“Just the best taco place in the area. Creative, unique, and incredibly flavored tacos. The charred broccoli taco and all their seasonal vegetarian tacos are always incredible. I’d strongly recommend this place to people like myself who love a traditional Al pastor/carne asada taco, they have fantastic meat options and you will be very impressed the veggie options - and you absolutely must come if you are vegetarian/vegan. My only complaint is that they aren’t open enough for how much I crave their food.“

“Just wow, being from San Diego I have the highest standards for Mexican food. This blew me out of the water! Shrimp is always hit or miss at Mexican restaurants but this was seriously fresh + amazing chips (which they filled up twice for free). Owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. Great spicy salsas too!“

“The best damn tacos in Oakland, full stop. Usually carne asada is a throwaway order, bland cardboard for white people (like me) who don't know anything about Mexican food (fortunately not like me). Not here. A friend who used to be a Michelin star chef proclaimed this the best carne asada he'd had outside of Mexico, and I agree wholeheartedly. And that's not where the show stops. Super legit pastor, fire fish tacos, solid vegetarian options, and don't skip the specials--I have yet to be let down. The brisket barbacoa especially is one of my top three tacos I've had in my entire life. Get the handmade flour tortillas, it's worth the extra money. And did I mention unlimited guacamole? Show me another place with unlimited guacamole. Not to mention the otherworldly salsa matcha. Don't sleep on this spot.“

“This place is a winner. I've had several burritos (carne asada, al pastor, and pollo) and tortas (pollo both times), and they were all excellent. Not dry, tons of everything, large portions, not over-priced. I hope these people can stick around. Support them!“

“Spectacular pastor regardless of delivery vessel - my favorite happens to be their decadent quesadilla, but you really can’t go wrong with any selection. Warm friendly and efficient service coupled with elite expertly prepared pastor amidst a hyper-authentic vibe.“

“This place is a weekend go to! I like the Camaron taco most, and the Pollo tacos are really good too. I’ve tried nearly all the vegan tacos in Oakland, and this is my favorite by far.Heart and dagger is around the corner, and they let you bring in food, so that’s a nice option, or the live music at the farmer’s market Saturday afternoons.“

“Another case of Kevin forgetting to take pics of the food! But don't let that stop you. My carna asada buttito was super tasty. Filling but not gut busting. Nice flavor, good pieces of meat, decent amount of beans and guacamole. Could have used some extra heat - next time going ask for jalapeños to be added when its being made. Shrimp burrito had plenty of shrimp for our son. He enjoyed it. Wife was initially puzzled by her burrito since it started out all meat and rice before she hit her guac and sour cream. Good experience. Decent pricing. Super friendly service.“

“Nice lunch spot. Dinnner is much more chill. Very clean location, always friendly & fast service. The food is standard fare, the flavors are right but not super spicy, probably to accomodate all clientelle. I appreciate the salsa bar & that Door Dash is an option. Always a good experience.Vegetarian options: 5 items.Parking: Busiest at lunch but shopping center is large.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and booster seats. Cups with lids. No kids menu.“

“Beautiful decor of clean modern lines with a Corporate kind of feel. Cloth napkins though & friendly informed staff. We started with a firecracker salmon roll & then enjoyed our mains . The roll was ok but the bowls were truly tasty. I had the Latin chimichurri bowl with a grilled yellowtail cooked perfectly. Topped with a delicious chimichurri sauce. It was served on a salad dressed nicely. I enjoyed everything in my bowl ,Hubby got the Japanese Wasabi bowl. Very good. We both opted for the regular Size which was a little large but we finished most of it. In hindsight we would share a regular size but double the protein which they will add more or different kinds to the bowl for extra. The coffee was served French press style which was a wonderful surprise & quite tasty. All in all would we go back yes. The service was attentive & friendly. All the food was fresh clean and yummy. 5 stars“

“Nice little hole in the wall Papuseria. The food was delicious, especially the fried plantains! We ordered a wet burrito, different types of papusas, yuca frita and plantains. Let's just say, all my kids gobbled down their food w no complaints (unheard of).Service was fast, friendly owner and cooks. Def not a sit down restaurant type of a place. It is more for dropping in and having a quick bite or getting your food to go.Parking: Parking available in front and on the side of the restaurant. It is not located in a place where there is heavy foot traffic or shops etc.Kid-friendliness: It's very laid back.“

“Great quality, always get it the way you ask for it, reasonable prices.... I stayed on a late night truck run when my wife was pregnant. You could throw a rock and hit 5 taco trucks in the same area and none are as good. There's this one guy who always asks about my kids always is friendly but he's the same way with everyone, no favorites. Quality spot in the cut...“

“My son and I came here two times during our visit to catch some baseball in San Fran and Oakland. Don't let the area distract you. It is heavy industrial and is fairly safe and the food here is exceptional and some of the best tacos I have ever had. For 10 to 12 bucks a person you walk out of here very full and can't complain a bit.“

“I've been driving past this amazing kitchen on wheels for the past yr and never have I bothered to stop & look. This ain't just a taco truck, they do breakfasts, burgers & birria. What more can you ask for. Run by nice folks. I'll definitely be back.“

“This is by far, in my opinion, the best taco truck in Oakland. I ordered two regular asada burritos, which come with cheese and sour cream, for me and bro. As always, there were a bunch of others ordering their food as well, but the wait wasn’t bad at all. The area isn’t the best, but I’ve been coming here for decades and have never had any issues. Don’t cheat yourself, if you haven’t had tacos or burritos from here, TRY IT TODAY!“

“Great folks on staff, always ready to recommend good beers. They always have a good food option, with different vendors coming in on different days. ALWAYS an amazing beer selection, be sure to get some beers to go from the fridge doors as “
“@ the Barbara lady - do you think the other vendors you mentioned don't use can beans - com'on get a grip! $15 is nothing compared to the great taste, customer service and the quality. The Burritos are delicious - Super Burrito's (2 meals in one) they are not street tacos by any stretch. Leave it to people like you who try to hurt small businesses with your negative vibes. We wish you well!“
“Burrito de asada: I Love that meat is not too fatty, it has a bit of kick in it, great balance of meat, beans, rice, cream, onions and flavor overall. The two times I’ve gone there have been to change my tires at Ortiz and every time I’m like yes if I am ever there I will grab a bite.Horchata: not too sweet my kind of refreshmentParking: Taco truck is located in the same area as Ortiz tires there is about 4-5 slots for parking. If you wish to sit they do have a picnic bench available.“
“Must Try! I went for the long awaited first time last week and I loved the place! I asked for 4 steak tacos with chips and guacamole to be divided into 2 to go bags and they cheerfully split the 1 order of chips and guacamole. They were busy and they worked together as a team getting the food out fast and a problem with the cash system working. It's a great family feel, with high quality ingredients. The best thing is the steak is so tasty!! I'm impressed with the from scratch guacamole, everything is very fresh. I noticed the tall rotisserie of marinated pork and I'm excited to try that this week!! It's such a great edition to The Glenview.“

“We came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. There was no line when we got there. You order and pay at the counter. They had plenty of seats available in the dining area. The place was clean and tidy. We both ordered the pescado frito which came with/ rice, your choice of beans, salad, pickled onions and plantains. I ordered a very delicious mango agua fresca and he ordered a margarita. It took about 15 minutes to get our food. The whole plate was delicious. The fish was nice and crispy, the salad was perfect and before I knew it, I had finished my plate. I was stuffed and the food was perfectly portioned for me. We bussed our own plated and that was the whole experience. Will definitely be back.“

As soon as I walked through the door, I was captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The aroma of freshly prepared spices filled the air, instantly transporting me to the heart of Mexico. Cecilia's dedication to preserving the authentic flavors of Zacatecas cuisine shines through in every dish. The menu is a treasure trove of traditional delights, showcasing her expertise in crafting delectable recipes. The Birria, a slow-cooked stew bursting with rich flavors, was an absolute standout. Each spoonful was a heavenly blend of tender meat, aromatic spices, and a hint of smokiness. It was a true testament to the care and passion that goes into Cecilia's cooking. Another must-try at this restaurant is the Zacatecas-style Gorditas. These handheld delights are made with love and expertise, with a perfectly fluffy masa exterior encasing a variety of mouthwatering fillings. Whether you opt for savory meats or flavorful vegetarian options, each bite is a symphony of textures and tastes that will leave you craving more. To complement the meal, Cecilia offers traditional Mexican beverages that are as refreshing as they are authentic. The Café de la Olla is a fragrant and invigorating cup of coffee brewed with cinnamon and piloncillo, giving it a unique twist. And the Agua de Horchata, a rice and cinnamon-based drink, provides a soothing and creamy accompaniment to the vibrant flavors of the food. It's clear that Cecilia's passion for cooking stems from her upbringing and the invaluable knowledge passed down to her by her mother. Her dedication to preserving the culinary traditions of Zacatecas is evident in every plate she serves. Not only does she deliver exceptional food, but her warmth and welcoming nature also create an inviting ambiance that makes dining at her restaurant a truly memorable experience. In addition to her culinary prowess, Cecilia's persistence as a Latina business owner deserves applause. It is inspiring to see her success and how she has brought a taste of Zacatecas to our community. Supporting local businesses like Cecilia's is a way to celebrate culture and diversity while enjoying incredible food.“
