Ok barbecue. The Texas-style brisket was tough and overcooked - it seemed like it was smoked yesterday and reheated before I got it. It wasn't too tasty, either. The baby back ribs - I don't know what style it was, maybe Kansas style - but it was just ok. It'd probably be bland if it wasn't slathered in barbecue sauce. I prefer Texas style, dry-rubbed and smoked spareribs, so I was very disappointed. I wouldn't go back but some less-particular people may like it

I am in North Carolina while writing this, I've been to this place a few times and can now definitely say it's one of the best in the country. I don't know how but it's better than the BBQ here, I've tried multiple places but the brisket at Slab is just so good. I am sure in Texas it's better, but for California it's definitely amazing and I am definitely coming back here to try more of the menu.

I came here with a friend who was really craving ribs and I just came for the sides. You know Mac n Cheese, some potatoes, and whatever else seemed like comfort food from Slab. I was a bit shocked after we paid our bill that it was quite expensive, but I thought this place must be great if they can stay in business charging these type of prices. I was wrong. Unfortunately the quality of the ribs was insulting (loads of gristle low quality meat) and the food lacked flavor. There was nothing “quality” about any of the food. Even the corn bread was dry. Not one thing I tasted was worth another bite. We both left most of our overpriced food on the table. It was so underwhelming and disappointing I vowed to never come back. I almost complained but the vibe of the place wasn’t great and I really don’t think based on the service they would care. I didn’t want to waste my breath or any more of my time. I already wasted my money, they have GOT to know their food is a joke.

If I had the pleasure of giving no stars I would ! This review is NOT based on the food as it is Great and when slab opened on the block I was in there at least 2x a week. However, I didn't pack lunch and decided "let me hop on my desktop" and place an order for lunch. I did so an proceeded to go grab my food Upon arrival, I stated I was picking up my online order I placed gave my name and the employees response was " you might want to show me your confirmation so I 'm sure your not in here to grab someone's food" Mind you I gave my FN and LN and order I placed. I literally had to sit their and attempt my email login to prove that was my order. took me a minute because at this point I held in every Possible negative remark I wanted to give and just swallowed the embarrassment. My body language gave off how angry I was so he proceeded to give my food once he asked for my detail in the order as I stated I did when walking in. walked back to my husband's shop baffled, and shared my experience. I threw my food away and then called Abraham to share my experience. He heard me out and offered everything to ensure satisfaction, but at that point my respect for slab was out the door. mind you, 3 Uber and DD workers were in grabbing orders no once was verification asked. I JUST CANT! this employee definitely should not be apart of the team its definitely a BAD look! Never in the years I've owned a business on 3rd have I ever experienced any unpleasant visits when walking in an establishment. PLEASE fix this issue IMMEDIATELY its not good for business.

No. Nein! Nope! Food is a dismal failure. I spent over 100 dollars there and received undercooked, underseasoned, old, chewy, greasy, fatty meats and pasty, clumpy, underseasoned sides.Ordered the 40 dollar one rib, and it was dripping in fat and artery clogging grease. Some parts were tender, and other parts were chewy. For 40 bucks, I expect high end and quality. This was not it.. Chicken was undercooked and pink in some parts. Brisket burgers were improperly cooked and thrown away as we were afraid of food poisoning and contamination. Look at the pics! Pics can't lie. I threw away 130 plus bucks. Lesson learned.

The baby back ribs and ribs tips were delicious and the side dishes were mac & cheese and BBQ beans it hit the spot however the portion size was terrible and on top of that I was still hungry. It not worth $40 dollars remember this, it's quality and quantity.

The sauce is thin and vinegary. They didn't cut the meat on the loaded fries so it was one big piece and they added onions, which isn't on the ingredient list and it ruined the fries.Overall, it's not worth the very high price tag.

was craving some bbq so decided to try this place. joint is located in some restsaurant building row. interior has some old school vibe. has typcial bbq menu of ribs, sandwiches, sides like corn bread, corn, coleslaw etc. ordered the half rack smoked spareribs, slaw, mac and cheese, and corn bread. total damage $45 bucks. waited 10mins and got the food. also came with a side of marinated red radish and pickles. so my verdict is just so so. the ribs were hot and tender and good smoke flavor but the rub they use seem to have no flavor profle other then salt and no other spices. and thats pretty much the same with the cole slaw, pickles, marinated radish. all i tasted was salt. no lemony acid to help cut through the fat of the meet. but at vegetables had nice crunch. as for the mac and cheese and corn bread. those were tasty. nice flavors. and the worst miss for me was their house bbq sauce. just again it was way too salty. cound hardly taste anything else. first time at a bbq joint where i skipped the bbq sauce after few bites. anyway so onto the next place.

This BBQ was excellent - you have to try the ribs they were some of the best we've ever had. Good choice of BBQ sauces and the sides were really tasty. It's a lot of food and really great value, highly recommend!
