“I really wanted to like this place, because the food was really good. A girlfriend of mine and my 9 year old son visited here on Tuesday around 4pm. We walked in, we're immediately greeted and sat in a comfy booth, noticing the very unique artwork and decor. Pros: The Cadillac Margaritas on the rocks were very good. Ordered to start the guacamole and chips, was very tasty. We shared the Main Lobster Puerto Nuevo Style, the cook level was on point, and the seasonings were delicious. Now we were told it's 2 lbs of meat, which was definitely not the case. The cost for how much meat, I would say, is not worth the price at $95 an order. My son had grilled chicken tacos that he said were good. And we all appreciated the little churro ice cream dessert I received for a special birthday surprise. Cons: On a 1-10 level of volume, the music was at a 9, for 4pm on a Tuesday, it felt like they were trying to turn the place into a dayclub. Just seemed unnecessary to have it that loud. We could barely hear each other across the table. After sitting a while listening to the music, I would absolutely never bring my son back here. A couple of songs passed as we sat, where every other word was N$gg@#, F@$k, or other explicit words. Some may not agree, but I'm only 38 and find that highly inappropriate for a restaurant. Now, if that's the ambiance you want to have in your restaurant, no argument, however, then make it a 18 and up place or post something stating children may not be the best audience for your restaurant. We even made a comment to our waiter, and he just smiled and said, "Ya, there's a lot of songs like that we play!" and walked off. Our service was definitely less than stellar with him, let me tell you. As we walked in, we stated it was our first time. Anytime we asked a question, before we could finish our question, we were cut off and met with a very dismissive, hasty response as he would be walking away as well. It felt as if we were offending him or he just had more important things to do. Their menu is very confusing, as we were trying to figure out the taco pricing (since it was Taco Tuesday). The service from our waiter, I would say, was a 1 of 10. He was not friendly (even though he smiled) his demeanor was uninviting and sometimes condescending. In the end, thankfully, we had another young lady who was taking care of us. She was very sweet and pleasant as we commented on our concerns she stated she would let the manager know. In understanding, it's not her fault, we would've told our waiter. However, he disappeared after we received our food. All in all, this place has good food, but it is not good enough for us to spend almost $200 for horrible and condescending service.”

“Our favorite local sushi spot they have the best sushi deals!! We always order the tempura ice cream and the Mailbu Roll is our #1 favorite along with the Ichiban roll and the fried rice roll which we just tried for the first time. Yummy I already want to go back.”

The service is always excellent, the staff is always friendly and checks on you frequently for refill your drinks which is a plus especially if you order spicy. The Pad Thai and Masamun Curry is my go to here.”

“As usual, El Unico never disappoints. My husband is diabetic, and has to watch his carbs. They offered to make him a carnitas burrito in a bowl, basically the burrito minus the tortilla. We brought it home, and he used the carb friendly ones, and the El Unico fix was complete! The burritos ? a gigantic, you definitely get your money's worth. My husband has been getting food from here since the original gentleman started this place, when it was just barely a shack. I started 35 years ago, and it was barely much more than that. The food, the atmosphere, and everything else that makes a place magical, still exists here, in this place. Now, I bring my adult son, and his friends, as well. Thanks, from my family to yours, for continuing with the impeccable service, food, and family feeling that was started so many, many years ago.”

“My family and I have been coming here for almost a year. It’s always a pleasant experience every time we come. The kids love their cookies and cream with boba, their Melon tea, honey black tea with strawberry popping boba, their Nutella dessert egg puff and the Hawaiian shaved ice with all the toppings. The environment is always clean, peaceful and friendly. They have televisions there to keep the kids occupied while waiting patiently for our drinks and food every time. The staff always interacts with the kids which I think is nice and keeps it friendly. We are regulars and recommend this place to all our friends and family. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Alright, first, real talk, the chicken hard tacos are fire, I recommend popping em in the microwave for 50 secs and GG, melts the cheese perfectly and they're just hot enough to not burn the hell out of your mouth, but you wanna eat em right after or they'll obviously get soggy from the oil and fall apart. I can't speak for their other food though, all I can say is the other location can't make Mexican food for s*** other than tacos, but I don't know if it's the same case here I'd be scared to chance it tbh lol. Now this may be false because I haven't eaten at both locations side by side on the same day, but the chicken here did seem to be more fresh and moist and that's surprising considering I got there just before closing so it had to have been sitting there all day and the worst of their scraps and I couldn't tell, so credit due.

Second, two reasons to come to this location over their other one. 1.) it's open later. 2.) customer service is nicer, I don't mean like they were especially friendly or anything just that the chick who takes orders at the other location is a b****.”

“My family and friends love Douglas burger it is our go to place when friends and out of town family members come to visit we also have fiends with street rods we used it once a month for our cruise nights. They have a very nice variety of foods and generous portions one order Is usually enough for two people I have lived here 33 years it seems like it has always been here I highly recommend them”

“I have not been to El Apollo Loco for years but decided to tonight. After my experience, I had to pull over after I literally just left to write a review. I don’t know the workers name but the lady who helped me at the drive thru window was the most kind, happy and cheerful worker I’ve ever seen. She was very positive and upbeat, and just had a way about her that made you feel welcome and you can tell it was her genuine energy. “I went in on a Saturday at 12:20pm and ordered a protein donut and a slice of protein cheesecake. I originally tried to order 4 donuts, but the guy working l said they only had one left. He recommends calling ahead of time to place an order since the donuts typically sell out within an hour of opening.The donut was good! Definitely not like a regular donut, so don't go in expecting the same thing. For me, it had a good amount of sweetness, and it was warm which was nice. The cheesecake was good too! The sweetness of the crust balanced the rest of the slice. The consistency was a little more like gelatin, but still tasted great. I'll definitely be back to try more items!”

“This one is for their newer location in Menifee CA. Painful wait, no heads or tails. Even the assigned number they issue has zero sense, as numbers called jump up and down. Let’s say one consumer is issue the number #350 at time of arrival. Numbers called while waiting for the lucky number varied as they are called: 169! 422! 269! etc. Heavy wait waiting for the lucky number: 45 minutes, and in my lucky case 55 minutes. Wether ordering online or in person, there will be people who arrived much later yet they get their food faster. A crew of about 12 lemmings, I mean staff appearing busy but the pace is painfully slow. What can one do but wait. Perhaps Taco Tuesday was a little more challenging. Food ordered: Carne Asada Tacos, Carnitas, Chicken, and Shrimp at $2.89 each. Favorable aspects: Presentation, well served amount wise, nice place, order was accurate, salsas not too shabby (red, green, and the viciously hot ? orange). Not so favorable: all meats for some reason seemed to taste the same, except for the shrimp. Greasy to a certain degree. To repeat the long and almost agonizing wait I would have to drink several cold beers which would make a safe return somewhat hazardous ⚠️ so I pass. For the number of personnel on duty, it should move faster. Perhaps they secretly believe it is worth the wait, but in our case it was not spectacular by a wide margin. Almost $30 for a 3.5 Stars at best.”

“I came across this gem one afternoon as I was heading back home. I was greeted by the cashier named Yvonne and she recommended me the Hawaiian BBQ mix. It came with rice, macaroni salad, BBQ chicken, BBQ beef, and short ribs! The portion is massive (I usually eat a lot and I almost couldn't finish it).

Once I am done with the food, the chef named Mr. Ho asked if I find the taste good. I just showed him the empty plate that I devoured.

There are a variety of drinks ( I definitely recommend the Hawaiian Sun selections that sits on the counter. Any flavor is fine because it can't go wrong with the brand.

I will definitely be back for more food.

Parking: A lot of spot since it shares a building with Lowe's and other major food franchise like Starbucks.

Kid-friendliness: There are gumballs, sticker, and other kid toy machine to entertain them.”

“I've gone here for years for tacos and the occasional tamale, always great service, most often great meats (I'm not partial to the cartilage you can get from home style real Mexican taco places, but i understand it's not as crazy to them, no disrespect) . This time i ordered to go, I got a Carne asada, a carnitas and Pollo taco. They're usually pretty good but this time they outdid themselves in a real way with all 3 meats. Regret only throwing my change in the tip jar so much that I decided to finally write them a review. Haven't tried the rest of the food, but I'd absolutely recommend for what have!
