The quality of the nigiri was top-notch, and the presentation was spot on. I especially loved the seared fish topped with those thin, crispy red onion slivers. We also ordered the calamari and it was perfectly golden and crunchy.

“Food and service were both great! We went on a Thursday morning and had a really good experience. Honestly, I’m not sure why there are so many picky reviews—it seems like some people may not have much patience for a small business.

The portion sizes were generous, the seasoning was on point, and everything we ordered was delicious. We tried the steak and eggs as well as the croissant sandwiches, and both were great. The coffee options were also really good—not overly sweet or sugary, which I appreciated.

Overall, definitely worth the visit! I’d recommend giving this place a try and supporting a small business.”

Second time I ordered bulgogi bento box.
Bulgogi was very bland, wasabi and ginger had no flavor. They should not allowed customers playing loud music on their phones or children playing with their tablets full volume. It is very annoying.
The waitresses are not worthy of a tip.”

I tried several flavors, coffee, passion fruit, dragon fruit, nuez, mama, and last but not least pistachio. wow the flavors were amazing I am definitely going back and tried all the other flavors of nieve de garrafa.”

“I met up with a colleague here for a business meeting and the food was delicious. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and it was a unique, surprising and delicious take on a vegetarian burrito. It had beans, rice, potatoes and squash. My buddy ordered the chilaquiles and found them to be quite delicious.
I highly recommend this place. They do get a lunch rush; so I'd suggest planning your visit around that.”

“I have driven past this place for years skeptical of the seafood at a small stand, but boy was I proven wrong! So glad the location I was going to was closed because the nearest seafood was Mariscos el Zurdo. I saw they had 7 mares, so we said let's give it a try. Luckily we found parking in the small lot they share & found a table to eat because it sure got full & people waiting on a table.
I am kicking myself for having missed out on the delicious fish taco, shrimp hard shell taco, & agua chile tostada, all these years, but I will sure make up for it. The soup wasn't the best 7 mares i've had, but it was a big hearty bowl with crab legs that my soothed my mom's craving.
I am looking forward to head that way & stop to try other items along with that aguachile tostada 😋”

“Best doughnuts bar none. The doughnuts are soft, fluffy, and glazed to perfection. The croissant sandwiches are incredible.They have breakfast sandwiches as well as boba. I buy a dozen doughnuts for my office and they all can't get enough. The owners are always kind and friendly. Been coming here for years and I always recommend it. This morning was packed but with their fast friendly service the line went down quickly and with a smile. The owners always wish you luck if you buy a lotto ticket. Montebello's best little doughnut gem.”

Side: Garlic Green Beans (these are the absolute most DELICIOUS green beans I have ever eaten)

The service was amazing so welcoming so attentive. Their cafe de olla was perfect. I had their chilaquiles con huevo and bistec. It comes with beans and it had some lettuce I'm assuming side of salad but I mixed it all together and it was delicious! They do give you chips and salsa and let me tell you that salsa was deliciousssss!! The place isn't huge but it's perfect and cozy. They have plenty of other stuff on their menu | just decided to start with chilaquiles and they were delicious :)”

I have friends that have get-togethers at this restaurant because it’s so great in every plate is delicious. They have a big screen TV and the next room. It was great having a bowl of Menudo watching games. My favorite hair is the albondigas, huevos rancheros are good . A lot of Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood have closed down, but Baja has been going strong for many years. It’s well loved by our neighbors. I recommend this place 100%”

“I first visited this place five years ago, and it was amazing—one of my favorite taco spots in L.A. I’d been wanting to try it again, and recently, while visiting SoCal, I had the chance to stop by. While it’s still pretty good, it doesn’t quite feel like it used to. The tacos are smaller now, as is the trend with most places in L.A. I’m not sure what happened, but I’m guessing one of the main tortilla distributors started making them smaller, promoting it as a selling point so that trucks don’t have to use as much meat and ingredients. What surprised me here, though, is that the tortillas are handmade and yet they started making them smaller. I still enjoy them—they really are the closest thing to a Tijuana-style taco. The flavor is excellent, and the guacamole is fantastic! All in all, it is still worth it to make the drive because where else can you get handmade tortillas and thick, gloppy guac? Here!”

The prices are reasonable so my wife got the Mexican cheesecake and Estilo Casero for her mom. It is as a man and his son working the booth, they were really nice to use.”

I spoke with Nancy over the phone, and she was immediately understanding and supportive. I returned the cake that same day, but our event was early the next morning. The staff fixed the cake first thing in the morning and delivered it directly to our home, perfectly on time. Sometimes i do have to ask for a waiter for a refill or more steamed rice but i'm used to it. The staff are great people omce you get to know them. They all deserve good tips especially with the affordable cost of their large portions.”
