The French Toast and Chocolate milkshake was great and our server JONAS was kind. UNFORTUNATELY, The kitchen staff was very off…we specifically ordered a double mushroom burger no cheese and they later sent out the burger with cheese?? Well, when we brought it to Jonas’ attention, and he requested it be fixed (the cook just sort of scraped off a bit of the cheese), and sent the same burger back. Makes sense to visit Mel's if you're a tourist, the vibe is nice but the food isn't that great and it's a bit overpriced. The $24 for deep friend chicken and waffles feels a bit steep for the quality, but the service was good and the atmosphere gives the nostalgia that makes this place popular

I've been to other Mels and enjoyed the food quite a bit, but at this Mels the food was mediocre at best. The salads were mostly lettuce and the pesto melt was dry with very little flavor and very little filling. It may be the historic Mels but I won't come back.
