The atmosphere at Alfred Coffee ( Melrose pl) is really fun, and the outside of the coffee shop with the overgrown ivy is really nice. The coffee was great, but the person taking our order was rude. He acted stuck up. They don't take cash, apparently. Ive been to this Alfred’s several times and always order the ‘famous’ vanilla latte- but have never tasted any vanilla. They don’t offer ‘for here’ mugs so if you want to sit and study or read or work you are stuck drinking out of plastic. But these aren’t reasons to come and write an average review.
