“Ok, I am from NY and love pizza. I am not a NYC pizza snob though and welcome all iterations of 'za! I have to say that this pizza is probably the best I have ever had of its type. They are "Roman" slices, meaning focaccia crust. Variety of slice options are insane with creative combinations that are not only imaginative, but insanely delicious. Slices are cooked upon ordering for supreme freshness. I especially like the Lussuria - prosciutto, black pepper, mashed potato, mozzarella and olive oil. (I NEVER thought I would like mashed potato on a slice, but it's insanely good.) The help here is amazing as well. Caesar was working the oven and he gave great suggestions and explained the product well. Very inviting and definitely steered me in the right direction. Need gluten free? They got it! Will make a GF slice for you right on the spot. I challenge anyone to have just one slice. I had to go back for 2 more. Enjoy!“

“If you are looking for a true Italian experience in San Diego, look no further than Vinarius! We worked with Giuseppe (owner) to host our wedding celebration here back in March, 2023. From the beginning, he was amazing to work with. Incredibly positive and accommodating from the start, we couldn’t have asked for more. The wedding ceremony was planned to be outside and of course, it rained that day. Guiseppe and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, allowed us to have the small ceremony inside the restaurant on short notice and made an incredible meal to follow. Our guests were blown away and we couldn’t have been happier. We recommend Vinarius to everyone we know and that is thanks to Giuseppe and his awesome staff. Grazie mille!“

“Came to TNT on the recommendation of a local and holy f*** balls I was blown away. If I had the disposable income I’d buy a private jet and fly to San Diego to eat here once a week and fly home, my carbon foot print would look like a slice of their pizza and I would okay with it cause my belly and soul would be content. “HillCrust Pizza is on a completely different level. I have eaten pizza all over Los Angeles and San Diego, but this place has something special that keeps me coming back. I actually make the drive from Beverly Hills just to eat here, and every time it feels worth it. The quality and consistency are unmatched.

The Loaded Hilly Philly Cheesesteak is my favorite item on the menu. The flavor is outstanding, the portions are generous, and the fact that they use halal grass fed meat makes it even better. It is without question one of the best Philly steaks I have ever had. Their pizzas are just as impressive. The dough is organic and non GMO, soft and airy yet with the perfect bite, and the San Marzano tomato sauce gives it a fresh, authentic taste.

I have tried just about everything here and it has all been excellent. The Golden Hill with Mike’s Hot Honey has the perfect touch of sweetness and spice. The Sunset Cliffs with pickled jalapeños has the kind of flavor that stays with you. Even the Margherita, which is usually simple anywhere else, is fresh and full of flavor here. What stands out most is that no matter what I order it always comes out consistent and delicious.

The atmosphere is another reason I keep coming back. The restaurant is quiet, peaceful, and relaxing, making it the kind of place where you can actually enjoy your food without distractions. The staff is also friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.

HillCrust Pizza is more than just a pizza place. It is a spot that takes quality seriously and delivers every time. For me it has become a destination, and if I am willing to drive from Beverly Hills just to eat here that should tell you how special it really is.“

“Food was amazing! We came in a bit late before closing and Zaw Zaw the owner kindly took us in to take our orders. You can tell he’s passionate about his restaurant as he wanted to find the perfect pizza recommendations for our table :). We tried the New Yorker, pepperoni mascarpone, potato, and the eggplant pizza! The pizza was fresh and the crust was perfect! He even came out to check on our table and converse with us. “Pete’s doesn’t disappoint. Great fast service, incredible flavor and cheap prices for the quality you get. Also, fishing tip… I ordered too much food and we had about half a coney dog left from my nephew (not sure how with how great they tasted but we ate too much) we used it for bait and instantly got hit when the whole group was skunked all day. “The owner is a super cool guy I got to meet him during one of my visits to this place. The pizza is great amazing flavor. The sauce has great flavor. The garlic knots are crispy on the outsized and soft on the inside. I bought a whole pie here for my coworkers and I. They have gone here for lunch now as well.“

“My new Go-To spot for Pizza in San Diego! I'm from out of state and man some of the best thin pizza I've had in years. And best overall pizza I've had lately.

The Owner's are very respectful and amazing service. Tip them big to support them as a local business and not corporate. I ate here 3 days in a row while I was in town. You won't get bloated like from other thick pizza spots since it's not heavy on bread or grease.

They have all kinds of toppings for anybody's personal taste. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed! 😁“

“Not sure about the bad publicity that all seems to come about 5 months ago. I went here over a year ago. Was the best pizza I have had for 30 years. Yeah, I don't get out much. I was peddling my bicycle around and got lost. Was pretty damn hungry when I ordered. This is not a grab and go joint. You are not going to get your order in two minutes like 7-11 where they have a machine that can cook a frozen thing and call it pizza. The crust was greatest. The toppings not packed on like other places that think more stuff means better. I went outside to eat because I was sweaty and gamey. Went back in, gave a second tip and shook the owners hand.“
