Went here at 4:30pm on a Saturday to pick up a couple of treats... and unfortunately I don't have good to report. Everything was dry, like it was days old. You can see that all of the moisture is sucked out of the pineapple. The cheesecake had virtually no flavor and was hard. While the carrot cake managed to keep some of its moisture with the frosting, the base was a bit burnt. Perhaps better if fresh, but I won't chance it.

AVOID! - Carrot cake was over-cooked, dry, and the cream cheese layer tastes fake. - Pineapple upsidedown cake - inedible. Dry, lacked flavor, and just gross. - Cheesecake - dry and bland. Crust was the best part of it. I don't feel like any of these items were in sellable condition. I know it was towards the end of the day, but the store is still open for another hour and a half. I cringe thinking of any other unsuspecting customers who are about to spend hard earned dough here for garbage. I am extremely disappointed with this place. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Every time I visit Monterey, I go to the Paris Bakery. The croissants are simply amazing!

The desserts here are delicious! Prices are very fair, considering the quality and everything is baked fresh daily. I love their croissants and baguettes, services always very fast and efficient. Good option if you are looking for something affordable and delicious in the area!

The cookies at this bakery were disappointingly stale, and I noticed a couple of tiny flies in the croissant area. The lady mentioned the cookies aren't made fresh daily, but she assured they're still considered fresh within a week. Unfortunately, my experience with the cookies contradicted this, as they were noticeably stale.

My boyfriend came here and got his mother and I each this amazing cake. I don't know what it is called but it was the perfect cake. I am not one to ever choose a chocolate cake but it was delicious. It was looked like a chocolate ganache, with chocolate mousse cream filling with a hint of Orange Grand Marnier. And the chocolate sponge cake was so moist. I told him I only want this cake for my birthday every year. It is the perfect amount of sweetness and not overly sweet.

I recently visited Paris Bakery during a quick stop in Los Angeles, hoping to enjoy a delightful cake and good customer service. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The grand marnier cake I ordered was a huge disappointment. Despite being labeled as such, there was a lack of any discernible grand marnier flavor, and the overall texture was disappointingly dry. It's evident that the quality of their cakes has taken a substantial hit. Equally disheartening was the customer service. The salesperson, identifiable by dyed blue hair, proved to be unfriendly, rude, and surly. This individual not only failed to enhance my experience but significantly detracted from it. Paris Bakery seems to have declined both in the quality of their products and the level of customer service provided. Based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend their cakes, and I hope they take steps to improve both the culinary offerings and the professionalism of their staff.

Sadly, the special birthday cake I ordered was not fresh at all. The cake/bread was stale. The whipped topping was hard. And it tasted spoiled. The birthday cake writing turned out to be just a plastic sign that ripped half the topping off the cake. Which didn't matter, since the topping didn't taste great either. I spent $50 almost and I wish I would have just gone to Ralph's. The mocha cake was what I ordered and it honestly Ruined the birthday cake portion of the night. Wonderful customer service, just not fresh cake being sold to the customers. It tasted 3-4 days old.

Absolutely the worst cake purchase I have made in years, the service is atrocious. The lady with the dyed blue hair is an absolute nightmare and incredibly rude to deal with. I almost wanted to return the cake. Actually, I should’ve returned the cake because it tasted horrendous, quality and customer service are gone. I do not recommend buying a cake from here, not only did the cake taste terrible, but the customer service was awful.

Customers Service bar is low at this establishment…. Called made a customized cake for pickup, asked for the total, the person couldn’t provide me with a total. I said okay - I asked for a call back so that I could have the total. No one called me back. I called back the next day, spoke so someone who obviously does not have any customer services skills, speaking on the phone very uneducated. I asked for the update on my order and stated my name. After I was asked numerous questions rudely about my order and kept repeating myself, they said that the they don’t make the flavors that I ordered (chocolate/cherry). Like what? Good luck with your business.

This used to be my absolute favorite place to get cake for my and others' birthdays. I went in today and my issue is with the customer service at this time. The girl serving today was completely untrained, and while I understand that one may immediately think it is not her fault, I found that there were lots of things in her control that if she had taken care to attend to would have made her more knowledgeable. She had no clue what any cake was except for the name of it if it even had a label, as I want to say that about 70% of their cakes were not even labeled. Excuses were "I was in the front doing this or that when they decorated this cake in the back, so I have no clue what is inside," or "I am new," or "that one is not labeled so it is hard to say," or "that one came to us like that, it was not made here, so I do not know what that is," or "we put ours in the freezer, but do you want to freeze lightly or very hard, I guess that would be okay." Here are some tips: if someone is decorating a cake in the back, have them tell you what it is since you know you will be working a shift alone and may be asked about what kind of cake it is. If there are no labels on cakes that were not made onsite, call the factory/bakery and ask what was sent so you can tell your customers. So here is the final outcome: I purchased the strawberry roulade, which she pronounced 'roulette', which as far as what it is, is pretty self explanatory, and while for the first time ever did the cream taste a bit old, at least it did not throughout the entire piece I had and only within a few bites. The raspberry chocolate cake is what 'topped the cake' for my experience here today, hence the one star, and that is that she was insistent that the chocolate cake was a raspberry chocolate cake and even specifically told me to get it only if I really love raspberries. I LOVE raspberries - I used to eat them like candy as a kid and teenager when I would visit Europe every year. I am not too fond of chocolate cake myself, but was willing to purchase it since she insisted that this cake had raspberries in it and not just the gelatin on top. Come home and time to celebrate, the chocolate cake is a basic chocolate cake, no different from any other cake at a lower tier bakery, NOT A SINGLE NOTE OF RASPBERRIES, let alone any raspberries inside of the cake. It is a chocolate cake with red jello on top, and you cannot even taste the jello so I have no clue what it was, in fact, supposed to taste like. MAJOR disappointment. This place used to be awesome and today was an epic fail. I also had to box my own cakes because the girl was fumbling with locking up the box to the point that I took it from her and closed it myself in a split second. Maybe care a bit more about your business and stop trying to make money off of what you USED to be - your customers can tell the difference. I guess I will find someone who likes basic chocolate cake you can buy at the frozen food section to give this one away to, and the strawberry 'roulette' will be what will keep me somewhat festive on my birthday.
