“I was so lucky to get a spontaneous spot here to eat dinner last night. We sat outside in this lovely, warm and cozy space. The food was outstanding! An excellent beet salad to start with, followed by this amazing artichoke appetizer. Best prepared artichoke I've ever had in my life! For my entree I had Bowl of Soul, which was like a fish stew with plenty of prawns and tender pieces of fish that I suspect might have been sea bass or cod? In any case, it was delicious! My dining partner had the Dungeness crab pasta. I had a little taste and I was blown away. If you're looking for some fine dining and an elevated experience, don't hesitate to come to Asa. I'm looking forward to going back!“
“This is the real Italian restaurant in all of San Francisco Bay, very good service by professional and Italian waiters, an excellent menu of real excellent Italian cuisine, a real treat and Italian music.The owner himself came to our table several times, which was very warm and friendly, maintaining a pleasant conversation.It really is a quality restaurant that I highly recommend, as a couple, with family or for an event, I will come back very often.The only point to raise is that it is very noisy, the room has canteen acoustics and lacks warmth on the other side because it is very difficult to hear each other.It's a shame that the enclosed terrace was closed, I think it's more welcoming for a couple's dinner. “What a place! I had never played bocce before but now I’m hooked. The games were fun, the people teaching us were great, and we had a blast.The food was also amazing. We had some pasta, pizza, salad, and desserts for our work event and everything was spot on. The desserts are absolutely the star of the show. I loved the tiramisu but you can’t go wrong with any of their options.I can’t recommend this place enough for work events or just a casual meal (with a highly addictive game to boot).Vegetarian options: We had vegetarian pasta and pizza options available to us.Dietary restrictions: We found a gluten free pizza option.Parking: The parking lot specifically for this place is limited, especially for the work event we put on. There is street parking and other nearby lots, so plan accordingly.“
“Really did enjoy most of our dishes. The lamb shank was delicious. Meat just fell off tje bone. Special pork chop with polenta was also delicious. The gastrique was a bit too sweet but did not ruin the dish for us. Service was fast and efficient. They request your stay is 90 minutes, and we were out well before. It's not very relaxing as your dish is cleared the moment you finish, but would definitely go again for the food!“
“Just stopped in as we were looking at properties and needed to kill sometime. Greta food and good beer selection from the small first sample. The lobster bisque was fantastic and they have pliny the elder on tap. Also, the person running the shop was very friendly and helpful. For the atmosphere, it might not be for everyone, but it is the right feel for me, it is a place for the area and has the laid back feeling I would expect of a mountain community. Will be becoming a regular.“
“A very good Italian restaurant! My wife was craving Italian food, and after consulting Yelp, we decided on Aldo's Cafe. We had a great dinner here enjoying the delicious food. My wife tried the Lasagna ($23), which she found to be great. I was looking for a low-carb option (hard to do in an Italian restaurant). Our waiter recommended Involtini Melanzana (rolled eggplant) from the special menu ($24.50). This delicious dish had several rolls of eggplant around a great filling and covered with a wonderful sauce. (And no carbs!). Vegetables were included. The waiter served fresh grated Parmesan cheese for our entrees. The service was great and staff friendly and helpful. The walls of the restaurant are decorated with large photographs of Italy. We were seated next to one showing rooftops of old buildings that was fascinating to look at all the detail (and to see satellite dishes on top of old rooftops!).“
“What a super cute and quaint place to indulge in good food and good wine! We met the owner, Michele, when he was originally at Tasting House down the street. When you talk to him, his passion for wine totally shines through. We first came a few weeks after the establishment opened, but recently came back to have a full dinner, which I didn’t even know they served until I looked online. OMG, everything was good. And Michele’s recommendations are always so good.I have a feeling when the weather shapes up and it’s warm out, this place is going to be booked solid. It’s a small place but offers a few tables outdoors, weather permitting.Love love love this place and will definitely be back again!Note, there’s lots of parking around the area (on the street and random lots).Also, the photo of the meatballs, there were actually 8-10 but I took photos after we ate more than half.“
