“Fantastic. An excellent Greek style restaurant. Our waiter was exceptional, he explained the food really well, and his wine knowledge was amazing. I would recommend the crispy zucchini cakes and Saghanaki (pan fried cheese) and the calamari was very tender. For entrees there are 3 whole fish options baked 2 different ways, and my bream oven baked was perfect. The wine options were huge and at reasonable prices. I would go back again.“

“Myself and 3 coworkers were in town for a work conference and we decided to ensure we try local restaurants. Frascati was absolutely fabulous. The food was extremely delicious the atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant is right on the cable car route and that gave it an extra special touch. The service was fantastic. By far one of the best restaurants I have ever been too. Thank you Rebecca and Jon, if I make my way back to San Francisco I will definitely be back!“

“Located in the Presidio, Dalida has THE BEST pita bread ever! Trust me, you'll want to order an extra to enjoy with the hummus that comes with the dish "breaking bread". Dalida expertly cooks their lamb, I highly recommend ordering the lamb shoulder. Another dish that I also enjoyed was the octopus, which is plated artfully. One dish that didn't meet my expectations was the chicken. I was hard to cut and wasn't cooked throughly. Our waitress was super gracious and took the chicken back and had the kitchen fire up a new one, which was also just meh. Give this place a try, I'd just not order the chicken. Parking is fairly easy and there's outdoor dining for those rare non freezing cold SF days.“

“Loved my meal. The server said our soup was a butternut squash with leeks, but it was spicy and tasted more like tomato than butternut squash. But the Fattoush was excellent, and we both loved that. Our server was perfect in every other way - just the right amount of attentive. Our hostess was so wonderful, as always. I love going to Insalata's as the staff always makes me feel so welcome.“

“My taste buds have never experienced such a gastronomic delight as they did at Barcha Mediterranean Restaurant! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. Every dish that was served brought us closer to food heaven, making every second we spent there an unforgettable experience. To kick off our culinary journey, we indulged in the mouth-watering Moroccan Cigars - a flavor explosion of lamb, mushrooms, gruyère, and cinnamon, paired with a tantalizing tamarind-mint chutney. And let's not forget the Barcha Spreads - a magnificent medley of baba ghanoush, labneh, muhammara, hummus, and bazlama that danced on our tongues. For our main courses, the Persian Tahdig was the true star of the show, with its crispy saffron rice, duck leg, onions, barberries, fried egg, harissa yogurt, and herbs. The combination of crispy rice, juicy duck, and crispy onions was a symphony of flavors that left us weak in the knees. And the lamb shank leg with couscous was an absolute knockout, with tender meat that simply melted in our mouths. As if that wasn't enough, we were served the divine Affogato - vanilla soft serve, and espresso, were delicious, and the Chocolate Cake was a sweet ending that left us wanting more.Although the lighting kept adjusting during our time there dim to bright and keep going from our stayed from 6 pm - to 8 pm, it was hard on our eyes. All in all, Barcha Mediterranean Restaurant offers more than just a meal - it is a journey through the Mediterranean region's culinary delights. Every dish served was a masterpiece, and the warm welcome made us feel like we were part of the family.“

“My friend and I had the BEST time here Saturday night!!! The service was amazing and everyone helping us was incredibly friendly and kind. Our servers went out of their way to make us feel special and were so much fun to interact with. They even came running out of the restaurant after us to give me my phone that I had left on the table by accident! Highly recommend - great atmosphere, delicious eats, fabulous time!“

“We love going to Terzo-it never disappoints. Atmosphere is good-lighting excellent with a nice buzz to the room. Our server we've had multiple times and the continuity in staff says a lot . We split the arugula salad/grilled asparagus /meatballs on polenta and split a main entree the Greek chicken -with the exception of the aspragus which was pedestrian everything else was terrific-highlights were the meatballs/polenta and the Greek chicken—there's always something new on the wines by the glass list -had the Chianti Classico and the Timorasso-server was terrific as usual-we'll be back-“

“What a vibe. This classic spot has been here since the 70s serving up top notch Mediterranean food with a focus on Armenian. The food is fresh, exciting, local and flavorful.Have classic Mediterranean food or try some less popular, under the radar Mediterranean dishes.Definitely worth giving it a try.The salmon kebab is SO GOOD.“

“Great experience with Greek-inspired bowls. The meats in a salad bowl keeps things "light".This location can get pretty crowded and the chairs can be difficult to pull in/out. Squeezing between chairs can be tricky.Neighborhood was fun and felt safe here (early evening).“

“Highly recommend!!During a road trip, our visit to Sumac became one of the highlights of the entire journey.I really enjoyed the meal. I highly recommend the meatball wrap and the meze flight. The mezes were just amazing. Worth trying, specifically Hummus, Baba Ganoush and Muhammara, definitely a real Mediterranean experience. The banana pudding is a must-try delight.Super kind staff, clean and great service.Thumbs up!“

“Top neighborhood gem… owner/ chef makes healthy fresh Salmon, lamb and chicken Mediterranean dinners with organic veggies and farro or rice… served in a cozy, not overly fancy spot with white tablecloths and a good wine list. Affordable! Best bargain in North Beach. Have the tiramisu for dessert!!“

“Get the semi-sweet cookie if you can! It's almost as good if not better than Crumbles. Perfectly crunch on the outside and chewy and melty on the inside. I devoured the cookie before I even got to the wrap. The owner is super sweet too! Will be coming back to this place!“

“Came here for my daughter's 21st birthday. They brought the wrong dish out for her meal without us even complaining they left the plate, brought out what she originally ordered, and comped both the wrong meal her original meal and our desserts. Tiramisu and espressos were on point.“

“March 2023: This gem of a place is still here, post pandemic (if there is such a thing), and their service and food is top notch! Please drop by and show some love, chicken salad comes with a lot of protein and is fairly priced for the area.Old review: I had a hunkering for Mediterranean-style cooked meat and fries. This place hit that spot.Located in FIDI on Battery (between Pine and Battery/Bush intersection). Went at noon and the place was busy but not overwhelmingly so. Slight wait for my food after ordering but that's expected at noon.Food was good and reasonably priced. Ordered the Greek plate with chicken. Came with a bunch of fries, meat, a big dollop of tzhiki (sp?) sauce and some pita bread. It was good.I'll be back to try a salad next time. 3.6 stars that rounds up to 4 stars for the service.“

“Used to go here every 1-2 months when I worked nearby. Always got the lunch special with the free soda. I preferred the chicken shawarma and fries (sometimes a salad). I miss this place so much (no longer live in Cali) but will go again next time I visit.“

“A wonderful experience at Kientz Hall! We hosted baby shower in the beautiful Atrium space this past weekend. Everything was perfect. Our mostly out of town guests were impressed with the beautiful space, the delicious food and drink, and the gracious service from the Kientz Hall team. My husband and I enjoyed showing off what our beloved San Anselmo has to offer!Thank you Linda, Samantha, Elaina, and Fernando for a wonderful afternoon with friends and family!“

“I've been looking at this place for a while and finally decided to give it a try. I tried a beef/lamb shawarma platter. My food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient. Not sure, but it may also be family owned and run. Which I love supporting. This does not have a "first date" ambience. But, that's ok because it's more like the place you and your sweetie or friends will want to make your "regular go to and take home and snuggle on couch together or hang out at the dinner table" place. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the minimal seating area and "ambience." If I could rate 4.5 I would. But, I'm definitely going back. Yummy.“

“Super good selection of Mediterranean and Moroccan dishes. Zatar, lapneh, merguez at all sorts of things that are hard to find. Great selection of wines including wines from Morocco. “David, our server, provided an amazing experience with menu explanation to food and drink suggestions. He and his team kept our drinks full and the food coming. The atmosphere is super lively with refreshing decor. Love the beautiful blue mosaic and stone walls. We (table for 2) were sat at the same time as three larger parties (6-10). David made us feel as though we were his only table tho, he managed all of us at the same time... maybe superman's cousin? We enjoyed 'Ready 4 Anything', Brussel Sprouts, Butterleaf Salad, Charcuterie, Duck Confitt, Flan and their signature Espresso Gelato. Lucky us, resturant week! Would recommend this location found on the third floor above the Embarcadero and conveniently located to the Hyatt Regency. Go and Enjoy!!“

“Living in the Sierra foothills, I don't get much opportunity for Mediterranean food so was craving it this SF evening. When I walked into NB Gyros, I smelled that unmistakable but unfortettable aroma of grilled meat so I ordered their grill sampler. I also ordered an appetizer of baba ganoush and a cold Stella Artois. The baba ganoush arrived quickly and I devoured it. I'm no expert but this was so delicious and I wanted more. Next, the grilled sampler came and I was amazed at how much food was included. There were two varieties of chicken, beef, kofte, and lamb, rice, salad and pita. All the meats were flavorful and had that delicious char I was looking for. The chicken was a little overcooked and dry but still delicious. I couldn't finish this big platter so was offered a take-away box, which I gladly accepted.I know I'll return because the service was fast and friendly, the atmosphere was open and welcoming and the food was delicious!“

“Gosh, I absolutely LOVE Sajj. It is so quick, perfect when you're in a rush, but still want something yummy and healthy. Think mediterranean-style Chipotle. I love the chicken shawafel or pomegranate chicken bowl. Every single topping on there is a perfect fit. I usually get all the spreads and can't choose a favorite. You can't go wrong with the toppings, but I usually add the sumac cauliflower, onions, cucumbers, cherry peppers, arugula, and mint leaves, finished off with either the spicy tahini or cilantro mint chutney. I know some people love the lentil soup. The baklava is so flaky and nutty. Most of the locations I've been to are clean and nicely decorated. The staff is helpful and pack on the toppings on your bowl. I absolutely LOVE Sajj, I even have a loyalty/newsletter (which I almost never do). Definitely recommend.“

“Valentine's Day dinner with bae. So we made reservations at Bagatella we still had a wait even though we got there prior to our reservations. It was packed and. Due to it being another cold wet night in SF outside seating wasn't an option for most. So we ended up finally being seated in the back booth lucky us cause in the front it's a bit tight on the seatings especially on the left side. I'm not going complain. Like I said we got a booth our server was Great pleasant and inviting. For V day they had prefix menu We got the heirloom tomatoes and crab cakes. The crab cakes were perfectly crispy on the outsides and delicious and moist on the inside. The heirloom tomatoes and the fresh mozzarella drizzled with the balsamic we also both enjoyed the lightness and freshness of the dish. For our main course we both picked the lamb shank on a bed of risotto. The lamb was fork tender already deboned in a delicious sauce reduction. The risotto was definitely the star of this dish though creamy seasoned buttery and al dente. For dessert we chose the bread pudding and key lime pie. The custard filling on the key like was velvety smooth sweet and tart all at the same time. The bread pudding wasn't your typical bread pudding. It tasted more like cake then just bread and topping it off with that vanilla ice cream was a great job. Overall we both enjoyed our experience here. The lemon drop martini yes yes“

“If you accept up front that this is NOT a restaurant, it is a ghost kitchen, it doesn't get much better than GastrobotEats. They "are" Sumac SF (Medditeranean), Saucy Salads, and Soupchu ... so you can mix and match across three menus. We went with the mezze platter from Sumac SF (five vegetarian options) with meatballs and chicken. The pita is awesome, everything was fresh and warm, and the service at pickup was great. Note that it is on a busy street-corner, there is no obvious spot to park, but pickup was quick and painless. The food was great, and we'll be back for pickup. UberEats and GrubHub drivers were all over the place, but our food was ready exactly when they said it would be.Vegetarian options: Not just vegetarian, but gluten-free options. If you don't want pita, you can get vegetable sticks. They put the meats on salads or rice for GF folks, and most dishes are vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free options for many dishes.“

“This is a fairly unique restaurant: behind the Chinatown gate, you climb up a steep staircase, and emerge into a tiny and narrow restaurant that feels like it used to be an apartment. The prices are fairly high and the portion sizes are so-so (give us more bread, rice, and fries at least!) but it’s a great comfort to find a friendly, homey space in the city, and that’s certified kosher. I generally order appetizers to save some money: you can do well with the hummus and falafel and skip the more expensive meat dishes. Do not expect to feel stuffed afterward but to feel reasonably satisfied.“

“Now seeming to operate as a quick stop for ready to go food. I must say I can’t believe this place doesn’t have more reviews. Literally sitting across the busy Ghirardelli Square right on N point street, I came with low expectations and left warm hearted by Hadich’s amazing service. The food is reasonably priced, my pizza was tasty and can say it was much better than other pricey popular places around sf. My colleagues come here for the burgers, combos and soups. So I will for sure be trying those next time!Totally worth your buck ??“

“We had a fabulous night here last night! This place is a bit removed from the overpriced part of Sausalito with million dollar views that caters to tourists. I have no issue with those places - the food is quite good, but this place gave us an elevated experience. The manager (wish I had asked his name) was charming. He was our server. We had a delicious watermelon salad, a prosciutto pinsa, a whole branzino, and a nice bottle of wine. We ended our night with a dessert I could eat every day: the dark chocolate gelato with shredded halvah (and other stuff that I can't remember). Utter perfection. The vibe is cozy and nice inside. We will definitely be back! Thanks for the muscat!“
“Boulettes Pizza Bar is a hidden gem in San Francisco. The restaurant is located in the Ferry Building Marketplace, and it offers a delicious selection of pizzas, pastas, and salads. The pizzas are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and they are cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven. The olive oil is also excellent, and it is used to great effect in the dishes. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. One of the best things about Boulettes Pizza Bar is the Lola sempre Margarita pizza. This pizza is made with fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and basil, and it is topped with a drizzle of olive oil. The pizza is cooked to perfection, and the flavors are simply incredible. The crust is thin and crispy, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. This is one of the best pizzas I have ever had, and I highly recommend it. Another great thing about Boulettes Pizza Bar is the location. The restaurant is located in the Ferry Building Marketplace, which is a beautiful and historic building. The marketplace is also home to a variety of other restaurants, shops, and attractions, so there is always something to do before or after your meal. One of the only downsides to Boulettes Pizza Bar is that it can be a bit busy. The restaurant is popular, and it can be difficult to get a table during peak hours. However, the wait is usually worth it, as the food is so good. Overall, I highly recommend Boulettes Pizza Bar. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. If you are looking for a great pizza in San Francisco, this is the place to go. “My friend Goose ordered one of these Falafel Wrap for me. He was so confident I would like it and he was right. I loved it. And all this time I've been getting the pizza. I'm getting the Falafel Wrap for now on. This fine late night establishment has been a staple for my friends and I for years. The staff keep the place pretty clean. And on numerous occasions I've seen them just give out free food to the homeless. Either they are the only ones in SF that still have simpathy for the homeless or it is the easiest way to get them out the door, the way they handle it is honorable. Trust me, order the Falafel Wrap with Fries and get the 4 stars experience.“
