Ordered value bowl and did not tip. What I got: dry and overcooked dumplings and tofu. Good thing they have spicy sauce. I asked for parking validation. Ended up paying $6 for less than 2 hour parking. This is what you get for not giving tip on $10 order. Imagine if I gave tip and getting the same food and falsely validating parking ticket. Wow!

Burned food, not really recommendable unless you like taste of charcoal. If I cooked like this I would’ve thrown it away, and I definitely expect better when I pay

Rib eye bowl with veggies and brown rice and the salmon bowl with veggies and brown rice, the rice was extremely dry and chewy. So dry that my friend choked on it and was afraid to eat it. Also, it all seemed a little tasteless.Parking: Parking garage and street parking

I did not eat in, ordered out, but I can say the place was clean. The employees carried themselves in a mannered way.

The food was horrible! I came in about thirty minutes before closing so I think they gave me old food. The salmon was overcooked and the shrimp was undercooked. The only bright spot in this dark tasteless place was the cashiers; she was nice and apologized for the long wait for my food. I will never patronize this location again.

On a hot day after the Midsummer Scream Convention, I was convinced to eat at this place through peer pressure. The inside looked like a bus station kiosk. The staff looked pressed and miserable. Nobody looked happy to be there. It was perhaps 2 degrees cooler than outside. Nothing like lukewarm death to stoke your appetite.I ordered the shrimp bowl for about three extra dollars than the standard $8+ bowl. I figured the quality would rise with the price. I was wrong. The rice was not fluffy, it was like confetti: dry and limp. This is a sin in Asian anything.. Forget "fusion" if you can't even get the Asian right. The shrimp might as well have been boiled with no seasoning. In fact, I'm convinced that's just how it was prepared. It went down like old chewing gum. No sign of the protein touching a grill by the taste. Might as well microwave it. My partner ordered the ribeye with vegetables. The ribeye was ok according to him, but the veggies were inedible. They were raw like in a salad. I tried them myself and spit it back out over the rice he didn't eat and brought it to the counter to complain. Insult to injury, they only offered to cook new vegetables. I simply let them, then threw out the food in contempt. Your meal wasn't satisfying, Sir. You offer a refund or a replacement. I spent $30+ and even pre-tipped. I'll NEVER eat at Waba Grill again based on this experience.

A great place. Not as clean as I would like to see, but not bad enough to lose an overall start.

Located in the Pike Outlet, WaBa grill is a fast serve restaurant specializing in rice bowls. After watching a movie at the cinema, we decided to stop into WaBa Grill for the first time. It's a limited menu, where you pick various meats on top of rice. They also have dumplings and tacos. One places and pays for your order first, then picks up the order on a fast food tray about 5 - 10 minutes later. It is self-serve fountain drinks here, serving Pepsi products. There is limited indoor seating, still far enough apart for past Covid restrictions. We ordered a Waba special Rice Bowl (chicken and steak on choice of brown or white rice). The beef tastes exactly like Korean Bulgogi (it's not steak), and the chicken is teriyaki chicken thighs. The portions were reasonable for $9.69...would probably ask for extra sauce next time. We also ordered a 10 piece dumplings ($6.39)....it is basically Korean mandu (tastes exactly the same as the frozen dumplings you can buy at H-Mart), initially steamed then slightly pan fried (not prepared that well). Both came with a siracha dipping sauce.Reasonable prices, fast service, and OK tasting food makes WaBa a good choice for a quick lunch.

It's our first time eating WaBa Grill for several years. I'm not impressed because both chicken and rice were a little dry. I won't eat WaBa Grill again in any locations.
