Featuring their Creme Brulee Premium Two Stack, this soufflé style pancake brings the jiggly to the party. This style of pancakes makes everything so light, so you don't have to worry about feeling heavy afterwards!@phidingthefam

I would like to let everyone know that Gram is inside Shabu House. It is hard to see it from the street, but it is tucked inside on the side. I have gotten the souffle pancakes before. It was amazing and fluffy and jiggly. And still is. However, this is my first time sitting down to eat. The souffle pancakes take a while to make. Understandable. However, they also have meals, which I thought would come sooner. Nope, it came after the pancakes. I had the mentaiko spaghetti. I tried to opt for udon noodles as the menu says that i can pick either rice, udon, or spaghetti. They said no. That was fine. It was still good. But do not get their curry. It was nothing to write home about, especially the wagyu one. The patty was overcooked and the curry tasted like it came from a package. The chicken karaage was ok, nothing too great. It was all clumped up together. I also can't tell you about the service. Like I said, it took a long time to get our food. It was sadly disappointing Sorry. The pancakes are better to take out than to eat in.

Very poor customer service. The cashier looks very sleepy at 3pm. I told him to dine in, but foods was served cheaply in to go box after an extremely long preparation. Additionally, the pancakes are much smaller and more expensive than others. Takoyaki seemed microwaved because it’s not hot at all. The curry beef on the rice is very cheap: it was made of burger meats and curry sauce from the grocery. It's also microwaved. When we argue about the to go box issue, the waiter even complained that we changed our mind from shabu to brunch with a sneering laugh. The waiter is also clumsy: I saw him drop off knives and forks when he served the other table without saying sorry at all. I will never be back and will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Food was at, not best I’ve tasted but still pretty good, price for pancakes were significantly less than the one in SF

This is my third time coming to Gram, but it's our first time trying the shabu. They allowed us to order from both the shabu menu and the pancake menu, so of course we ordered the eponymous souffle pancake. Over the times I've been here, I'd rate this location as overall average. I'd say, maybe 3.5? The savory food is nothing to write home about, and maybe a little underwhelming depending on what you're looking for. I personally wouldn't recommend ordering it. For the sukiyaki shabu, I personally enjoyed it, but it's not for everyone. It's a strong sweet soy sauce flavor (think of concentrated mitarashi sauce) which I've been told can be an acquired taste. For the takoyaki likers, my resident takoyaki connoisseur friends reports that it tasted fine and was nicely crunchy, but used a different sauce that isn't the typical takoyaki sauce. Something sharper and more acidic, closer to an okonomiyaki sauce or something?? Honestly, the strongest item on the menu is clearly the souffle pancake. I highly recommend coming in the morning when the wait time is longer (30 min) so that the pancake comes out fresh and warm. It was oddly room temp on the one time we got pancakes in the afternoon. Seriously, the pancake tastes really good, and they're the only reason we go out of our way to come back. ---- TLDR: Savory food 2 star, pancakes 4 star. Expect slightly long wait times due to staffing shortages.

Ordered the wagyu pancake burger, Benedict, and strawberry souffle pancakes. We waited about thirty minutes for our food. I thought they forgot! Right when I was suggesting we leave the food arrived. My partner's food was good, but mine was very cold. I don't think I should be eating cold eggs Benny since the eggs are poached and the salmon is smoked. If I get food poisoning I'll know exactly where I got it from. Also the chef must me new since they didn't know you're supposed to layer the bacon and salmon together and had them on separate pancakes. I wouldn't come back here. Also if you're sneezing in the kitchen don't let your guests hear. It's gross. $55 for a not superb time. Oof.

Cute, trendy spot. I believe the actual space is 2 restaurants in 1. I had a flight to catch and gave myself enough time to enjoy a sit down meal before I had to head to the San Jose airport. Unfortunately, service was a bit slow so as time went by, I increasingly got anxious about making my flight. I ended up having to order at the counter instead of waiting for them to take our order at the table and I asked for my food to be in to-go containers. Once the food finally came out, we quickly scarfed it down at the table we had been sitting at before. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately again, I think because I asked for my food to be in to-go orders, they never came by again to ask if we wanted anything or any refills on our drinks. Maybe it was an off day for them. The food was good enough to outweigh the service cons. I would go back to try other stuff on the menu.

I visited the restaurant around 3pm on Saturday for late lunch. Gram cafe shares the space with shabu-shabu restaurant. There are only few tables on the far end of the restaurant that are designated for the Gram customers.I ordered kaki bento & ube cold pancake. The food came out around 15 mins after I ordered.- kaki (oyster) bento: pretty good. The oyster pieces were big & had crispy coating but it was pretty bland. The curry was too watery & very salty. The salad dressing was good (but it tasted store bought).- ube cold pancake: the pancake was airy & light but not too fluffy. The ube cream was good (not too sweet & creamy) but lacked of ube flavor.Overall, just ok food and didn't meet my expectation.

This place is situated in the same building as the Shabu place. Lots of tables inside the dining area, but there was only one table inside the dining area when I picked up my order. Many of the dining tables were used as storage or stacked with chairs... I ordered a side of chicken Karaage and a box of assorted pancakes. Chicken Karaage was not as crispy as I expected, maybe it was due to DoorDash order for takeout, but flavor was decent. However, I had a matcha flavor pancake as desert. It wasn't good at all, it was kind of bad! It didn't have any matcha flavor, it had a weird bitter aftertaste and it was sour!!! I wondered if it had just gone bad? I didn't try the rest.... As for as the text of the pancake goes, it was fluffy. I will give the bentos a try in the future...

The first time I enjoyed Gram Cafe and Pancakes was about a month ago when my friend door-dashed it for lunch at work. She showed me a picture of the CURRY UDON with a beautiful egg on top and I had to have it. She ordered it again for the both of us the same week and oh my goodness, it definitely did not disappoint. I'm not normally an Udon fan (I prefer thinner noodles) but this was delicious! The curry had a good amount of spice and I was very surprised that the Onsen egg help up so well during travel. I ended up craving the same dish again about a week later and decided to dine with my husband and another couple at the restaurant. Other dishes that we tried were the Unagi with rice and the fried oysters. Both were very tasty as well. They are connected to Shabu House so if you'd like to enjoy an alcoholic beverage, you are free to do so. The service was not that great as it took a while for someone to get our order. It was a little confusing as to whether or not we were supposed to order at the counter or someone was supposed to come take our order. In the end, someone took our order at the table and food came out hot and pretty quick. *Note: they do serve their breakfast menu all day so we'll have to come back to try some of their breakfast dishes!

This places takes forever plus a bit longer. All four times that I've came, their meals were delayed and took really long. This was true for both take out and also sit down Today when I got here the wagyu beef was terrible. It wasn't Wagyu at all. It was cheap a** quality meat that was frozen. It was cold, taste frozen, I could taste the freezer burn and the meat quality was bad. Never coming back here again. The soufflé pancakes took over an hour, they told me 30.

I was confused when we first walked in since I saw a couple tables with hot pot. Once I looked at the cashier, I noticed the desserts on their menu, so we were sure that we came to the right place. Basically, the restaurant is divided to half Gram and half Shabu. We ordered the chocolate & matcha creme brulee Japanese pancakes. The chocolate was way too sweet, it didn't allow me to enjoy the dessert. As for the matcha, it was just right and not overpowering. The pancakes itself is delicious -- airy, light, and not too fluffy. There's plenty of parking and it seems to never be a wait. If you've never had Japanese pancakes, you must try it! Grams pancakes aren't shabby, but they're not the best I've had.

Like most customers, I was a little lost and confused on arrival to this location but it's not hard to find. It's a shabu restaurant and Gram Cafe & Pancake together in one building (so just look for a shabu place) LOL. It was super empty and quiet when we walked in but you'll know you're in the right place because you see the pancake menu and pictures. You order at the counter and then you wait. We got ours to-go but I think you can dine-in too. We got two pancakes ($5 each) with matcha and oreo flavor and only waited like 10 mins. It lasted the 20 min drive home and we put it in the fridge to eat a few hours later and it was still delicious. Very soft and fluffly and wished I ordered more. They also have seasonal flavors like salted egg yolk and use! It's worth a try if you're passing through the Milpitas area!

I came in around 4 ish and the store was pretty much empty. I was a bit confused at first about the location but turned out it's connected to shabu shabu. I ordered the crème brûlée pancake, cold strawberry filling pancake, gyudon, and karage! Everything came out in about 15-20 min. The creme brûlée took awhile, it came out in about 30 min but it was definitely worth the wait. The strawberry pancake was okay, maybe average. I got sick of it after a couple of bites. The gyudon was also okay but it wasn't bad. The karage was below average. However, the spicy mayo was rlly good! Out of all the dishes I ordered, my favorite was the creme brûlée pancake! The pancake was rlly fluffy and wasn't too sweet. The creme brûlée was spot on. The pancake literally melted in my mouth! I will definitely come back for the pancakes :D
