This was my first Ethiopian food experience and it was solid! My boyfriend and I ordered The Emperor to share. We were the first one in for lunch and the food did take some time to come out but it was all hot and nicely prepared. I enjoyed how the food was presented and they had plenty of injera to get you full. The injera's slight sourness was not off putting at all and it balanced nicely with the flavors of the platter. I haven't visited Ethiopia yet but this place felt very authentic, from the dish presentation to eating style to decor to the bill. The woman servicing our table was lovely. The food was delicious - I had some of the Vegan platter and the misir wat side. The misir wat was listed as a side but is definitely a solid meal in and of itself. I think this is a great place to do a one and done type of meal. We're not completely familiar with Ethiopian cuisine so take it with a grain of salt. The sharing aspect of the meal is nice, it's a different way to socialize with a bit of alcohol. The emperor platter is a like a mix of a variety of flavors.
