“Love El Amigo! There are a few locations around the South Bay. This one is a little snack just under the 405. A few tables for indoor seating and a few additional outside in a shaded outdoor area. The tacos are a staple in the workday lunch rotation, and the fellas working the register are always fast and efficient. Food comes out very quickly even for giant taco orders. Chips and salsa (has a decent heat) come with the meal! The parking lot is very small and the neighborhood parking is a bit tight, but there are street spots if you're willing to walk a block or so.“

El Chorizo Meat Market Mexican • $
15020 Hawthorne Blvd H, Lawndale

“Had the opportunity to try this place with a friend. We bought food to go from their hot deli counter. We ordered 2 asada tacos, a quesadilla with carnitas combo and a carnitas burrito. This place piles on the meat regardless of what you order. The meats are full of flavor and very lean, leaner than any Mexican eatery I know. The tacos are made with two soft tortillas each. You can barely fold them with the amount of meat inside. The burrito has meat, rice, and beans, no cheese. This burrito weighed about a pound and a half. The quesadilla used the same large tortilla as the burrito. It was stuffed with meat and cheese. We asked for all the condiments on the side not knowing the level of spiciness. The total for all this food was under $30. I couldn't get pictures as we were so excited to start eating. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.“

Tacos El Banquetazo Mexican •
16801 Prairie Ave, Lawndale

“I would recommend the suadero and carne asada. The carne asada is grilled over an open flame, much better than most brick and mortar stores. Tortillas are home made, made right as you order. They open around 5 PM and usually go past midnight. No cash? They take Venmo and Zelle.“

“My family and I were looking for a restaurant that was serving food after 9 PM. We ended up here, and I had some of the best birria tacos I've ever had! We took the food to go, so I can't speak on the service. But the Mexican food here is very good.“
