“This is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious treat! We had a banana cream ( don’t know whether I got the name right) , and pineapple something. They were both curiously delicious. The banana-flavored donut had cream for an extra-sweet finish, it was pillowy and perfect. The place is clean, and even with decorative statement pieces, clutter-free.“

“I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Uncle Benny's! The very first time I ordered from here, Charlie made it a point to ask for my name and actually remembered my name 2 weeks later when I came back! He also introduced me to his team Lily and Lynn (or Linh)! They made me feel so welcomed and that's why I go to them and have told many people I come across about them. They wake up at 3am to make their various homemade bagels and cream cheese. My favorite combo so far has been the pesto bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese. Their Vietnamese coffee is really good too. Overall, EVERYTHING is good! This mom & pop store is a must if you're in the area or even in SF in general!“

“I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Krispy Kreme who? These donuts are beyond words of delicious and delightful. I drive from the East Bay usually late night when my husband and I are craving phenomenal donuts. The donuts are extremely fresh, the times I've been here there has been an older gentleman making them and racks of donuts ready to be bought. Yummmmmmm. Just incredible tasty donuts. You can tell the oil they get made in is also very fresh, no after taste of old oil. Donuts are not super greasy. The service is magnificent! The first time coming here the woman was extremely helpful and kind. The second time a young man helped us and he had a great personality and energy. He was telling us some of the stories of the donut place. Really enjoyed his service! The ambiance is an old school donut shop with closed off seating area but looks very vintage. Grab and go type of donut shop right on Polk St. RECOMMEND THIS PLACE 100% :)“

I grew up in the area but now live out of the country and my family has relocated to the east bay but I still make the 60 min drive all the way to Jelly Donut whenever I come to visit them. “I'm only rating the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Vietnamese Iced Coffee: I wanted a strong drink, both caffeine and flavor. This checks that box! I went with the Large because I needed something to really kick start my day. It absolutely did.Aside, they have a handful of tables that you can sit at or do some work. The Wi-Fi is pretty damn good too! Took a few Zoom calls with zero issues. Only thing is, it could get loud if there's a lot of folks here.“

“This place is AWESOME! Being vegan, I asked what was available. I was told the plain cake donut, the sugar donut and the crumb donut were all vegan! I grabbed a crumb and sugar and they blew me away. Absolutely wonderful. My partner, who is not vegan, got an egg and cheese sandwich that was HUGE and delicious! “A great place that doesn't really need another 5-star review. I visited both locations and was impressed with both, I met the owner at the Hahdough Kitchen on Laguna, she waited on me personally. At Laguna you transact your business via a storefront window. Fell street is set up like a regular bakery where you go in and select from items in a glass case. Wife sampled both the Black Forest and Gentleman's cake, opted for the latter. I was more for the Black Forest myself. I also tried the Berliner and Cinnamon pastry because I deserved a reward for my efforts. All were great. One heads-up: they close at 3p which is a rude realization when they call you at 2:40pm while you are en route via Muni and 40 minutes away, the day before wife's birthday. A quick disembarkation and Lyft ride later, all good.“

“This little cafe is right by one of the most scenic spots in SF - Crissy Field! I stopped by during a walk along the water. They have a few tables and chairs to enjoy your food and drinks there as well. I got a regular coffee, which I enjoyed, but the star of the show was the donut. I had the lemon poppy seed donut, which is one of their seasonal options. The flavors were great and I particularly liked that it wasn't too sweet. The donuts are small but hefty and it made the perfect snack. They also have vegan and gluten free regular and seasonal options, making this place super accessible for everyone.“

Sure there are fancy, pseudo gourmet donuts places that charge you absurd amounts for 87 cents worth of ingredients, but nothing beats an old school donut shop. Everyone has their favorite, and for this place to do so well while just down the street from Bob's speaks to the quality of their product. “Walked in by chance. We were touring San Francisco and wanted to get something portable, so donuts and smoothie sounded good. Once inside we saw the two ladies making amazing ham/cheese croissant sandwich and we had to try. Delicious!! Hot and toasty from the oven, flaky croissant. So good. We also saw huge chicken burritos being made… will have one of those next time! The mango smoothie was a cool blast of flavor. Solid bakery, really fresh stuff and the recipes are thought through. Fluffy and not too sugary imo. Not coming from the US and having tested a few donuts in the US, i really liked this one.Also had a good french Toast breakfast with Bacon and eggs one morning, but the plate looked a bit empty. Or better that the portion could have been a bit bigger.
