Went here with no expectations, after all its just a quick grab restaurant inside a shopping mall. And, they delighted me with a pleasant surprise. We ordered Paneer biriyani and paneer manchurian. And OMG it was one of the best interms of making it taste like home but yummy. The balance is what's amazing..usually restaurant food is oily and heavy. This was so different, it was light, less oily, natural and very tasty. Food came super fast and was really really good. Id love to visit again when I am back in town.”

“Came here on Thursday afternoon right when they opened and there was plenty of seating. The food came out pretty fast and love the clean decorations inside.
Service was amazing! The waitress would refill our water frequently and the food was great! The tofu was perfect and tasted really good. The noodle dish and the hangover hearty broth soup was very clean tasting and very good. The tables weren’t sticky either, seems like it’s kept pretty clean.
I would recommend this restaurant and will likely come back to try other dishes and get the signature fried tofu again!”

Their menu is varied enough to have a great selection, but not so much that it's overwhelming. The minute you enter their diner, you're greeted with a warm Good Morning or Good Afternoon! The staff is very attentive and friendly; we felt like members of the family from our first visit! The food is priced fairly, which is hard to say about almost any other restaurant I've been in lately, and, it is delicious! There you have it...Welcoming, friendly staff, great menu selection, delicious food, priced fairly. A recipe for success, obviously since they've been there for over 20 years! Try it, you will not be disappointed!”

“Wow the sauce bar is one of the best I’ve experienced in the states. We came here with a group of friends and it was so much fun! The broth is really good and all the ingredients were presented really well. You can get a huge mix of mushroom platter, meat platter and even intestines.

The interior is bright and nice. This place is good for group dinners, though there is a lot of standing up to reach for things to make sure it doesn’t spill everywhere.

You start by picking your base: sushi rice, brown rice, or greens, then add your proteins with variety such was spicy salmon, tuna, shrimp, tilapia, tuna salad, tofu, etc. You can choose a spice level, and additional toppings such as edamame, corn, seaweed salad (so good), macaroni salad, crab, etc. I love to add spicy mayo and yuzu ponzo, plus eel sauce. Do not pass this place up!”

“Dakao sandwiches has been around for over 30 years maybe 40. Decor is probably original. Anyway banh mi sandwiches are generally good. Expect to pay 7 dollars for a standard banh mi. They use a 10 inch narrow baguette. Filling is ok but uneven. Buy 2 and it's still less than what you would pay for a sandwich from a deli or sandwich shop.”

“I stopped by Ume Tea and tried one of their fruit milk drinks, it’s the mango cloud and it was absolutely delicious! The drink was refreshing, creamy, and packed with real fruit pieces. The presentation was beautiful, and every layer blended perfectly together.

The shop itself is clean, cute, and welcoming, with a fun atmosphere that makes it a great place to grab a treat while shopping. It’s located in the Great Mall, so all the better. The staff was friendly, and my drink was made quickly despite how busy it was.

If you enjoy unique boba and fruit tea creations, Ume Tea is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more flavors!

“Great place for malatang style eating where you select your own food and portion. I love eating the vegetables there so I choose all the veggies I love to eat only. They also have a number of meat that are pretty good for your soup as well. It feels like you go shopping and they cook for you.

Once select your food and select your soup type that you want, they will cook it for you and bring it to your table. Medium spicy can be a bit spicy for some people so choose wisely.

Depends on how much you get but it could range from $15-22/person. I normally get about 1 pound of food which costs around $20. There is not much service since it’s pretty much self service.

I've tried most of the top spots in the bay area (Ramen Dojo, Ramen Parlor, Ramen Nagi, Marufuku, HiroNori etc.). I had the Tonkatsu Ramen, with Kale noodles, and Spicy Sauce on the side. Overall it was a solid ramen and I could see myself going back in the future since I work nearby. Prices are standard, and service was good. You order at your table with a tablet. Like others have said, its a small place so probably not a good idea to go with a large group.”

“I first met the owner just prior to their official opening. He stated that they would be having fresh, homemade food there; especially and finally, breakfast tacos as well. After awaiting for them to open, I came back and ordered 1 carne asada taco. Afterall; that is the starting point to what can lead to a great menu. Yes it certainly was delicious. I chose to have only one topping as to get the true flavor of the meat. It was juicy and very flavorful. My second and last time I visited was a couple of days prior to this writing. This time I ordered the California Burrito and two Breakfast Tacos. Both of which not only met my expectations, but surpassed it. The owner even threw in a bonus item, a Breakfast Quesadilla. That was the favorite item of my lunch that day. I always do what I can to go out and support small, independent businesses, especially in my own community. Los Jefes Taqueria is a definite place to try out and then you will be back when craving that taco or burrito.”

I visited during lunch with a few friends, and we were wowed by the variety of food options. The naan was served fresh, and everything we tried tasted really good.

I also catered food from them for my spouse’s 50th birthday party, and the food was a huge hit with all our guests. Everything was delivered on time and tasted perfect.

For appetizers, we ordered Dahi Bhalla, Achaari Paneer, and Gobi Manchurian. For the main course, we had Chana Masala, Butter Chicken, and Paneer Lababdar, along with Naan and Lachcha Paratha. We also ordered Moong Dal Halwa for dessert.

The Dahi Bhalla was a super hit! Several guests said it was hands down the best Dahi Bhalla they had ever had at a restaurant. All the other dishes were equally delicious and received lots of compliments.

Overall, whether you’re looking for a great North Indian buffet or catering for a party, I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be ordering from them again!”

This is my third time dining at Sushi Umami, and I’ve had a wonderful experience every time. I finally had to write a review because this place truly deserves the recognition!

The restaurant has a beautiful, elegant atmosphere, with tasteful decor, clean wooden tables, and cozy sofa booths. We were seated in one of the booths this time, which made our meal even more relaxing.

I especially love the beautiful tableware. Every plate, little bowl, and even the tiny sake cups is thoughtfully chosen and absolutely charming. Paired with the fresh, delicious food and beautiful presentation, everything is a feast for both the stomach and the eyes!

We particularly enjoyed the Truffle Hamachi, Uni Amaebi Don, Sake Steamed Clams, Sashimi Box, Omakase Nigiri & Sashimi, Double Toro Roll, and Triple S Roll. The staff were also friendly, gentle, and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout the meal.
