“Excellent food truck carnitas.... They use Gabriel's tortillas, so you know they care about the quality of their food. The tacos surtidos were exactly as they should be...a nice spicy salsa to accompany the moist pork... With a hint of lime to cut through it all... Bravo! Location isn't exactly family friendly... But bonus if you like the locals only dive bar scene.“
“Belinda's was at the celebration for Walter Munk Day at Kellogg Park in La Jolla yesterday. Their food appeared to be very popular. So, I decided to try the bean and Cheese burrito. Wow! I loved it. Warm comfort food was so satisfying.“
“I've been going to Mariscos MI Gusto Es for over 10 years! Everything on their menu is Delicious. My personal favorites are the tacos de Gobenandor, Marlin Tacos and their Cockteles de Campechana..It's family owned and operated❤️Arturo and his wife are super friendly and always greet you with a smile?“
“Local food truck doing it right! This place is a gem. Been there about 7 or 8 times and it's always a good time. Usually get the fish tacos or the birria ramen, and take it.next.door to the Whistle Stop to have a beer while I'm eating. All the locals in South Park love this place and it's for good reason.“
“Every Friday, our community does a food truck Friday and we've honestly never gone. Most times, I google the food truck and the reviews aren't great, so we figure it isn't worth it. But this was the first time I saw an all 5 star spot, so we had to give it a try. Their menu was concise with three options: burrito bowl, burrito and tacos. They had four meat options: barbacoa, cochinita, asada and pollo. I decided to get the cochinita burrito and my husband ordered the barbacoa, but the burritos accidentally got swapped and we ate each others. They were both good, but the cochinita was definitely the winner! I'm not usually someone who will eat beans, but I loved the ones they used in this burrirto. They were peruanos and were super soft and tender. I really loved the spicy salsa that it came with. It had a nice kick that was super fun! I really hope La Burre makes it back to our community because their food was delicious!“
“I am not a vegan, but I don’t eat red meat. Every now and then I really crave a burger! Their burger was soooooo delicious and juicy and the pretzel bun was a huge plus. I also had their jalapeño corn dog and which was tasty but HUUGE so I recommend sharing! The animal style fries there were also a large portion and SOOO good I’ve been thinking about them since! Don’t sleep on this food truck, they’re amazing!!!!!!“
“Amazing mexican seafood!! Deliciosos mariscos!!We went to the location that is showed on Google but a guy told us they moved to the AutoZone parking lot and was worth it go and check it out!New location / nueva ubicación:- 2211 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92102Visiting from Florida and it was a delicious seafood, generous portions and great prices!!Visitando de Florida y comida muy rica, las porciones muy generosas y los precios justos!“
“Ordered the Wet Birria Tacos with everything on it and despite the sizes of them being small (see lime for scale), they pack a punch for flavor so get extra! The service was speedy, and they were super gracious with explaining how they work. Their being Zabiha halal (view their instagram) is a great way for everyone to eat and I can't wait to see what else they do with their food.“
“Chef Budda Blasian Soul Food came to our office for lunch. They were extremely responsive & were happy to work with my organization's extra security policies. On the day of the event, staff was super friendly & the food was DELICIOUS. While they offered lunch portions, most of our employees opted to get the full dinner meal& some even came back out to get another meal for dinner. Personally, I had the combo wings, tenders, mac & cheese, & rice & gravy and everything was AMAZING! The food was cooked fresh & the chicken was crispy on the outside but SO juicy on the inside. When I was eating it at my desk, the smell alone had my coworkers peeking into my cubicle to see what I was eating. If you haven't tried them yet, I highly suggest you do! We will absolutely be asking them to come back in the future.“
“Ordered the fish tacos, huge tacos, absolutely delicious with everything on it. Also ordered the shrimp quesadilla...huge portion, also delicious great flavors. I'm giving it 4 stars because the salsas were horrible. They are placed where the sun hits and so it smelled a bit sour, not fresh or good for my liking. I asked for fresh refrigerated salsa n got the same watered-down habanero salsa. I tried it because i need the spiciness but honestly it just made my tortilla soggy n messy. Please work on your salsas and i will change from a 4 to a 5 star review. I will be back in a couple weeks.“
“OMG!!! If you like churros, you have to try this truck! The amount of ice cream, whipped cream and churros…yum delicious scrumptious oooooh so goodness!!! First time I’ve been here and I ate it so fast I didn’t take a d@mn picture LOL HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! follow them for locations! “
“Best Lumpia in town! Must Try! Spencer does an amazing job merging a family staple with new & tasty creations. The Lola's lumpia, Calamansi wings, pancit and peach cobbler lumpia (Wow!) were all 5 stars. Can't wait to come back for dinner.“
“The Quesabirria & consume is FANTASTIC, and it was $4 cheaper than other places. The reviews did not lie about how flavorful the food is. Best taco truck meal I’ve ever had & I’ve had nothing but good experiences at food trucks.“
“First time at Kikos, I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed!! I took recommendations from them on what to order. The OG fish Taco is very good and the Chingon burrito with chipotle sauce is ??!! Spicy shrimp Taco was also pretty good!!“
“I would say hole in the wall but it's a food truck in a Liquor store parking lot and it's a pretty good spot. Fusion sushi rolls were pretty good tasting but a little pricey and a little small. They were cut into real small pieces like 16 pieces so easily shareable. The chicken fried rice is pretty tasty as well, a good filler with plenty of chicken. This One man operation-took order, cooked, bagged up and everything Friendly and as fast and efficient as could be. Tables to sit at and liquor store to pick up drinks, definitely could be on the rotation for sushi nights.“
“Oh my goodness... It is not fair that I didn't have money to buy more. This was legitimately the best taco I've ever had. I want another one! Or three! Or maybe five! I definitely want more. I gotta make sure to hold on to $21 for their combo next week.“
“Adorable spot tucked into a small part of lot.Owner came out and helped us with the menu; hand delivered folks’ food even with a pick up window; and owner even tossed in a small side of fries for the pup.Hidden walkable gem in north park/city heights cusp. Owner clearly loves what he does and cares for his customers; genuine smile the whole time we were there.Service: efficientFood: outstandingVibe: chillOwner: legendHotel: trivago“
“Can't say enough about this place. I was there with my family for our first trip to San Diego and was welcomed and overwhelmed by the amazing staff. From the manager to the waiters and the bartenders everyone was pleasant and so welcoming. We ate there three times in the four days we were there. One dinner, one brunch and one lunch. One day I had to do a work call and the manager was so accommodating showing me different locations I can sit. Thank you to all the amazing people at The Henry!“
“Wanted to try out their tacos because I will be hosting a bridal shower for my daughter in June. Wasn’t able to try the carne asada as they were currently out. Tried the chicken, pork and shrimp. Very good. Sauces also good. The homemade chips were excellent! Definitely in the running.“
“Family run sushi a-la-mexicana!! Food truck sets up Friday-Sunday and offers extensive menu of Japanese and Chinese favorites, including delicious sushi rolls. My Alaskan Roll hit the spot. You can also call and order ahead of time. Will definitely be back to try their other plates and rolls!“
“Best Taco Tuesday spot in town. The prices, the quality, and the consistency are all on another level compared to any other taco truck or taqueria in the area. Emphasis on the consistency. They. Don't. Miss. Everybody else, even if I love them with all my heart, I've had a bad experience or two that I had to overlook. A time where they were overwhelmed, or just didn't have their heart in it that day. Not here. Never. And with the number of times I've come back, that's not a coincidence. I miss when they were here on Fridays as well, but still make a point to come get tacos every Tuesday that I can take the time to drive down from my office for lunch.Parking: I mean, if the secret gets out about how good they are, you might see parking become a bit of a hassle. But for now it's not a problem at all.“
“Was looking to grab some quick takeout mexican and came across this spot right off the 163 and gennesse. Its a food truck semi permanently parked on the American legion parking lot on the corner. Menu is limited, even more so when they told me thier fryer was down. So I ordered 2 tacos and the quesadilla. Total with tax and tip was $20. This better be some dam goood birria for that price. Took a seat while waiting for my food, they have a few bar tops with high chairs scattered under a pop up awning as well as a 2 tables with 4 chairs set up. Not too long later they brought out my food telling me that the hot sauce was also in there. Got home and opened up the bag and was immediately disappointed in the portion sizes. Even the hot sauce they included was underwhelming. It was first time I had gotten hot sauce in baggies like I was buying some drugs. Reminded me of baggies of crack you see on tv and in movies being sold o the streets. Pretty funny until you realize this is no where near enough sauce for a meal. I first tried the taco, with the red hot sauce. The taco was good, good tasting birria and fresh onions and cilantro, and a nice tasting tortilla. The hot sauce didn't even last a single taco. Up next is the quesadilla. This was the highlight of my meal. Cheesy meaty goodness, this was worth the $10 price tag. Plenty of cheese, plenty of meat, great flavor. Overall good food but the portion size is a little off for the price. Definitely ask for more hot sauce. 2 dime bags isn't enough.“
“WOW, incredible pozole! Bought the 32ounce "to go" from the little Italy farmers market today and it's now officially on the roster of our standard purchases. The soup was deeply flavorful and included fresh options for toppings (cabbage, radish, jalapeño, oregano etc). 12/10!“
“I am not going to lie but those Birria quesa-tacos and the consomé uff hit on the spot ???????????????? best birria!!! The service is perfect, they treat you really well, This my new to go spot when I am craving birria 10/10.Parking: Is next to a store so. He has a lot a parking. You will not struggle for parking“
“I hired Taco Love to cater my wedding in February and would happily look forward to hiring them again for any future event. Consider this a glowing review, and a recommendation to hire them for your events! Guests are still raving about how great the food was ... many of them were so taken by the appetizers that they didn't even realize a dinner course was still to come! After being super disappointed with the attitude and racist comments from a *different* caterer that had been highly recommended to us, we found Randy and Taco Love and it was a perfect fit! From the first phone call, we knew we were on the right track for our event. He was always kind, very laid-back (something that vibed really well with my personality, but something to note if you want things super formal and in writing right away), and very accommodating to the unique needs and vision of our event and venue space. He would always tell us "it is your wedding ... you let me know what you want and we will make it happen!" We used some of his serving dishes, and some of our own. At our tasting, he made sure we had one of each thing on his menu and it all tasted so great! The meat and veggie options were very delicious, and the salsas were incredibly flavorful. From there, the process was very smooth. There was no limit on the menu, he allowed us to choose from everything they make on the truck. The price was reasonable, and he even added a dessert option only two weeks out from the wedding! Our guests LOVED the churros and ice cream. He was right on time for our wedding, and from what we could tell everything ran so smoothly! We had plenty of food for our guest count of 130. My only regret, is that as the bride and groom we were so chaotic that day we didn't get to eat as much as we wanted to! We are already planning a time to catch his truck when we are back in town so we make up for that! Thank you, Randy! We look forward to eating your food again hopefully soon!“
“Such good food! I had the pleasure of sampling some food from their food truck when they were parked outside of Thorn Brewery. I got the Anto Jito Box for $30 and it comfortably fed me and three of my friends. They were also nice enough to switch out the mofongo with the sweet plantains when we asked. Everything it it was great! The pork skewers were delicious. My favorite was the tripleta fries which came with three kinds of meat. A delight for carnivores! Would definitely go back.“
“I'm not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews. I tried them once when they were located at Target and I remember it being good. I just recently ordered from them again at their new location and it was so fire. Can't say for the other dishes, but the grilled fish/regular fish tacos hit the spot always!!!! So good. Get the chipotle sauce and add the extras on the side of the truck.“
“FIRE CARNITAS! The carne asada burrito was amazing too. I def need to come back for a carnitas burrito though. The chef gave me a carnitas taco while waiting for my carne burritos, and literally made me want to change my mind. But, Ill have to come back and get it next time...“
“Tacos are delicious here. We catered from them for our reception and the guests said wonderful things about their tacos. Very fresh and good quality. The owner is responsive and the workers were friendly as well. I’m so happy that I found them. I’ll definitely cater from them again.“
“ABSOLUTELY LOVED!!!!! i went with my family looking for some good mexican seafood we came upon this food truck and WOW it was beyond our expectations, everything is very flavorful and FRESHLY MADE TOSTADAS. everything is made to order, by far the BEST mexican seafood ive ever had.“
“It is a different concept from the food truck because it has tables with shade and covers in case it is windy so you can enjoy your food in a very pleasant way with a very affordable price and a really wide variety of dishes, mainly seafood, although they also sell meat and Birria, which is a typical Mexican dish, prices range from $3.50 to seafood dishes of more than $80 for several people. The shrimp burrito is very tasty and I highly recommend it, and the staff is very friendly.“
“I love the Pizza Trolley! The food is consistently great and it doesn't take long at all to come out. The owner Chapman, and his team, are always super friendly, personable, and accommodating. Seriously, the food and the service are both wonderful. And the pizza trolley looks cool. A welcome spin from a regular food truck. Highly recommend!“
“Best in that region. Great price. Plenty of parking. Welcome to Mexico. Enjoy!!!Vegetarian options: Professional cooks. Who cook it , the way you like it. Beans and rice dishes are extremely good.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: ADA Approved“
“Only place I like to get tacos. Great flavor and best salsa you'll find. There is no other place I've been able to find that has the same quality. They also opened up a small little bakery inside and an area you can sit. I have yet to try the pastries. But I can tell you the tacos are the best.“
“Legitimately the best food I’ve had in San Diego in a minute. Perfect tacos that balance acidity, spiciness, fat and salt. Everything on the menu is delicious, and there is a patio in the back of the parking lot to enjoy it all. Can’t recommend higher.“
“I decided to try this on a Saturday to fill my mariscos crave and was totally blown away! The food on the menu was way above my expectation, it’s like getting restaurant quality at the convenience of a food truck. Best bang for your buck. Even the area to eat was shaded with turf and a TV for entertainment. The line was a bit long but they got my food out relatively quick. 10/10 recommend this place… it’s a sleeper ?“
“Been here a couple of times , started following them on instagram and decided to try em out, sushi is really good and their menu has gotten a little more extensive and they now offer more variety , the service is really good and food is always fresh , make sure you try out the jalapeño poppers you won't regret it“
“Love this truck! They were at Casa Mira View for the Foodie Feast that they have every Monday and Wednesday. I ordered the Black Widow Sushi Burrito based on Javier's suggestion and it was delicious! Their service was great too. I was treated with smiles and a warm welcome. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu.“
“Badas Burgers was invited to our PTSA Fall Event (October 2023) Truck arrived on time, food and service was good during event.Badas Burgers was invited to our Fall Event and agreed to donate after the event to our school's PTSA. Sadly, Nick (owner) was contacted SEVERAL times requesting the donation he promised, but as of now, he has not replied nor made his promised donation.“
“These are REAL Tijuana-style flautas! Always ask what they put on top :) the lettuce, crema and salsa de tomate are authentic! If you're a fan of real Mexican flautas, this is the spot hit up in the south bay!The young man serving is super nice and polite, I'd rate their service 10/10. ... get the 5 flautas order, they're tasty but a little on the small side. Most likely will be back tomorrow haha :)Good eatin' everyone!“
“Wagyu beef and the chicken were really tender and melted in your mouth! Prices are a little steep for a food truck. I had a few items to share: wagyu beef and chicken plate was really good and delicious rice! The lemon cream chop fries were great the first half of the portion, I think I got over with the lemon taste after that, but the breaded chicken on top was great.I also tried the Greek wrap. I felt like it was soggy and had "too much going on outside the wrap" for my taste.Overall, I've had this place twice in a week, I would go again, but I feel that Guy F. From food network really helped put it on the map.“
“I ordered Cowgirl fries and I'd say it's surprisingly good! I liked the flavor combination of fried crispy chicken with applewood bacon and fries. I don't usually eat jalapeño in my food cause I see them as 'decorations', but these ones actually gave a nice balance to fried chicken. Fried chickens were not dry nor burnt which I liked as well. By far the best food truck I tried among many my community managers had invited.Anyway, I didn't get to try their shakes this time but I'm down to get their food next time if I see them around UTC area. If you guys have any regular spots let me know.PS: well about the kiosk, I actually liked it better than ordering at windows. Sometimes I feel awkward to take time looking at the menu while people in the truck are waiting for me to order. No thoughts on the pricing tho.“
“Best hidden gem in Lakeside (or wherever it is)!!! This little truck has the very best grilled shrimp burritos and fish tacos EVER. We have lived in East County for over 25 years and sampled every grilled shrimp burrito and fish taco in a 15 mile radius. Promise- you will not be disappointed. We just had a party of 20 people who mostly just ordered the grilled shrimp burrito (ordered the day before) and they all loved it. It's a big burrito, so we always cut it in half and eat the other half for lunch.... And it's good COLD like a sandwich the next day. Sounds weird but it's literally just as good cold. We also got about 4 shrimp ceviche to share around. That’s good too. Oh and don't forget the chipotle mayo and green sauce! It is our Friday night regular stop on the way home after a busy week.Ambiance is just a parking lot but the little Hispanic market there also has the best no-name brand tortillla chips and fresh tortillas. So we shop while we wait for our food. So that's why we also line the ambiance!“
“I’m not one to write reviews , but this place definitely deserved one . first taco place I go to where they actually give you pieces of fish in the consome (which is free you can ask for one upon arrival while you wait for your food) also found out they cook with purified water and not straight tap water . food was absolutely delicious will definitely be changing my old go to place to this one .“
“We moved in the neighborhood recently and decided to give this a try. The service was quick and very friendly. The food was even more amazing. We tried the torta and quesabirria and were amazed at the quality. Some of the best in SD. Will definitely come back.“
