Please keep driving, not that good. There’s better food in the area. The sandwich was very mediocre. The meat was sparse and oddly textured. We got the spicy pork belly, what came out wasn’t spicy and didn’t resemble pork belly. It looked like cooked sliced pork belly that ls been slowly stewing, all the “belly” was removed and what was left was browned soft (yet somehow dry) meat. The veggies were not pickled and were watery and flavorless. The bread was thin and super crispy and crunchy. This is a bhan mi shop, why is the stores specialty not special in any way?I got a Thai tea with boba, the boba was okay, the Thai tea was watered down and lacking depth/richness.2 bahn mi2 drinksAlmost $50 including tip.No bathroomsJust go somewhere else in general

Super excited I found my go-to place for fresh summer rolls in Marin! I ordered through the kiosk so I didn't interact with staff. The place is super clean and modern.

I read so many positive reviews of this place, I couldn't wait to try it. First of all, it's not a welcoming place to sit and eat; the tiny plastic tables and glaring lighting make it pretty uncomfortable (it appears that most of the orders were call-in and pick up.) And it was pretty popular: though there were only a few people in there, my order took at least 15 minutes because of all the to-go orders in front of me. I had the pork belly, which appeared to be a little more than crumbles of leftover pork belly on cold noodles. Perhaps the pho was better, but I've been spoiled - on Clement Street alone in San Francisco, there are three or four better places with lower prices. The people behind the counter were lovely, but you have little interaction with them since all ordering is electronic.

Sadly the salad I ordered today w bbq pork was not great. The pork was dried out, hard to chew & it looked old.

The BBQ pork bahn mi misses the mark. The overwhelming flavor profile is sweet rather than a balance of sweet/spicy/umami. The pork is sweet and strong on five spice. The pickled vegetables are sweet instead of a mix of sweet and sour. They need more vinegar and probably a little salt, too. They tasted like coleslaw. There were two small slices of jalapeño but not enough to give the sandwich a nice balance. The bread should be crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The bread tasted fine but it was chewy instead of crunchy/soft. It's rare that I don't finish a bahn mi but there just wasn't much flavor to this one beyond sweet and five spice and I grew tired of that. The Vietnamese iced coffee was pretty good and very sweet as it should be but not as strong as it should be. My order was ready quickly, under ten minutes from when I placed it.

Poor service, terrible attitude. I ordered intending to pick up in San Rafael. Arrived there, and they said the order was in Mill Valley. I asked if we could transfer to San Rafael, spoke to the Mill Valley location and they said that was not possible as the order was already made. 10-15 minutes later, en route to Mill Valley I received a text saying the order was ready. I arrived and they HAD NOT EVEN STARTED THE ORDER. I then got attitude from the person who worked there saying they had called me and I said to cancel. I showed her my phone with their text but no phone call from them and she said she was "sorry I couldn't read the right instructions on where to order". It wasn't my first visit to Banh Mi, but it was definitely my last. The owner has alleged that I threw the cell phone in San Rafael. This is absurd. I spoke with Mill Valley, and HANDED the phone back to the staff person in San Rafael. It was never even dropped. Furthermore, I was at the Mill Valley location within 10 minutes of their text saying the food was ready. The staff person said that I canceled the order so they "gave" the food away. Bad service followed by lies. Not a good way to run a business.

Their Banh mi is so good, I got the traditional and this place got my approval for their bread being authentic. Will come back to try their other types of meat selections.

There is something magical about fresh warm bread and cold picked vegetables. I got teriyaki chicken which was delicious. Also tried the bbq pork which was pretty good. Unlike some bahn mi places they didn't overdo the sauces. Will be back! It's a perfect meal after a hike.

The mushroom bahn mi is AMAZING. Love the proportions of every ingredient in the sandwich.
