They have a good variety of items and meats, but I would say they are most known for their al pastor (marinated, spit-roasted pork that is usually served with a slice/ chunk of pineapple). The service here is pretty efficient since they have to be - there's almost always a line. The vibe: depending on the time of day or night you come, it's usually a mixed group of people wanting to try this spot, people eating after a drinking session, or just people looking for decently priced tacos. One of the times I was here, I was standing behind Dante Basco (Rufio!), haha. Usually a fun vibe for sure. My usual here is two tacos (typically the al pastor) and a mulita. It used to be that there was a toppings and salsa bar where you would dress up your food. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or people taking advantage and taking too much stuff home, you now have to go to a separate window to ask for the toppings and salsa and they're individually packaged. I definitely think this place is worth going for the al pastor. I myself have been here multiple times. Parking can be tough, but if you are going during the week there's usually parking along the street facing south on LA Brea right around the corner. Just be careful though as it is a relatively high traffic area and some people seem to drive recklessly in this area.“

All 3 are in the SGV, and I'm SO glad to have tried them! El Pastorcito Taco II is outside of the Arcadia Park off Santa Anita Ave & just south of Huntington Drive. Based on the name, Al Pastor is their specialty, so naturally I picked out the Al Pastor taco! With a smokey flavor, onions & cilantro and a nicely sliced piece of pineapple topping the taco, it was worth the $2.50 it cost, and was rich in taste! Staff here were friendly, though it wasn't a super busy weekday evening. No seating here, which is totally fine, and it is by a big parking lot, so plan ahead to eat in your car, especially since you want to eat it hot & fresh! No worries though, everything comes on a Styrofoam tray, works great! A decent variety of other items on their menu as well - definitely a go-to when I want to get some legit al pastor tacos!“

The owner told us not to worry and to order what we wanted and that we could come back and pay him tomorrow which is unheard of. We felt bad so told him not to worry and stuck to our original order. If you come here the must is the carnitas tacos. Duh, simply the meat very tender and not fatty and the portions are big. I had two tacos and you can definitely make 4 with them and double it. The winner on the other hand I would say is the mafita. Pure hot cheesy mixed meat goodness. It's a giant carnitas taco with mixed meat with cheese. The papas preparadas were the best out of the three items we ordered.“

I tried 4 items from this truck Plantain Crepe: Hands down my top favorite from all them... the cream cheese, the sweetness of the plantain, its just a perfect combination that you will want more or it just the perfect amount of fulfillment Tiramisu Crepe: I would say this is my second favorite. If you like coffee or a fan of tiramisu... then you would definetly like this one, nice and rich. Plus the crepe is made out of a different batch than the rest of them. This one is a coffee flavored. Kiwi Crepe: Don't really care for Kiwi but for some reason its good on a crepe and wasn't as bad Mini Pancakes: Nice and fluffy pancakes and of course the banana, strawberries and nutella is what makes them irresistible YES! “I was there around 2p on a rainy day after a Home Depot run. And they have a small menu that consisted mainly of seafood. I ordered a campechana chica and 1 taco de birria. The campechana was $13 or $13.50 and the taco was $2 or $2.50 (I paid a total of $15.50 for both). Both people inside the truck were very friendly and patient. The birria taco had 2 tortillas and delicious meat inside. It was a good size. The inside tortilla was soggy and falling apart but the exterior tortilla was super crunchy on one side and softer on the other one, giving it the perfect crunch. It was so yummylicious that I didn't even put salsa on it (a first for me). The campechana was a good size for a small, and decent taste, and they added imitation crab (jaiba) which not many campechanas I've had do. And since I'm not a fan, it was a bit of a bummer. Decent amount of shrimp, but wish it had more pulpo & veggies; it's understandable for the price though. It also came accompany with both tostadas and saltine crackers and 2 type of salsas. If I'm ever in the area, I'll order the shrimp cocktail instead and more of those birria tacos that have been living rent-free in my head since a few days ago. ?Parking: There's free street parking“
