“I recently tried Mala Town 麻辣烫, and it was a fantastic experience. The best part is being able to customize your own bowl — you pick exactly what ingredients you want, from fresh vegetables and tofu to different meats and noodles. Everything tasted very fresh and the variety of options was great.
The broth was rich, aromatic, and perfectly spicy. It had that authentic Sichuan-style mala flavor — numbing, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. You can also adjust the spice level, which makes it great whether you prefer mild or extra spicy.
The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The restaurant was clean and well organized, making the whole experience very comfortable. It’s a great spot if you’re craving authentic Chinese comfort food.
Overall, Mala Town is a great place for flavorful, customizable mala tang. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Simply amazing food and incredibly awesome staff ❤️👍 My addiction to ho here and eat ❤️❤️❤️ I just wish there was a Dish Dash in South San Francisco or close by 😕🙏”
“Such a great find! Jun Bistro delivers authentic Yunnan flavors with a modern touch. The dishes were flavorful without being overly spicy or greasy, which we really appreciated.
Perfect for a casual lunch and very friendly for families too. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the overall experience felt warm and welcoming. Highly recommend if you want something different from the usual Chinese fare!”
“Requested Jojo and again he provided excellent service. He put me in the Christmas spirit on a day I didn’t feel so Jolly but his warmth and charisma’s reminded me of the Christmas spirit on top of serving up a warm meal on a rather chilly and lonely Christmas Eve. Thank you Jojo and Outback Mangment and teams for the wonderful evening. Would highly recommended requesting Jojo”

“A neighborhood favorite in Milpitas! The fish quality is amazing, not far off from what I’ve experienced at high end sushi restaurants. At $14-$18 per roll, you’re looking at some incredible value. No, it’s not authentic Japanese sushi, but I still think it’s delicious. Always coming back for their Mizuno and Dragon rolls!”
“After a tiring vacation, this was exactly what we were looking for – a meal that feels homely yet festive, relaxing and soul-satisfying in every sense. Royal Thaali in Milpitas delivered just that, and then some! The bright and cheerful space was bustling with families and groups, all diving into their unlimited thalis with visible delight, and we were about to join that happy brigade.
What makes their thali special is how every element fits together like little pieces of a puzzle, each complementing the other so beautifully, or should I say, so tastefully. The meal began with a nicely churned and spiced buttermilk that arrived promptly, setting the tone for what was to come. As the server started filling all the little utensils on our plate, our appetite built up steadily, almost like watching a performance unfold before the main act.
The kala chana masala was a pleasant surprise – usually this dish comes devoid of any gravy, but here it had this thin, soup-like consistency that was lightly spiced and tasted incredibly refreshing. It paired beautifully with the accompanying kadhi, creating a harmony that was comforting and familiar. The dry paneer curry had that rustic, dhaba-like quality with minced tomatoes and onions that took me straight back to roadside eateries on highway trips.
But the show-stealer, hands down, was the aloo curry made with karela. Now, karela isn't everyone's favorite, me thinks, but the way they've incorporated it here offered a unique and pleasant bitter taste that elevated the entire dish. It was bold yet balanced, and honestly, I couldn't stop going back for more. The cabbage curry was as homely as it could be, the kind your grandmother would make on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
What really impressed me was the service – the ghee-laced phulkas and masala pooris kept coming to our table piping hot, even without us asking for them. The staff was attentive and the refills came just at the right time, making the entire experience nothing short of impeccable. There's something to be said about a restaurant where the service flows so seamlessly that you barely notice it happening.
And then came the desserts, which were truly the icing on the cake. The kheer arrived perfectly chilled, laced generously with kesar, and tasted phenomenal. Each spoonful was creamy, fragrant, and just the right amount of sweet. But what blew me away was the malai kalakand – easily the freshest I've had anywhere in the Bay Area. It was soft, milky, and had that melt-in-your-mouth quality that only comes from using the finest ingredients and making it fresh.
All in all, Royal Thaali is something you absolutely should not miss if you're in Milpitas and around.”

“As far as coconut desserts spots go this is pretty solid.
Had their seasonal persimmon flavor pudding and mango pudding, both were quite good although it was a bit less firm then others.
Pricing wise they are indeed a bit high but is all similar shops like this so still would recommend.”

“The Takoyaki was one of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area (closest to the ones at Taiwan’s night market imo). It was fresh, delicious, exactly what I craved for 🥰 The curly fries are amazing as well! Freshly made and great quality :) and of course my fav drink - Black Milk Tea with Taro & Boba is always spot on~”

“I came here to order a takeaway around 6.30ish.
I got spicy pav bhaji, and tried the new items a vada pav and the dabeli.
They hand a buzzer which will let you know when the order is ready.
The order was ready quickly.
The vada pav was very authentic with the dry chutney powder and the chillies. It was crispy and right amount of spicy.
The dabeli was tangy and sweet and the right combo with the crispy peanuts
The spicy amul pav bhaji was what brought me here.
The pav was loaded with butter and spices.
The bhaji was a bit large quantity and loaded with butter.
The bhaji has little heavy flavor to lavang/elaichi but was good overall.
Definitely gonna be back for the other new items”
“Great location and delicious Indian cuisine. Ambience is excellent. Menu covers wide variety of south and North Indian dishes”
“I have lived in Milpitas for 3 1/2 years now, and only recently 'discovered' this hidden gem right at the end of the street I live on!!! Their menu is varied enough to have a great selection, but not so much that it's overwhelming. The minute you enter their diner, you're greeted with a warm Good Morning or Good Afternoon! The staff is very attentive and friendly; we felt like members of the family from our first visit! The food is priced fairly, which is hard to say about almost any other restaurant I've been in lately, and, it is delicious! There you have it...Welcoming, friendly staff, great menu selection, delicious food, priced fairly. A recipe for success, obviously since they've been there for over 20 years! Try it, you will not be disappointed!”

“Since opening, it has gone down hill a little as one would expect as the owner/manager isn’t on site. The amount of meat has lessened, price overall is quite high (-$19) for a sandwich and a can soda. I justified the higher price for what initially offered but has creeped up for less product. At least they’ll serve you a pickle if you request it. I guess it’s one one way to economize by not automatically giving a pickle. However at their 1st location I was put-off by having to fish for a pickle that is handled by customers and that not hygienic.
I’ve found myself not going as much but went there this week to feeling a little bummed that things haven’t improved.”
“I was born and raised in Oaxaca City and decided to give this place a try. I will happily say that they absolutely exceeded my expectations in terms of their flavors, service, and atmosphere.
This food truck is located within the parking lot of a local gas station at E Calaveras Blvd & S Park Victoria Dr. There was enough parking at the time I drove in. The guy who took my order greeted me in Spanish with a smile and acted very genuinely and cordially.
I ordered 2 lengua tacos. The portions were appropriate, and the meat was perfectly cooked and tasted both juicy and very, very, authentic. The onions and cilantro had been freshly diced and made me smile when I squeezed lime juice on both tacos. They gave me two small containers with their red and green salsas. Yes, their salsas immediately activated long-stored memories in my taste buds. I can say that it flew me back to Oaxaca. My whole mouth watered at the first bite, so to extend the feast in my mouth and soul, I made 4 tacos with the double tortillas.
I will be coming back with friends and family and I think you should too.”
“I stop by after work yesterday to get the tiramisu cake for my mother-in-law. Each of us had a slice of it after the homemade hot pot dinner. We were all quite amazed about the texture and the taste. Beyond our expectation! I have to say personally I like it better than 85 °C’s version (or other competitors bakery) especially with the $31.99 price. The guy helped with my pick up was nice, I was in and out for 5 minutes. He gave me 3 packs of different color candles although we didn’t ended up using those. Their paper plates quality are not that good, very thin made. I would suggest just ask for utensils for your cake order. Might go with a different flavor next time for my husband and my daughter’s birthdays in September. :)”
“Outstanding food at Chup Chaap Truck in Milpitas.
The Amritsari naan was perfectly crisp outside and soft inside with authentic flavor, and the kadai chicken had a rich, bold masala that tasted just like classic Punjabi dhaba cooking.
Simple, flavorful, and very satisfying. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the area.”
“Food can be a bit inconsistent at times, but their service is always good, and they will even remake food for you if the food tastes a bit off - maybe stay away from cold noodles. Their banchan is usually very good - but can be a little off when they are too busy to control their quality. Despite this, I will always come back because they offer great Korean comfort food. 😊 best japchae, galbi ddeokbokki, sulungtang in town.”
“The sushi here is seriously good - fresh ingredients, creative rolls you won’t find anywhere else. The Fuji Roll? Absolutely delicious. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly, even if the vibe inside feels a bit cramped and could use a deeper clean. It’s a small spot, so I’d recommend takeout or delivery over dining in. For the quality of food though, it’s worth it.”

“Man this place was GOOD. I get Indian food a lot and this place is some of the best for South Indian. They were VERY helpful in finding me vegan options when I was turned away from the thali place across the street that said every dish has dairy. I’m so grateful to have found something, and I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area!”
“There are quite a few repetitive hot pot ingredients, it would be nice to have more variety. The overall flavor is fine. However, the extra meat slices I ordered weren’t very impressive, they were just boiled and completely unseasoned. It seems they’re meant to be eaten with the hot pot but it would be better if they were served together with the hot pot instead.”
“After visiting so many hot pot restaurants, I still prefer this place. They have renovated it again, giving it a unique charm. The service is friendly, the environment is clean, and the quality of the dishes is excellent. I have been here many times. Today is my daughter's birthday, and she asked for hot pot. I brought her here, and she also loves it.”
“Tried the Green Peas Sushi and Pumpkin Sushi. Pumpkin sushi was really good. Would never feel guilty after eating Sushi.
Definitely recommended ✅
Updated on 11.11.2025
Added new photos after having tried the Mango Sushi, and Cucumber Avocado Sushi. It was really good. Staff was kind and helpful.”
“We came with friends. Love their soup dumplings, all pan fried buns, chill beef and all vegetable dishes.Great food and service as usual. I have brought different groups of friends. They all love the place and keep coming back. I love the settings decoration and background music. Great places to bring families and friends.”
“What a great surprise! We didn’t get a chance to take pictures of the food, but not needed. Great place, fantastic service. We really enjoyed ordering through the in-store QR code. Everything we tried was delicious, nicely served. The customer service was great beginning to end. We will come back for sure!”

“i dont love fast food. sometimes late night, this is all that's available. theres a hispanic manager here, great energy, slimmer build with tattoos on his arm. great service, friendly and outgoing. ive never had any issues with my orders here. one time the shake machine was down for the week and i was denied twice while i waited for management to get it fixed.”
“I find that all the price from different McDonald are different. This store has the cheapest price that they offered around the area compare to all other McDonald. No kiosk to order so you either order from your phone or in line. Wait can be long since there are always a lot of people.”
“The service was great, food was brought out quick and all of it was so delicious. Will be back again.”
“I love this restaurant before, because I love to eat anything!”
“The self-service barbecue was a great experience with fresh ingredients and a fun atmosphere. The food was delicious and easy to prepare. Special thanks to the servers **Rico** and **Doony**—they were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, which made the whole experience even better.”

“Fantastic little poke spot in Milpitas. Friendliest owners I've ever met, and the toppings are fresh and delicious. You start by picking your base: sushi rice, brown rice, or greens, then add your proteins with variety such was spicy salmon, tuna, shrimp, tilapia, tuna salad, tofu, etc. You can choose a spice level, and additional toppings such as edamame, corn, seaweed salad (so good), macaroni salad, crab, etc. I love to add spicy mayo and yuzu ponzo, plus eel sauce. Do not pass this place up!”
“Easily one of the top 3 Poki places in the bay area. Amazing taste. They have very compact and precise menu. Great portion for regular bowl. I like the black rice and spicy meats. We also tried a roll and miso soup. It was nice. They are very consistent in their taste. Quick service and no waiting.”

“Great place to sit back and relax while enjoying a cup of delicious frozen yogurt. The place is clean and the employees are nice and friendly. Love the strawberry and cheesecake flavors. Great selection of toppings. If you haven’t tried it yet I recommend giving it a try.”
“I like the drinks and snacks at Ume, so I stop by from time to time. Orders are placed through the kiosk, and while waiting, you can see the staff at work. Elaine always makes sure that both the drinks and snacks are prepared neatly and with care. Her friendliness and attention to quality make this a pleasant place to visit.”
“This was my first time here with my kid, we had a buffet and it was a very good spread for both Veg and Nonveg. Spice level was balanced such that my kid could eat many dishes. Would go here again.”

“Price is $15.99/lb with the many options for the broth. Malatang has gotten very popular recently and feels similar to hot pot. You get a decent amount of food if you only eat 1 lb of food.
The space in the restaurant is on the smaller side, but the wait time is short. You grab a bowl and go down the line while picking up the ingredients you want into your bowl. At the end, the cashier weighs the bowl to determine how much to pay.
Wait time for them to cook the food and bring it out to you is very quick, which helps bring down the wait time. I enjoyed the beef broth but spice level was high for me personally at the mild level.”
“Just traveled from Canada today, my friends couldn’t stop talking about this place. I finally got to try this and it was amazing. It was insane, I can vouch and say this is the best pizza I’ve ever had. Nothing in Canada is even close to this. 10/10 recommended. Please do try their Chilli Paneer and Aloo Chaat. Insane. Best food and an even better service.”
“Hansang Tofu – The Hidden Gem of Milpitas 💎🇰🇷
This place is almost hidden in plain sight, tucked right behind the McDonald’s everyone in Milpitas knows. It’s one of those true “if you know, you know” spots that locals swear by.
My girlfriend and I have been coming here for a while now, and the reason we keep coming back is simple: quality. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with care.
What We Ordered 🍽️
Special Combo #35 – Galbi & Seafood Tofu Soup (Medium Spicy)
The portions are on the smaller side, but honestly, they’re perfect for two people, just enough to leave you satisfied without feeling stuffed.
The Galbi is beautifully marinated and grilled to perfection with that irresistible sweet and savory balance and a hint of char.
The Seafood Tofu Soup is our favorite, clean, rich, and full of depth. It’s easily one of the best versions around.
Pairing these two together is a flavor explosion, comforting, savory, and perfectly balanced. Add in a scoop of rice and some kimchi, and it’s game over. 🔥
Mandu 🥟
Freshly fried to golden crispiness with a juicy pork filling inside. The vinegar-based dipping sauce cuts through the richness perfectly, it’s tangy, addictive, and keeps you reaching for more.
The Banchan (Side Dishes) 🥢
Hansang nails their banchan every single time. From the kimchi to the seasoned sprouts, everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. You know a Korean restaurant is good when even the side dishes shine.
If you’re looking for an authentic Korean spot that hasn’t blown up yet, this is it. Come now (or better yet, yesterday) before everyone else finds out. Huge thanks to the Hansang staff for always taking care of us and keeping the quality top-notch. 🙌🇰🇷”
“More interesting and better at night than boba.
Lots of mango jellies, yogurts, etc for $8. Something sure to please everyone with some options sweeter than others. Fairly quick and consisent. Never a long line but always busy.
Good spot after eating at a resturant in the plaza.”
“My friend Bobby Yang brought me here to this Amazing place. The food was delicious, savory and tasty. The service was quick attentive, prompt even when it was busy. We had a couple different choices of skewers and above all, the star of the show was the bbq fish. If you're looking for authentic Chinese flavors, I recommend this place.”
“I recently encountered an issue with Chick-fil-A and wanted to share my experience. I tried to reach out through their website by entering the store number and transaction sequence number, but unfortunately, it didn’t accept my information. Feeling a bit frustrated, I decided to call Chick-fil-A, and the team took down my complaint, assuring me they would get back to me.
As the weekend went by, I almost forgot about the issue; while it wasn’t the end of the world, I felt it was important to bring it to their attention for the sake of improvement. Then, I received a call from Evelyn. I could sense her warmth and genuine desire to make things right. She truly listened to my concerns and resolved the issue with care. I’m very grateful to her for that. Thank you, Evelyn!”
“Went on May 10th Dia de Madres. The location was super busy, but we were seated right away. The service was awesome!!! Even tho it was busy, they had several people helping and checking on the tables. I made a special order. The Bacon Avocado Eggs Benedict but with country gravy instead of holendaise sauce!!! I despise holendaise sauce...lol Great Service!!!”

“Ordered the Tonkotsu soup ramen with thick noodles and less salt for myself and the black garlic soup ramen with thick noodles and less salt for hubby. The black garlic ramen was most flavourful. Both soup was rich and thick and the fried black garlic was fragrant. The pork slices were thick and soft. Have to say the ramen was tasty and satisfying, authentic to Japan. Have a try for yourself”
“The Filipino deserts app has mold. Brought these to a party and thank God it was discovered by my guests at the party. Called to get a refund and below me off as a joke. Mind you my wife and I live one hour away and demanded that we bring back the product that was purchased back to them to inspect. I have been purchasing deserts from them for over 35 years and spend a lot of money. So sad and no accountability and glad no one got sick. I will be letting the San Bernardino health dept know of this crooked establishment not following State and court health codes.”
“I loved their drinks! Its a bit sweet but its soooooo good. You can see the tapioca being made and your drink is made in front of you. The bunny in my drink was very cute, I almost felt bad eating it. They do have sparse seating so if it gets busy I could see not being able to sit anywhere, but there at least is decent amount of parking in front”

“If you like fresh tasty Asian food in an ultra clean, bright and cheery environment, you've found your new home at TK Noodle Milpitas. They reopened after being shut down by the covid lockdowns in a smaller newer building and it's better than ever. They have ame great food in a more cheerful clean bright friendly environment. I love pasta and noodles and their wide noodles are the best anywhere in the world, EVER!”
“Excellent food, taste is so authentic. Freshly made. Customer service is very friendly and accommodative. We had Chicken 65, Medu Vada, Dosa Varieties, Biriyani, parathas, Chilli chicken, uthappam, Poori etc. Highly recommend this restaurant, for kids and Adults. I would definitely visit often. Pricing very nominal.”

“This is the best Buffet that I have visited. I used to love Sweet Tomatoes but once they no longer had locations in the Bay Area, I found this place and it's just an awesome place. Great food and they have a wide variety of food. They have BBQ chicken, chow mein, fried rice, fish, salad, crab, clams, soup (sweet and sour is my favorite), fruit, sushi, frozen yogurt and this is only some of the food that they have available. And the cost is very reasonable for all the food and variety that is made available to you. If you've never been here, I would highly recommend that you come here at least one time so that you can experience the atmosphere here and see all that's available to you! I'm pretty sure that you won't be disappointed!”

“First time trying out the food here. We got 2 tacos, birria burrito and camarones a la diabla. Everything we ordered was amazing, good portions and at a great price point as well.
Even the corn tortillas was one of the best ones I have had yet. They felt house-made and not store bought.
The camarones a la diabla was actually spicy and quite flavorful. The tacos and the burrito were also very delicious and the meat was cooked well.
Will definitely order from this place again!”

“I got the matcha egg whip latte. I had heard about the egg lattes with coffee before, but I hadn’t seen it in matcha form. I got it lightly sweetened but it had a very nice creamy and foamy texture from the egg. I probably should have gotten it regular sweet, but it was still enjoyable. The place is very nicely decorated inside and very instagrammable. The hostess was also very kind and greeted us upon entering. I would come again to try their other things! They also sell cake which were pretty and seemed well made.”
“This location opened inside not too long ago inside the Great Mall not too far from the Jollibee and I've been several times already.
Their onigiri is delicious, fresh, and well-priced. I've also tried their signature poke bowl. Everything is made to order and the ingredients are high-quality. Even so, the prices are quite reasonable - the bowl is ~$17, including tax. Most poke places are easily starting at $20 for any sort of bowl and that's before you add in other toppings and premium ingredients.
Don't know how long they can keep up the quality at this price but I'd give it a try before too long.”
“I love this Starbucks location on Great Mall Parkway! It’s fairly new, having only been open for a couple of years, and the service is already top-tier. The staff is consistently amazing and the management is fantastic!
Becca and her crew are always so helpful and positive. She never complains and always greets you with a genuine smile. It’s a great, well-managed spot and the vibes are always perfect!”
“Came with a party of 10 at 7pm and were lucky enough to get the last 2 Peking ducks! Unfortunately, they were sold out of the other bbq items, but I definitely want to come back to try the pork belly! The skin of the Peking duck was crispy, and it was a hit! The sauerkraut fish wasn’t spicy imo. The Sichuan chicken was spicy and numbing though, which I enjoyed! We also ordered the pea sprouts and bean sprouts, which were both delicious! They were pretty busy at dinner time but were very efficient.”
“This is arguably the most authentic Guangxi rice noodles in the Bay Area. Not only does the laoyou noodles come in both versions – with and without tomato (adding tomato is a very nostalgic, old-school Nanning style) – but they also offer classic Guangxi toppings such as fried egg.
Given that much of the Bay Area Chinese food scene tends to prioritize shortcuts and marketing over substance, genuinely serious places like this often struggle to survive. I hope more people will support this owner, who is clearly doing things the right way.”
