I love Trejo's Cantina! Both the food and drinks here are so goooood! You can't go wrong with one of the margaritas but they also have a variety of well made and strong drinks. Plus a beer menu, too! Seating is at the bar or booths. There's usually only one or two waiters running around, but service is pretty quick. If you're a fan of Danny Trejo, you'll def love all the merch for sale. One of my friends from out of town bought a shirt and she loved the novelty of all the branded stuff they have. On this last visit, I had a frozen strawberry margarita, which was absolutely delightful. It also kept me from drinking too much because the slush was so thick it took me a while to drink it all, lol! I also had the Spicy Shrimp Bowl. It was smaller than I expected, but actually ended up being plenty of food. The shrimp was really good, but I added a bit more hot sauce because I like it spicier. My husband got the Spicy Shrimp Burrito and fried chicken taco. He saw that there were a bunch of fried chicken items so wanted to try it. It was a good choice. The batter tasted so good and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Really tender. Everything was delicious and we left very satisfied! Oh and avoid the parking lot. It's usually valet and just very limited in general. There's plenty of street parking around.

Our first day in LA and we were so hungry after our 10 hour flight. Trejo’s were open and welcoming at the door. We literally had the best Mexican food we ever had. Service was great too. We’re going back before we’re heading back home.

I attended an event last night that was catered by Trejo’s. What a treat! I have been to the location on Cahuenga before and was impressed. Now I can comment on their catering as well. The food was exceptional! I had a steak and a mushroom taco (I know mushrooms aren’t for everyone) and it was filling, flavorful and warm. Catered food can be difficult because of the timing. The caterer Donna did an excellent job of serving 60 people with ease. It was a relatively small space but she managed beautifully.I recommend Trejo’s for dine in and NOW I can say the take out/catering is just as good!

Ok they get the 4 stars for me Off the jump, the only reason that they get the 4 star is because I got to try more food and the prices haha Ok so let's start with the service They got 5 stars in that for me The help was quick and efficient They explained the menu, the waiter/bartender offered a meal with my tacos He explained a margarita I had a question about Now the food was pretty good, but I've only had the tacos. I have to try more But the shrimp taco was an 8 out of 10 and the fish taco was a 10/10 for sure. The taquitos were 6. They were cooked well and the flavor was solid. But I think it was advertised with avacado but it was this avacado sauce drizzle and not avacado Thier chips and salsa were absolute perfect I'll be greedy and say I want more avacado, but it was super tasty The margarita was perfect. I got the OG and it made me feel something special haha The ambiance was super cool. I'd love to come here in the evening for drinks and tacos. So I'll be back soon and update this place but for now it's almost perfect The prices suck everywhere in my opinion So this place being in Hollywood is the same. I paid $19 for a margarita at 2pm on a Wednesday Some people would call em stupid for that haha But it was a vibe I just know how sustainable it is Those are my thoughts for now And they checked in o

Came here after being recommended by a tour we were on.It was taco Tuesday and I mentioned this to the waitress about how it was good timing. She did not tell us Tuesday taco special were smaller tacos and just gave us the bigger ones, without mentioning it. We also told her how excited we were to be there and she just kinda rolled her eyes and said she is sick of it but just because she works there. Not impressed with her lack of enthusiasm and not fully explaining the difference in the menu. Our bill was higher than we expected and she didn't really care that we were after the special Tuesday tacos.

The nachos were great, but the other 2 meals were pretty basic and unimpressive. Cheese Quesadillo is literally just a smidgen of cheese on a tortilla. The salsa is amazing though.

I'm from Houston Texas and I and my hubby visited Cali this past weekend. It was my hubby bucket list to go visit Trejos Tacos. We happen to find the place by accident as we were on our way to Amoeba Records and some how found Trejo Tacos. My hubby and I literally ran to the restaurant. HE was in heaven. We both loved the tacos (Chicken Thinga and Asada Tacos) my favorite was chicken Thinga it had thin crispy strips of tortilla and it made the taco crunchy yet soft. Tortillas were handmade and authentic Mexican taste. I recommend to everyone in and out of town! 10/10! THANK YOU

Last minute decision to come here as it looked inviting and gave the atmosphere of where we wanted to be and the kind of food we wanted to eat at the moment. Drinks were strong no doubt about it so no complaints there. The chips with pineapple salsa very refreshing, acidic and tasty also loved the the lime zest they sprinkled on the chips. The tacos unfortunately were disappointing, the salmon was extremely dry and overcooked with no real flavor and the shrimp I would have to say the same, rubbery and lacked in seasoning and both tortillas seemed like they had sat out too long and wasn't fresh at all. Now the most memorable thing here was the hot sauce ! That hot sauce I had forgot to ask if they sell them, but wow did it have the such wonderful fresh flavor to it. I had added it to every dish we got and was probably the only thing that made everything just about better. Nothing memorable but for drinks and apps a great place to come.

I had a burrito with the horchata. I must say it was not only delicious, but also filling. The server was also very friendly and accommodating.
