Upon my first trip to LA with my Bourbon conessieur husband, we found this sweet spot on Melrose. They had a very good selection of spirits and the bar keep, I believe his name was Logan, was very mindful and patient with us. We enjoyed the space very much and hope to come back and find long lost friends some day. My parents have the same Olympia beer antique behind their bar at my childhood home. ??️?
A nice little dive, a bit generic but customers seem happy. I didn't have any food but it's probably a better spot for grub and pregame before a Genghis Cohen show than GC itself is.

An institution of Melrose area. Great hang out if you want to get together with friends and don't want to break the bank. We have been coming here for many, many years and it is always a fun experience. This isn't a pretentious place, but they did upgrade the beer selection over the years, they have more craft beers on tap. Food is decent, your regular pub grub, decent burgers that can pair well with a beer. OK service, good place to catch up. Some street parking.
