I’ve been here twice and I’m definitely coming back. Staff is really nice and soup has a good flavor. Lot of toppings to choose from. I reccomend the beef broth medium spicy or the tomato. Thank you!

We dined in on Monday night and cost us about 70 bucks. I thought there'll be a variety of sauce options for the meat. There were only a few bottles of sauce, sugar, vinegar, some garlic and chili. And, we expected the meat to be cooked with some sauces but, it was just ordinary. It's not as worth the hype.

This is our second time here and it’s fantastic! The staff are very friendly. You grab all the veggies, meats, noodles, etc. that you want and there’s so much to choose from. The best part is that you like everything in your bowl :) The broth is very flavorful and just right in terms of spicy (I go for mild numbing). It is very affordable ($35 for two people with 1 lb of food each) compared to other hotpots.

Great spot for customizable noodles and Chinese numbing spice. The customer service was very friendly and the broth was very flavorful. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for some authentic Chinese spicy cuisine.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and have to say that I enjoyed the experience! Upon entering you're asked how many people are in your party and if you're a party larger than 2+ know that it might be a longer wait for them to wait for the current eaters to finish for them to combine the tables. You then pick up a bowl with tongs and start choosing all of the items you want in your noodle dish from the noodles, veggies, to the protein. Then you pay for your meal based off of the weight of the bowl and the broth that you want. There are additional confidemtns that youc an add into a cup afterwards--which is nice that they don't take that into account prior to the weighing --this is for all those green onion lovers out there! ~~Parking: Located in the Milpitas parking lot across from Cisco with the 99 Ranch and a bunch of other restaurants/stores. Parking can be found depending on the time you arrive ~~Service: Fair! There's not much service to be done here, which is nice --most of the things are self serve and you pay prior to seating. ~~Best Part: You're able to choose what items you want in your noodle dish, so you can only blame yourself if there are things in the bowl that you won't eat or be able to finish. ~~Worst Part: Can be a little tight in the restaurant, but there's still enough space for you to be able to enjoy your meal. ~~Tips: Come with a party of 4 or less. ~~Return: Yes!

I love Malatang!! There weren't as many options here as there are at different malatang restaurants in the area. However, the flavors and soups tasted great!! The experience was fine, but there was quite a long wait. Be sure to come early!

Amazing Malatang, super authentic and delicious. I would recommend for family and groups.

Delicious ? Must order over 0.8 pound but can easily take 5 pounds of food. Love the marinated beef the best, but not always available.

Been here a few times already and have always liked this place. The broth is flavorful albeit inconsistent. The dry mix is not as flavorful but remedied by their sauce bar. However, I got severe food poisoning my most recent visit and will never go back. If you go, be careful with the ingredients you choose - Especially if they're busy.

Yummy love their variety and their mild beef bone base soup. A keto introverts dream. Just don't overdo the ingredients!

Sooo tasty. YGF Malatang is a build-your-own malatang, similar to hot pot. They have a variety of meats, veggies, and carbs. You weigh and pay by the pound, based off of the soup base. Seating is a bit snug and tables fill up quick, so plan accordingly, especially if you want to dine with a large group. There's a self-serve sauce bar as well with garlic, scallions, sesame sauce, chili oil, and a few other things. My favorite's the delicious medium spicy beef broth, but they have a few other flavors as well. The tomato's a bit on the sweeter side, if you like that. The servers were very kind and attentive. On average, I've spent ~$20 on my bowl.

YGF Malatang is one of my go-to restaurants in the Bay Area for malatang. I came here recently came here with my family in hopes of introducing them to malatang, and they loved it as well, but beware, the restaurant and the plaza get busy during dinner hours, so make sure to add your name to the Yelp waitlist prior to arriving to avoid the wait, especially if you're coming with a large group. After you are seated, you can go up to the wall of ingredients and grab whatever ingredients appeals to your palette - your bowl is then weighed, and you pay for the weight of your bowl. YGF offers a pretty good variety of meats, vegetables, and seafood, and you can also choose what type of broth you want. I typically get the mild since the medium and spicier broths do have a bit of a kick, but the beef-based broth is super flavorful and yummy.

This is a pretty good malatang spot with lots of nice ingredients to choose from. They were quite crowded and the indoor space doesn't leave much room between tables. They also have outdoor seats, but because of how crowded it was, we changed our order from dine in to take out after selecting ingredients. The takeout order was well packaged for eating at home. It even kept well for the next day.

This place is awesome and tastes great! Had a mixture of udon and ramen with the beef broth. Was a bit spicy, but was still honestly great. This place goes by weight so cut out the fillers and go for the good stuff, haha. Went around 7pm and it was crowded so be ready to wait for a table. If you have too much left (like I did) just ask for to go cups and bring it home!Parking: Busy parking lot in the evening to night.Wheelchair accessibility: Small place. May be a difficult, but they will help.
