“Must try if you are looking for delicious authentic birria. It's a cute-humble family owned establishment that serves very tasty dishes. My favorite was the consomé with tacos dorados. I do wish they had a spicier red sauce but overall was great. It hit the spot on a Sunday afternoon. I especially liked the fact I could dine-in instead of the typical food truck. I can't wait to come back and try more items. Thank you familia Castro.“

“Very good salsa selection, which generally correlates to pretty good food (as in this case). Had the Roadside Burrito with fish and it was excellent. Family had the the hot chicken tacos, chicken jalisco tacos, and fish and shrimp tacos. All were very well received. I'd definitely check this place out if I were in the area. Miles better than anything near Universal.“

“Stopped by to get some late tacos. Pleasantly greeted by a very nice family, father, mother, sons and their daughter. Not only are they a very charming family, the food is great. So far I tried, Tacos de asada, al pastor and cabeza. Mulitas de asada, al pastor, vampiro de asada and a vampiro in a mulita de asada. I will definitely stop by again to try more items from their menu. They've gained a new customer.“

“We have been coming here for a couple months now and It has never disappointed! The chicken is soo good! I also get the Piña which is yummy. They were pretty busy this evening but the wait still wasn't long. The super sweet lady who's name i didn't get (blonde steaks in hair) offered us chips and salsa while we waited which was so nice. The best part is that everything is so reasonably priced! Love this place“
“4+ Considered one of the best by many or at least one of the most popular taco spots in Los Angeles. They have a good variety of items and meats, but I would say they are most known for their al pastor (marinated, spit-roasted pork that is usually served with a slice/ chunk of pineapple). The service here is pretty efficient since they have to be - there's almost always a line. The vibe: depending on the time of day or night you come, it's usually a mixed group of people wanting to try this spot, people eating after a drinking session, or just people looking for decently priced tacos. One of the times I was here, I was standing behind Dante Basco (Rufio!), haha. Usually a fun vibe for sure. My usual here is two tacos (typically the al pastor) and a mulita. It used to be that there was a toppings and salsa bar where you would dress up your food. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or people taking advantage and taking too much stuff home, you now have to go to a separate window to ask for the toppings and salsa and they're individually packaged. I definitely think this place is worth going for the al pastor. I myself have been here multiple times. Parking can be tough, but if you are going during the week there's usually parking along the street facing south on LA Brea right around the corner. Just be careful though as it is a relatively high traffic area and some people seem to drive recklessly in this area.“

“The food here is unmatched. The best tacos and salsa around by far. The service? Not super amazing, but it made for a more intentional dining experience, and I don't mind that. Truly though, the steak tacos set a new bar for me. Amazing work in the kitchen. Great cocktails too!“

“This is the go to taco spot. I been coming here for a while now and they never disappoint. I tried their Carne asada tacos, asada quesadillas and asada burrito. The way they season the Carne asada is delicious and the red sauce that they give is the perfect combination. They now accept credit card but they charge a small fee if you use that. You can still pay cash or zelle if you don't want to use your credit card. The staff are very friendly and the guy working as the cashier is awesome. My wife also loves their food as well.Parking: They are on Balboa and Nordhoff, more toward the back of Burger kings so there parking spots there.Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly but they are near the main street of Nordhoff so just keep an eye on them.“

“I’ve been looking for a delicious torta for a long time and I finally found the place! If you like fresh delicious food this is the place. The service is excellent, they answered all my questions and explained their menu. I created my own sandwich with some recommendations from Johnathan who was awesome. This is by far the best torta I’ve ever had! It was so good I was back a couple days later for another! Wifey ordered tacos and they were amazing as well. The flavor and freshness of the meat is what sets them apart. No old meat being served here. Definitely my go to spot for delicious fresh food!“

“Hands down best burrito(American style) in the valley. The soup is a hidden gem as well, I would say it is one of the best things on the menu, no matter what you get atleast get it on the side. Owner is also very nice, polite and professional to everyone. This place is small but he made sure that everyone was taken care of personally and had everything they needed and keeps the place running on a tight ship. Worth a try no matter what.“

“Tacos are delicious. Love the options they have. I will suggest getting the sampler order to see which tacos you like the most. All their tacos are really good, but my favorite is chicharron, bistek en salsa roja, calabacitas, and chile relleno. The agua fresca de melon is really good, too. Don't forget to request salsa on the side. It is really good and spicy.“

“LOOOOOOOVE this truck!!! Srsly the best tacos around, can't recommend enough. If I could go there every day and give it 10 stars I would. It's such a treat, those tacos are stuffed full of meat and the chips are fantastic. Super friendly people, and perfectly placed outside of NoBar“

“The food was tasty although the protein portions were small and overpriced for the value- 4 stars. However, my 5 stars is for Lawrence. He provided great service with a genuinely happy attitude. “Found this on a search, the food off the truck was off the chain. From tacos with guacamole plus everything else to vampiro the taste was delicious & authentic. As we drove up we witnessed customers eating on their vehicles, so when in Rome do as the Romans. I haven’t eaten on a car since my teenage years, and there I stood at 60 being the old wild one of the bunch. Excellent food, a must try for both residents & travelers!!!“

“After ordering here a few times I think the cooks need to learn that Mexican food is not soggy and wet. I don’t think I’ve ordered one thing from this place that didn’t fall apart on first pick up whether it tacos quesadilla burrito doesn’t matter, but I have to say the taste is good and the portion is good.“

I don't know ... whenever I eat here it takes me back to Maui with the really chill vibe.“
“After Universal Studios we wanted to eat some tacos. We found this place. It was late and we where a group of 10. There was no room indoors since there's only booths inside so we sat outside in the patio area. The waitress was quick on bringing the outdoor heater to warm us up. We ordered tacos and a cup with corn on the cob. The food was authentic and tasted like it should :)“

“Hands down! The best tacos I have ever had! The tortillas are hand made and in all the multiple times I order their asada, there is no gristle! The tacos are filled with tender meat which packs a ton of flavor, not to mention the condiments are just as delicious! Also, try their al pastor and burritos!“
“This will be the third time we have used Nana's Kitchen. So clearly, we love what they do. The food is fantastic, a step up from your normal taco caterer, and we loved the passed appetizers while the guests were arriving. They set up a beautiful buffet spread and used gorgeous bowls. Everything was fresh and delicous. They homemade the tortillas and served delicious guacomole, again homemade. The servers were ontime, self sufficant and cleaned up after themselves. They boxed up all of the leftovers for us which was really nice. The only negative I could find, and you just need to know, is that beyond the food/catering fee (minimum of $650 for 40 people) they charge a travel fee, a convenience fee to use a credit card, and a 18% service fee which is NOT gratuity. So ontop of the food, you will need to expect to pay about 40 % more on the charges (your own tip to the servers, their 18% service fee and travel fee and of course tax). They are transparent about it, but something you should know. With that being said, I would still use them again.“

“Birria tacos at the best.#1 for me in LA for birria tacos.Because it's so good better just put simple ingredients (onion, cilantro, spicy chili salsa for consome if you like spicy) and enjoy the flavor of real birria consome. Real deal. Fish tacos were very nice as well. Everything is really fresh.“

“The bread was ok. I only came here for the bread because I wanted to make a tamale sandwich with a bread ??. I would of fried it but I couldn't. I love eating a crispy fried tamale but most or almost all places do not do it or sell it. I do not know if I am the only one that does this. But i like eating my tamales in a bread as a sandwich fried and crispy. The bread here was good. The bread was a little bit small. I have bought bread in other places and they are a bit bigger.“

“This is a good-enough burger joint with reasonable prices to make it worth patronizing. It's one of those "burger shack" places that has sit-down tables inside, but you order at a counter instead of there being waitpeople. But they will bring your food to your table instead of calling a number and making you walk over to get it. It's also one of those places that is staffed by Hispanics and serves Mexican food as well as American fast food. The workers were nice, especially the lady who brought my food to me. I ordered a burger combo plus a side, so I could try both their fries and their onion rings. The best thing was the onion rings. The batter was thick enough that the entire ring was coated with crust, and the crust was crispy. Most important, they weren't greasy at all. They were really good. 2nd-best were the fries; I'm not sure whether they were hand-cut (probably not), but among frozen fries, they were still good. The burger was decent enough; the meat was not poor grade, but wasn't up to the higher level of Fatburger or Five Guys or Shake Shack. They would have to raise their prices if they used a higher grade of beef, but I think they should consider doing so, because they would get a lot more customers who might otherwise eat at one of those other places. One unfortunate little drawback is the chairs that go with the tables; they're that odd metal type that have the weird narrow back-construct that cuts into your rear-end or the back part of your thighs, so they're not comfortable to sit in. They should replace those uncomfortable metal chairs with something that's much more comfortable. That would make people want to stay longer and want to come back more. This place is good enough, but it could be even better.“

“I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and wow it was delicious! The staff member at the front was so kind and explained the menu options to me since it was my first time. I Ordered the fish and shrimp tacos as well as chips and guacamole. I could tell just by the delicious tortilla chips how great this place was about to be. The food was delicious, both tacos did not disappoint with so many amazing toppings and sauces..this is a one of a kind spot and I enjoyed it! Go try it and enjoy!!“
“With taco trucks being all the rage this is one that you need to visit. The Birria Tacos here are bar none the best that I've had. Don't get me started with their other offerings of burritos, here. They are big full of flavor and well worth the price. The quesadillas are my next favorite, but believe me everything here is good.Parking: The only thing about the parking here is that there's just a few spots around the truck that are available so it's going to be a walk if you have to park right on the street. If not, the business that is right in front has a big lot where you could just sit there and eat your food after you get it just make sure it's on the weekend. I'm pretty sure they're not too happy if you're parking there during the week.“

“Food is good but it gets boring with that dry ole rice on every plate for a side ?. And yall aint fooling nobody with that mushy white farm fish, promoting it as branzino! ? The fish fry batter gives a nice crunchy crispy texture but it's doing too much. Brussel sprouts are fantastic but too expensive. Average cost ends up being close to 30 dollars if you get a drink and premium side. That's Cheesecake Factory prices, without the Cheesecake factory fullness you get from a meal. Overall, I really enjoy the restaurant. The grilled jumbo shrimp is slapping and so is the grilled salmon, well done. They gotta stop playing games with the rockfish. Is it on the menu or not!? (Question and exclamation point intended). The kaleslaw ain't slawin'. Baybee, it be dry and got zero flavor. I mean, if you wanna just chew like a grazing farm animal, just say that! Recommendations are Grilled jumbo shrimp, Grilled salmon, Brussel sprouts, cajun seasoning, strawberry lemonade or any of the premium juices, all the extra condiments.“

“If you want a quick, cheap, no grills and delicious, street style taco fix on this side of the border in NoHo, Sandy's is your place. Buche, cabeza, tripas, al pastor, you name it, they probably have it. I usually get those three and it sets me back $15 for 7 tacos. They are not that big so depending on your appetite, you might need more. I usually eat that in 2 servings. Oh btw, "cash" only!“

“I love tacos when the tortillas are freshly made. This spot was good. Our friends brought here, our drive is 45 minutes. It was worth the drive. Tortillas were delicious, the tacos are very hefty, they're not stingy with their meats at all, The only thing, as I read on other people's reviews here, it would be nice if we could serve the salsas our selves. And yes we felt rushed as well, but I guess the demand is high and there was a big line. I will definitely come back again.“

“Poncho's has to be my and my family's favorite taco spot currently in the San Fernando Valley area. If you still haven't tried their tacos then you've been missing out. Currently I'm probably ordering via Uber eats on a regular basis. I highly recommend quesotsco beef birria tacos, quesotsco al pastor and of course you can't go wrong with the regular street tacos asada, Al pastor and even birria. I forgot to mention how flavorful the consome is and of course their salsa verde & red sauce are a must too! I pair all my queso tacos with all 3 ( consome, salsa verde and red salsa)“
“I had not had tacos like this since i was a little girl in Baja California Norte, Mexico. (Not to age myself but this was over 20+ years ago. If you want an authentic norteño taco that's juicy, yummy, and fresh as hell this is the place! Hand made corn tortillas are bomb - made to order. The king taco here is the alpastor but you can't go wrong regardless your protein. Every meat is seasoned correct. The service here is friendly fast and caring. “I was in the area late in the evening and went on Yelp to see if there was a place open late that had tacos. Luckily, Tacos Palacios was open. I made my way down to check it out. The taco truck was parked at a gas station and had 2 picnic tables for dining. It was really cold outside. The owner, who was nice and polite, was working and helped take my food order. They have a big menu. I saw that they had tacos with handmade tortillas, so I definitely ordered two tacos with handmade tortillas, one with chicken and one with carne asada. Both tacos were delicious. They have a good spicy green salsa. I was still a bit hungry, so I ordered a burrito de al pastor. The meat was flavorful. I didn't realize that the burrito came with fries, but they were inside the burrito. They tasted good. It was my first time having fries in a burrito. The prices were higher than you would expect for 3 items ($22.50), but I think it has to do with the location. I will stop by again when I am in the area.“

“We tried the location in Santa Clarita after bowling. I did know there was a location close to us. We were excited to try and see if we had the same experience. The restaurant was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was out pretty fast. The tacos de asada were great. Especially with the salsa. The birria quesadilla was full of meat the consomé was full of flavor. The Guanato fries were both delicious. I had mine with everything. My son opted to put the salsa as he went. The al pastor and chorizo did taste a lot like clove which I'm not a huge fan of. That wasn't the case at the Santa Clarita location. Other than that, pretty solid food.“

“I wanted to surprise my husband with something yummy from his favorite place (Lichi's Mex) but I can't drive and I had already walked 2 miles by the time I realized I didn't have my wallet! Fortunately, I had about $9 in cash in my pocket... So, I went into Lichi's and asked what I could get for $9 and the girl working there was SO NICE I almost cried (it's been a very hard week - we had a death in the family yesterday, among other things) and she helped me maximize my spending money so that I was able to get my husband a great -BIG- meal.I totally get why Lichi's Mex is his fave :) The atmosphere, the food, the portions, the prices, and -especially- the people are all excellent.Thank you for making a terrible week a little more bearable, Lichi's Mex.
