Kiitsu is now my favorite sushi spot in Brentwood. The quality of the sushi was excellent and the servers were super friendly and efficient. The ambience is beautiful and intimate here definitely will be back.

The reviews don't lie. This place is amazing. Incredibly fresh and well prepared sushi with impeccable service. Scallop was good enough that I had to order it twice, and the hand rolls were some of the best I've ever had.

This place continues to go through a lot of changes and not for the better. The food was still very good, probably better than before. But the ambience now was horrible. They had the lights on high, felt like we were in the aisle of a supermarket. And they informed us at around 9:15pm that it was the end of any new food orders (we had just sat down at 8:30pm). Meanwhile half the staff is hanging by the sushi bar eating and drinking. The others are placing the chairs on top of the tables all around us and the others still eating there. Even right next to our table, regardless of the fact that we are still eating. Plenty of places in LA to find good sushi and not have such rude treatment and no clue on creating a pleasant atmosphere for customers to enjoy their meal. It had been a long time since we were last there and after this time, won't be going back.

The best sushi in Brentwood California. It is a must try. Highly recommend the crispy rice spicy tuna and wagyu!

Easily one of the best sushi restaurants in LA. I used to go here when it was Ngao many years ago, so I decided to pop in and see what replaced it. I was truly blown away. One of the most upsetting things in LA is how the service industry has just given up on professionalism and hospitality... it was nice to walk in and be greeted by a friendly hostess... this extended beyond just her- the waitress, the chef and the owner were incredibly attentive, warm and welcoming. The food was delectable and the fish was so fresh - nothing tasted fishy, and everything was seasoned to perfection. I'm a total sushi snob, and it's safe to say this is definitely my new go-to spot. Ten out of ten!

There are so many good sushi houses in Los Angeles, especially on the Westside. This place has a limited but okay menu, but is way overpriced for the quality, quantity and overall environment.

The food was really good. Traditional sushi items and some different things too. The sushi bar is very comfortable. Not too close together which is very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We tried Kiitsu for the first time last night. What a find!! The food was incredible, some of the best sushi I have had in a long time. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive waitstaff. Well worth the visit. We can't wait to go again. And again - to what is now our favorite sushi spot in Los Angeles.

3 letters ... WOW! I just had the most incredible dining experience at a sushi joint! The food was seriously mind-blowing - every dish was a burst of flavors and looked like a piece of art. The best quality fish I've ever had in California and even overseas. It's an exclusive little gem in Brentwood that I am so happy I know about! Everything from the most amazing sashimi, sushi, and even fried chicken to the ambience, the customer service, and vibe are 100%. The scallop Nigiri is my favorite:) I don't think there's a better restaurant I could recommend whether it's lunch, dinner, date, or with friends.

We waited 30 minutes to be seated for our reservation and our food took 2 hours, did not receive part of our order - there was clearly a problem with staffing in the kitchen and on the floor, felt terrible for our server and the hostess!

Host made us wait for 15 minutes despite reservation. No apology until we asked for apology. Ended up giving us free beverage. Not special quality food from omakase at the chef bar sitting. Overpriced/ very loud environment. Disappointed

I ordered Kiitsu's lunch special and was very satisfied! Fish tastes fresh, sides were great, and the price was right.

The food, Lionel (their head chef), and the staff here are the absolute best. We came for a special birthday dinner, and this is an intimate sushi spot with a bar that's perfect for a date night. I'd recommend springing for a tasting if you can. They have an incredible array of sake that they'll pair to your desired meal upon request, and the plum sake we tried was the best I've ever had. Beyond that, not only is the food fantastic, and I mean really fantastic--not one course missed--but Lionel is such a great chef with whom you can converse (and I'm awkward beyond reproach, so the fact that he made us feel really comfortable was the best). We tried a little bit of everything--fried tofu, 3 types of sashimi, wagyu, duck, fried chicken, 2 rolls, a rich icecream specially made by a local shop for Kiitsu paired with a matcha sauce, and real, Japanese mochi ice cream--all chosen by Lionel. We couldn't pick a favorite. If you're considering going, just do it!
