“Absolutely loved this spot. It’s a Mexican street-food place but with a gourmet twist — everything tastes fresh, different, and seriously delicious. The owner is super nice and makes you feel comfortable the moment you sit down. The music and vibe are just right, especially if you’re stopping by after riding your motorcycle or driving through Little Tujunga canyon.

“My wife got me my dinner from this Panda Express location. I been to the plaza this store is in before and parking can be tough to find in the evening. I asked for the plate with chow Mein, kung pao chicken and orange chicken.

The portion size is always not the best at any Panda location. You don't get that much chow Mein and the entree will vary depending who is serving you. My food was delicious though, the chow Mein is always amazing. I loved the orange chicken and kung pao chicken from here.”

“Backbone was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. I started with the tuna tartare, which was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and had an amazing balance of flavors and textures. From there, I had the corn agnolotti, which was easily one of the highlights of the night. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the delicate, flavorful sauce complemented the sweetness of the corn beautifully.

For my main course, I had the steak and fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor, while the fries were crispy and seriously addictive. Everything on the plate worked perfectly together.

I finished with key lime and scoop of coconut sorbet, which was just as impressive and the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted every bit as good as it looked.

What made the experience even better were the people. Every employee I interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The chef was also incredibly nice and personable, which added such a special touch to the evening. You can tell there’s real passion behind what they’re doing, both in the kitchen and in the way they treat their guests.

The attention to detail at Backbone really stood out to me. The atmosphere was stylish and inviting, the service was exceptional, and the entire meal flowed perfectly from one course to the next.

Backbone is absolutely a restaurant I’ll be coming back to. From the tuna tartare and corn agnolotti to the steak, dessert, and amazing hospitality, the entire experience was outstanding. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while and an easy five stars. Highly recommend!”

Every roll I tried was prepared with such care. I particularly loved the vibrant colors of the sushi, especially the beautiful orange slices of lemon resting right on top of the rolls. Everything tasted just as good as it looked.

“I love Freddo. Their coffee and ice cream are fantastic (I love all of their Dulce de Leche flavors). Their empanadas, medialunas, and alfajores are great too. The people working there is nice and friendly. There is a nice patio in the back too. Parking can be tricky but you can always find a spot if you move away from Ventura. It’s open late too, so if you are looking for a espresso in the evening, this may be just the place for you”
