“Comfy, warm taproom with good pies. Service was excellent. Beer selection is nice, they have ciders but also other beer styles which we appreciated. We got the chicken pot pie, veggie empanada, and chocolate mousse and lemon raspberry pie. 10/10 recommend stopping by here!“
“Best clam chowder . It was steaming hot , not warm like most restaurants. . Very good food everything we had was great. The waitress was also bartender& had control of a full house. She was friendly & knew her job well. We will be back .“
“Appetizer: Mushrooms! Holy moly best mushrooms we ever had! The breading was unlike anything we ever had, thin but crispy the mushrooms were meaty and pull apart not mushy at all.Entree: Fish n Chips, Cod same breading delicious!Entree: French Dip- Prime Rib! The fries were great!“
“Wow! Absolutely perfect evening. First time here and wish we had this restaurant at home so we could visit for date night couple of weeks. Service is top notch, and the food is amazing. Well done 511, you have created something special. Special shout out for having the perfect kids menu. There is truly something for everyone at 511.“
“My bestie and I had a lovely time at Libations catching up and enjoying the intimate vibe and looking out at the Arcata square. The pourer of libations was very knowledgeable and described the wines with enthusiasm. We were able to taste a variety of bottled deliciousness and ended up with a glass of bubbly from France. So much fun, I'll definitely be back.“
“Lovely Inn, staff and service is excellent. Love the lobby sitting area with fireplace and restaurant 301. Very welcoming. Nice rooms, bathrooms a little on the small side but functional. Walk in shower would be better. We will be staying again in a few weeks on our return trip back.“
“The owners of Dead Reck are so awesome, they frequent the store I work at which is how I found out about this place. They create an awesome and welcoming environment in the bar and right next store they have a little shop if you just want a can for home!“
“Recommended by someone who does Not dance or like to have fun?... Interestingly. It can get crowded in there, so be prepared to slide in and out of tight spaces and offend drinkers for bumping them on accident with your hips or chest. ✔️ Classy place, though. It's better luck next time for Me.“
“My boyfriend and I were visiting the area recently and came across The Speakeasy. Our cocktails were great; he loved his old fashioned, and my Stormy Hot Chocolate (?) was absolutely delicious. A must for a rainy day!We had no complaints about the atmosphere, but after we arrived, the bartender continued a lengthy, casual conversation with another patron for some time before serving us, which I found it a little off-putting.“

Ample seating options abound, from cozy corners to the inviting bar area.My choice of an old fashioned was crafted to perfection, tailored to my rye preference - a testament to their dedication to personalized service. Its prime location serves as the perfect starting or ending point for a night out, surrounded by local eateries and bustling activities. Whether you're looking for a laid-back evening or a prelude to a night on the town, North of Fourth delivers.A must-visit, and I'm eagerly anticipating my next stopover. Highly recommended.“
“Love The Shanty! I lived in Old Town, Eureka, CA for ten years and The Shanty was a 3-minute walk from my apartment. This place is AMAZING! I enjoyed Friday and Saturday nights here, playing pool, having a few drinks and catching up with folks, and of course taking in the great live acts. I also enjoyed the festive seasons such as Halloween, Christmas, NYE, Christmas in July, etc., where the bar was decorated and filled with a very lively atmosphere. The drinks here are always well-made and priced well, as are the beers. I was a big fan of The Shanty dog....with Sriracha! Service here is always tops and the bartenders are great people. A+++! ❤️❤️❤️“
“The Logger Bar provided a truly authentic local experience, with a lively atmosphere that immediately captured the essence of the community. The staff's attention to detail, including checking for ID, added to the genuine charm of the establishment. The presence of a few friendly local dogs seeking attention added a heartwarming touch to the lively scene. The rustic decor, adorned with chainsaws and sawblades, added a touch of rugged authenticity that perfectly complemented the bar's name. Although our visit was brief, we departed with a sense of anticipation, as local musicians were setting up for what promised to be a captivating performance.“
“For what it is, definitely the best steak joint in its class. I had, two steaks there on two separate occasions. Absolutely fantastic, and I worked at Ruth's Chris... If you are looking for good steak, without the markup of a fancy atmosphere. This is it.... Also do yourself a solid, try to gorgonzola butter...Five stars in all categories take into consideration the type of place this is... This is not an upscale spot, this is a dive, with better steaks than most upscale joints I've been to.“
“Love it!! Great music, friendly, chill vibe l. I really got taken in to the music. Welcoming to all ages. I think it's important to expose my kids to live music and this was a safe place to enjoy myself while my youngsters get to see what it's all about with live bands“

“I get great, fast service whenever I come in. Daniel is my favorite bartender, he has good conversational skills, funny, and I always have a good time. I love their Bloody Mary's, you get all of the fixings, beef jerky, banana peppers, jalapeno, onions, asparagus, and green beans, yummy. This place is a must see if you're into metal shows, they book them all of the time. Also has karaoke that has no limits on song choices. There are two pool tabels, and pool tournaments. All around this is one of my go to bars in Eureka. There is also a liquor store next door for quick snack replenishment for a night out drinking.“
“We've been meaning to visit the new location for a while, and finally did last week. Cute outdoor space with heaters, it was chilly outside and we were very comfortable.Service was excellent. Everyone liked their food, although my husband was a little disappointed in the salmon nigiri (said there was barely any salmon on it). Didn't take pics this time, but we will be back.“
“The service was great. They were very attentive and friendly. The food was okay. We had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly medium well. The clam chowder did not taste home made. The salad was okay. The grilled snapper was under seasoned and the vegetables were very plain steamed vegetables and baked potatoes came with no butter, sour cream or anything. The oysters did taste fresh, we had both raw and grilled and both were delicious.“
