beef wasn't chewy either. So, so good! My biggest regret was not getting a Pick Two plate instead. ? I'm definitely gonna be back to try more stuff on their menu.“

It's the usual line up of choose your base: salad, brown or white rice or half/half and then proteins and add on's. Highly recommend coming out here to have a delicious poke on rice and salad.“

“Been coming here for years and it's my go to poke place! I always get the 3 scoops of shrimp for my bowl. The food is always fresh, never had an issue with that. The service is quick, you go in and can get out in 5-10 minutes depending on the line. Only issue is it can feel warm/stuffy in there. Not a great feeling/vibe to have when ordering seafood or fresh ingredients, but the food is kept at a good cold temp. So it's not a worry of that. Give this place a try!!“

“Party of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids went to Ono Hawaiian BBQ for dinner. This Ono Hawaiian BBQ location is modern, and seems more recently renovated. You order everything at counter, for to go orders use app. We order Hawaii BBQ mix and Seafood Mix. Wife and daughter like seafood mix, and I like bbq meat. Great size for box and lots of meats and seafood. Plenty of rice in each box and we order one fountain drink. It's not as water down as other fast food chains. I can still taste soda. This location is newer. Order making speed is efficient, food taste is more 3.5ish. I like the decor and vibe. It's similar to one at Monterey Park. Will be back to try more Hawaiian BBQ!“
