“Great experience dining with family on a special occasion. The chef provided a flavorful experience that was memorable. And our team of servers made us feel pampered. Valet parking and metered street parking options are available.”
“Excellent experience! One of those menus that has SO many good options it’s very hard to choose. Awesome selection of unique wines you don’t see most other places with many of them available BTG. Can’t wait to go back”
“The Montage Loft restaurant is nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the friendly and attentive staff went above and beyond to make our experience special. The highlight of the meal was the steak—it was hands down one of the best I've ever had, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. To top it off, the view was absolutely gorgeous, adding a breathtaking backdrop to an unforgettable evening. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience!”

“I use to go to RH with my family in the 70's. Atmosphere always transported us to Hawaii. They were famous for BB ribs, drinks, unique salad (with mayo dressing) and even served a bowl of crudite' with celery, salami, etc. every meal. I didn't like the modern re model, however, NOW THIS RE BUILD iS so cool! Just like the 1970's but better!! Dim lit and Hawaiian music set the mood. I was really anxious to try the ribs again. The service was GREAT appetizer excellent but, ribs, BAD! They were not edible. Hard and chewy, like beef jerky. I was so disappointed and all of our party ordered and received the same. I may try again but won't order ribs!!!”

“We were visiting from Australia, when we stumbled across this place - we had a wonder experience with both the food and service.
Our server was so friendly and we really enjoyed having a chat to him in the restaurant. All of the dishes we ordered were beautiful.
we would highly recommend !!!”

“The best pizza I have had maybe in my life. Im from Connecticut, so Im spoiled with the famous New Haven pizzerias we have there, but this was just as good if not better. We ordered a prosciutto pizza and two Margherita “pizette” pizzas with sausage and pepperoni. Besides the fact that it was amazing, the crust was the surprise star. Cooked just right, just the right chewy-ness, and the pizza itself wasn’t greasy. When you’re really hungry, and you imagine how amazing a pizza would taste, this ends up tasting better than what you hoped for which is very hard to do. Seriously amazing pizza.
Vegetarian options: Great selection of non-meat pizza options.”
“Each dish is spectacular. Love the calamari ….can be an appetizer to share or eat on your own with a salad. 230:Forest Avenue never disappoints!!!”

“These sandwiches are really fresh and so delicious. It is noticeable that these young people also think about the environment and wrap everything in paper instead of plastic, which is rare in the USA.
What surprised us a bit is the service. The girl was very taciturn and when asked if there was dry coffee she said yes but not now! But it still smelled like coffee ??♀️ If the team becomes a little more relaxed with the guests and offers this quality of sandwiches, the shop will be really full every day and they'll open the next ones soon! So, keep it up, you're doing very well. Thanks”
“If you want a unique dining experience this is the place to go. The wait staff and servers they were all on point very attentive I never had to look around to look for anyone if I raised my head somebody was right at my table to find out what I needed or how they could serve me. Awesome awesome experience wonderful food. I will be back!”
“Had a craving for coffee after walking by the beach so I googled spots nearby. With so many options (never Starbucks) I saw this one had a pretty fair amount of good reviews. It’s pretty small, not a lot of seating, but you’re by the beach so not really a priority.
I took a look at the specialty menu and I have to say, nothing too crazy. I settled in the cherries and cream latte. I didn’t really taste anything special. The coffee itself wasn’t bad, just didn’t stand out”
“This is my favorite coffee in Orange County and I’m a coffee snob!!
First of all, they use organic coffee beans and organic whole milk as an automatic in the lattes!! This is literally my dream come true.
Each time I go, it feels like that small mom and pop coffee spot where you can have a convo with the barista and feel like it’s home.
The location is perfect. You have a view of the ocean and a few chairs and small tables to sit and drink with the view.
Whenever I’m on this side of OC, you’ll find me grabbing a 10oz latte from Equator.”
“Delicious ice cream. This was my first time going to south swell ice cream. The only issue I had was that the menu was a bit confusing. I wish they had images of the ice cream instead of the description. Since this was my first time I was asking a lot of questions. Otherwise the staff were very patient with me and answered all my questions. The ice cream is very delicious. The price is reasonable too.”

“Brunch with my bestie. We were sat outside with a view of the private beach. We watched the occasional surfer and serene waves while sipping prosecco and enjoying each other's company. The staff is lovely. The seating is comfortable. The food is delightful, and we enjoyed very nice surprises, such as precisely how big and delicious the cinnamon roll is. I've never in my life been excited about a cinnamon roll. This one changes everything. It's perfectly seasoned, perfectly browned outside and fluffy inside, and perfectly gooey - not at all runny. The seafood salad and eggs benny were just as good. I never thought about using focaccia for eggs Benedict, but here we are and it ruined us for any other configuration for this dish. Every single interaction was sincerely positive, and I can't say enough about how each encounter with a team member, even brief, remains on my mind. An unforgettable experience. Will return and will recommend.
Parking: Parking is valet only as far as I can tell.”
“Tango Laguna Beach is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with top-notch service that feels warm, friendly, and incredibly personable. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome and well taken care of.
The atmosphere is vibrant yet classy, striking the perfect balance between a lively energy and sophisticated ambiance. It’s a place where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings while soaking in the chic vibe.
Now, let’s talk about the food and drinks—phenomenal is an understatement! Every dish is bursting with flavor and presented with care. The cocktails are expertly crafted, complementing the menu perfectly. What’s even more impressive is the value; the quality you get here for such an affordable price is unmatched in Laguna Beach.
Whether you’re looking for a night out with friends, a romantic dinner, or simply a place to unwind with fantastic food and drinks, Tango Laguna Beach is the spot. Highly recommend visiting—you won’t be disappointed!”
“The Lumberyard located in beautiful downtown Laguna Beach is a great place to have lunch or dinner. There is a new $16 lunch menu and I decided to try the fish tacos. There was a choice between salmon or halibut for the tacos which included shredded cabbage with a pink cream sauce and a side of black bean and corn salad. I chose the halibut for my taco and it was cooked perfectly. It was a generous portion of fish in each of the tacos so it could easily be split with a friend. The service was excellent. Our orders were taken within about five minutes of sitting down and the food came out quickly after we ordered. I would recommend the Lumberyard if you are visiting Laguna Beach. You will need to have reservations during the Art Festivals or when there is a play at the Playhouse.”
“We visited The Ranch on a busy Saturday evening without a reservation, and to our pleasant surprise, the staff welcomed us warmly and offered us seats at the bar. Their friendly and accommodating attitude set the tone for a great experience from the start.
The vibe at the bar was fantastic — lively yet comfortable. It felt like the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a good glass of wine. We decided to go for a wine and cheese platter, and it was absolutely delicious.
The rest of the food was tasty and well-prepared.”
“Been a long time since we had been here and it still has the quirky charm it always has. Everything was great, and the server was super friendly. The only issue was that the hen was super dry but they made it right ASAP, everything else was perfect. Will be going back.
Parking: If you're coming, I strongly suggest using uber or lyft because parking is always hard to find in the area.”
“Sea butter Laguna Beach is my go-to for sushi. The fish is always fresh, and the rolls are perfectly crafted. The service is friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Highly recommend for sushi lovers!”
Takeout Restaurants
“I ordered the ramen tofu because there normal ramen was a combination of tonkotsu broth with pork and chicken.
Since I don't eat pork, it had to be the tofu one, which is really sad for me. I was expecting them to add chicken to it, but they couldn't, so I had to order a chicken lolipop on the side, which was actually pretty good.
So if you don't like/eat pork it's gonna be hard for you in there but otherwise the ramen tofu was good but I didn't want to eat tofu because I don’t like it but chicken but like I said I had no choice but to order it.”
“I used to live in Santa Barbara and am a huge fan of Finney’s. Tried Laguna one for the first time.
Service and vibe are very nice but food was bad.
Chicken and waffle taste like precook and coconut shrimp isn’t seasoned. Pizza dough was very dry but taco was excellent.”
“A nice small café with a boutique attached. It felt to me like an original breakfast place with unique menu items.
Your order at the counter where you can also see the daily specials, and then you sit where you want.
The food actually came pretty fast.
The hot chocolate was nice - it wasn’t too thick and didn’t seem over sweet. The foam was actually nice to have!
There is an effort in presentation as you can see from the pictures.
We all liked it. I tried a bit of the swedish pancakes, it is very sweet and heavy as you can expect, but enjoyable!
The Eggs Anna were definitely original with that sauce. It was very interesting. I’m not gonna say it’s the best thing I ever had, but it was good.
It was farmers’ market, but we didn’t struggle to find a place to sit.
For parking, you need to find in the city - but, the place is not far from the main areas, so convenient. You just walk a few blocks.
Overall, a cool spot - we were not sure where to go and wanted a more local place. So, I guess we found it!”
“Holy cow this place is great! Wide variety of drinks, donuts/other sweet treats, and delicious food. Everything is exceptionally affordable, a donut and two coffees for under $7!! Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME PEOPLE??. Definitely recommend the banana mocha blended coffee and the old fashioned donut!”
“This wonderful little restaurant is the gem of South Laguna. if you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop by and try it out! The food is delicious and they offer a wide variety of dishes. I've been going there with my wife for over 20 years and never once had a bad meal. Papa's is also one of the best take outs in Laguna Beach”
“Best sushi locally by far unless you are looking for a super expensive (over $200 per person) and elite experience. Amazing and creative sushi items ($15-20). Some unique and fabulous food creations. Weird and dated vibe but very pleasant and charming if you are not a clean freak. Lots of decorative items are part of a 30+ year experience that makes this place like home. Probably my favorite food experience!”
“Love Neapolitan! Great service. Terrific selection. Our pizza was so tasty - crust and light sauce Yum! The Caprese Buratta was fresh and creamy. Fabulous, decadent dessert options. Very nice wine and beer list. Will return. Definitely recommend.”
“Had a great meal and wine with friends. We did have to ask for olive oil and vinegar after they brought us the wonderful rosemary bread, but hey, no biggie. Otherwise, service was great!!”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“After an 8 mile hike at the nearby El Moro Canyon State loop near Laguna beach, I was craving a peanut butter smoothie. Jan’s was nearby and I was definitely not disappointed! $11 for a smoothie is a lot but it was pretty big and flavorful. Nothing bad to say, worth a visit if you are in the area!
Parking: You can park at the Sherwin-Williams directly across from Jan’s but is 30 minutes only. I would eat and just watch the car.”
“This place offers delicious, fresh food that is quickly prepared, healthy, and affordable. The staff is incredibly nice as well. I would love to see a location open in New York! It would be a fantastic addition to the city. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a great dining experience.”

Cheap Eats
“We were visiting Laguna over the weekend and stopped by Rye Goods on Saturday, and then couldn't not come back again Sunday. All of their offerings are SO GOOD. I had the morning sugar latte, iced, with oatmilk, and it was one of the easiest lattes to drink. It wasn't overly sugary, as the name might indicate, and the oatmilk didn't have a strong presence like some brands tend to do. Super easy drinker. We also had a burrito, avocado toast, and a handful of pastries. The avo toast was hearty and the bread was super soft and meant for this type of meal. We came around 8-9am both days and didn't have a problem with lines, seating or service. Those working were super personable and helpful. I wish I lived here so I could go to this place more often.”
“We searched high & low for a bakery to cater our wedding in Laguna Beach. Unfortunately we didn’t hear back from other companies, even those who were recommended to us through our venue. But, from the initial phone conversation with the staff at The B8kery , to our wedding day, the service, communication, & follow through have been amazing!! Lia & Madison helped us customize a Dessert Bar and wedding cake that fit our personal taste and wedding aesthetic. We received lots of compliments on all of the pastries from our guests! The cookies, brownies, strawberries, & red velvet cake were some of the best we’ve ever had!!! The morning of the wedding, my Dad & Husband bought a cinnamon roll & muffins for breakfast too, and said they were the best they’ve ever had! We recommend The B8kery 1000/1000 and can’t wait to come back to town and stock up on all of their goodies!!!”
“LOVEE THIS PLACE!!! the service was amazing and food was delicious. I ordered the enchilada with veggies and my bf got the mani mahi burrito, absolutely delicious. the employee working there at the time was very kind and helpful. this place has such a nice welcoming attitude. the mahi mani fish was amazing, fully cooked and flavorful.
Vegetarian options: You can change a lot of the dishes to vegetarian”
“Food was delicious and service was fast. Only outdoor seating and walk up window to order. Perfect spot to grab a bite before the pageant of the masters about 10 minute walk from there! Steak Street Tacos beans and rice were excellent. A little disappointed they had run out of the jerk chicken. We will have to go back to try it!”
“I just got back from Hennessy‘s and enjoyed their six dollar Smashburger really it’s hard to believe they’re selling this for six dollars because I don’t think you could’ve got a better burger for any amount of money!
I think that’s only on Thursdays, but they have a lot of specials going on. It’s a great place to visit friendly servers live music six dollar double bacon cheeseburgers with fries amazing you can’t even get a happy meal and McDonald’s for that these days
🍻 cheers”

“The atmosphere is a wonderful and relaxing change from the high tech look of too many restaurants today. It's softly lit and comforting. The food is excellent. The branzino was cooked perfectly, the side dish of french lentils was a treat and the apple pie delicious. It's a treasure.”
“Very long wait times. Terrible customer service and overall, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. The waiter messed up our order and argued with my wife about how he did not mess up the order and continued to argue with my wife, which further upset me and my parents. I asked the waiter to leave and requested to speak with the manager. I had explained everything to the manager and told the manager that because the food came out wrong and the waiter argued with my wife, that it was time to go because the waiter ruined our meal and our experience. After paying for 3 meals that we did not eat, the restaurant manager was extremely rude, told us to leave, and to never come back. We left very angry and upset. This restaurant ruined our entire afternoon. I do not recommend this restaurant because of the terrible customer service. If you make a mistake, own it, and make it right. Not the case here, they just want your money and send you on your way as fast as possible. If you’re looking for a nice dining experience there are far better options than this place.”

“Las Brisas, I can only say that the environment here is really beautiful. It is really a magical restaurant. The food is surprisingly delicious and Mexican-style. It is right next to Lagunasand. It is very convenient. This restaurant has an excellent viewing location. 🫧, you don’t need to be outdoors, you can still see Haihe and the mountains in the distance at a glance when you are indoors by the window, the sun is shining slantingly, and the palm trees on the beach are swaying gently in the breeze🏝️ . The restaurant is right on the seaside and the overall atmosphere is very romantic. 🌷It is really wonderful to enjoy the beautiful scenery and delicious food at the same time.”

“I have been going to this hotel since the 1980s. It’s the best. My husband and I spent three new years eves there. We usually stay a week. Love it. I’ll be so happy when the rooms are available again. I can hardly wait. Love everything about it. The food is delicious. The patio is very enjoyable. And just a few steps to the beach. Love it. Thank you. I’m. Beverly. Anderson.”
“Pizza was very authentic to my trip in Italy. Made me have a little bit of nostalgia which was touching 🥲 I got the Margarita pizza with crispy thinly sliced prosciutto. It was amazing. Staff is low-key and is very attentive in the way they know what to do and when. Thank you chefs and servers, really special experience.”
