“I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff and waiters were very helpful and welcoming. Initially, I wasn’t willing to really enter the place since it kind of looked as if it was a basement on the side of the road. However, as I entered the place, I noticed that it had a surprisingly cozy atmosphere. The place was an International Pizza Challenge winner twice, in 2017 and 2018.

However, we did not order pizza and decided to order pasta instead. Their portion sizes were quite large compared to some other restaurants. I noticed two things though: the selections of their beers were limited, and some seating areas were uncomfortably warm. This doesn’t affect my review, however.

The pasta was amazing overall. It was quite the hearty meal we were looking for after a long day. Overall, I think it is a great place to eat.“

“As a Turkish who’s been living in the Bay Area for a long time, I have to say this is easily the BEST LAHMACUN and TURKISH PİDE I’ve had around here!!!

You can order the lahmacun spicy or not (which is amazing) and the dough is exactly how it should be; thin, crispy, and loaded with toppings, just like in Turkey. We later noticed they had pastırmalı pide on the menu and immediately had to order one, especially after finding out the pastırma actually comes from Turkey.

Three of us shared two lahmacuns and one pide and it was more than enough. Everything was fresh and seriously delicious.

The hospitality also deserves a mention. The team was incredibly warm and attentive, and they even offered us tea, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic.

And if you’ve never tried şalgam before, they have it here too. Definitely give it a try!“

“I ate at Pazzo on Wednesday and had a great experience. The restaurant is take out only. I ordered at the restaurant instead of on the phone. The staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. The order took about 20 minutes and we had a drink outside while waiting. I HIGHLY recommend the shrimp and grits. Over anything else on the menu! And I was told the gnocchi was amazing too iAnd of course the pizza is awesome!“

“Atlas is a unique place. I’ve stopped by with friends for an event but not really had the full Atlas experience until tonight. I had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The Italian garlic combo! Friendly staff, wine and beer, tonight there was live music on the patio area. Max the owner is a wonderful host who is very active in the San Bruno community. Atlas is bringing good times back to down town San Bruno. Make it one of your first post pandemic stops!“

Their wine selection is also great and they can help you choose a wine to pair with dinner. I believe the owner or someone owns a wine store down the street so it makes sense. Menu is small for a reason, all of the options are great but the arugula salad and the gnocchi are so delicious. This place is a hidden gem.“

“We’ve always been thin crust pizza fans, have never tasted authentic NY style pizza, though we have had Napoli-style pizza several times in Rome, and we gotta say, the crust here is AMAZING!! The only slight change that I think would make it taste even better is if there was a bit more salt in the dough. Other than that, the bottom of the pizza was crisp, and the crust was airy and crisp with a slight chew. The crust was so delicious that we saved all our uneaten crusts to bring home for later, could not bear to throw them away (unlike other, more bready crusts). 😆 The pepperoni pizza was our favorite (so flavorful), with the sausage being a close second. The margherita was nice with the fresh basil, but could have used a sprinkling of salt. Our younger son really wanted to try the corn pizza, but we could only manage to finish 3 pizzas with our family of 7, so he has already declared that this will be his pick for his birthday meal, and that he will be getting the corn pizza. 😆 Wish it were closer to us (we live around 30 mins away), but it is not too far for special occasions! From where we live, comparatively, Mountain Mike’s and Porky’s Pizza Palace would be rated 2 or 3 out of 10 and Spinning Dough would be 9/10! Would totally buy it frozen if they offered that, it is that good! Was also a treat for the kids to watch the owner (who is super, super nice!) toss the dough and assemble the pizzas. “This pizza is not like a traditional woodfired style. It's a focaccia crust. Light and crispy, plenty of decent quality toppings. Super friendly staff. Can't believe I've never been here before. If your in the mood for a Focaccia pizza, this is the place!“

“Pricey but large slices. 1 slice was 7$ 1 slice = 2 paper plates size. Has 3 - 4 compact parking spaces behind building, rest is street parking. Relaxed atmosphere, clean, fully stocked cold soda cans or bottles fridge / waters, painted murals on walls. 6 tables seating 4-5 people each, 1 round barstool type table for 2 people. Fast friendly service.
At my time of visit it was around 84 degrees outside, door was open, very warm inside which felt like little ventilation. The cold sodas were much needed.
We ordered a Hawaiian slice to eat inside and a Mushroom slice to go. Crispy, thin crusts. Shared the 1 slice between 2 people. Would recommend trying this place.

“My family and I were searching for a great pizza spot near San Carlos and stumbled upon Impasto through Google Maps. I managed to snag a reservation just an hour beforehand, and I’m so glad I did because there were only two slots left. Shortly after we arrived, the place packed out—in the best way possible.

The interior is absolutely beautiful. My wife and I couldn't stop admiring the color palette and how well the entire design came together. Even the small details, like the flower vases on the tables, were incredibly thoughtful.

Our server, Jackson, was fantastic. He gave us great recommendations and, refreshingly, didn't make us feel uncomfortable when we decided to skip drinks that night—something that happens way too often at other places.

Every single thing we ordered was incredible, from the pizza and the roasted beet salad to the veal cannelloni special and tiramisu.

My only minor hurdle was the initial confusion with parking, but the hostess kindly cleared that up for us so we know exactly where to go on our next visit. We will definitely be back!“
