Today was not a good day for pie. After the disappointment of finding out that Sari Sari closed permanently and took their beloved buko (coconut cream) pie with them, I ordered the banana cream pie at Fat + Flour. 2024 James Beard Awarded Nicole Rucker of Fat + Flour, Outstanding Pastry Chef or Baker therefore I just had to mosey on over to try some baked goods. Of course, I had to feed my inner sugar monster too... Located inside Grand Central Market in DTLA, the general area was bustling with patrons at 2PM on a Saturday. Cute place with delicious pie, we tried the Key Lime Pie and Lemon Meringue Pie.
