“We enjoyed this place but at times it does get very busy so there is a wait. I ordered pancakes and cheese omelette. The portions are sufficient to share or take home leftovers, especially if you’re not a big eater. Overall, I would return for pancakes.“
“Worth it! This place gets quite busy but the queues do move fast. As the name suggests most of their food revolves around eggs. The food is made right in front of you in an open kitchen. There is some seating available outdoors and Limited seating indoors. This is located right outside the historic Bradbury building too. We tried the bacon, egg and cheese and the fairfax sandwich, both were eggcellent. The place is open for breakfast.“
“I loved the conchas in the basket at the beginning of the meal and the lattes were delicious. Kitchen could be a little faster but it was a full house but some people who sat after us were being served first but it’s all good this was a great first time experience for my wife and I. Definitely would “
“Not sure why reviews always complain about the size of these burritos. Though they initially appear smaller than the average burrito, they’re very dense and I always feel full/satisfied after. Not trying to eat a burrito that’s going to put me into a food coma and make me want to lay on the couch all day. A little on the pricier side, but to me it’s worth it because the flavors are absolutely fantastic.“
“My family and I loved this place. It's been a long time since we have tasted authentic not bloating after feeling food. The servers were great, food came out on a timely matter. The place takes you back in time enjoying the company you have away from electronics. I highly recommend this breakfast place.“
“Old town Monrovia is cute and has great vibes. This cafe is just off the beaten path and is definitely a great spot to have breakfast. The granola pancakes are lovely with great flavors. I wish they had had more real maple syrup, but they were running out apparently. The bacon was cooked to perfection! All in all it was good food for a reasonable price, with great serving staff.Parking: Some street parking, but just down the street there is a lot with more parking.“
“First time here and it was great. The service was good and the food and drinks were delicious. I wasn't looking to drink but my sisters were looking forward to mimosas, however they weren't currently serving anything with liquor as they are in the process of renewing their liquor license. Besides that, I had the Chilaquiles Verde and a hot Dulce de Leche Latte and ate and drank every bit. I definitely want to return and try some of their other menu items. And the staff was pleasant, courteous and friendly. Definitely recommend.“
“Had a chance to speak with the owner. He's been making high quality, traditional Mexican food at this venue for almost three decades. Mark my words when I say that if there's an option that you've been looking for but can't find elsewhere, they will have it here. I'm talking seriously authentic Mexican food.“
“Was looking for a simple diner is DTLA that didn't upcharge for being trendy and I found the place. The food and service were so fantastic that I visited 2 days in a row during a recent trip. I will definitely be recommending to people I know that travel to the area.“
“I went with my friends to get breakfast. We had a good time and enjoyed the food. I love waffles and the one I had here was really good. I also loved the orange juice. It tasted freshly squished. My friend accidentally ordered something thinking it was one way but it turned out to be a different thing and they nicely replaced it. I will come back here. Also very nice customer service and everyone is so nice and attentive.“
“Went for Sunday Brunch. Tables are well maintained and the hospitality workers are friendly. Great environment and you get a nice chill vibe from the place. Loco Moco plate was savory and tasty. Hamburger patty was well seasoned and the rice was perfectly cooked. Gravy was very yummy and I wished I had more. 5/5 plate. Reminds me of Rainbow's Drive Thru in Honolulu Hawaii. Ube Pancakes were fluffy and the ube tasted lite. Coconut complimented the airy texture and flavor you get from the pancake and ube. I wished there was more ube and no coconut. I also wished there was more sugar in that dish. Maybe I just have a sweet tooth? I think if you are an ube fanatic, the. you'd rate it higher than a 3.5/5. Ube coffee. Tasted like 1/2 coffee and 1/2 ube. Delivered what was stated on the name. 3.5/5, maybe 4/5. Get the Loco Moco. I love Loco Mocos. I think you'll love them too. That's worth coming back for more!“
“The food was delicious but the wait time was long. Order wasn’t accurate to what I asked for. I didn’t mind because the ribeye was delicious, but I would’ve most likely enjoyed it medium instead of well. Atmosphere was great! Loved seeing the plants and the wallpaper gave it a modern look.“
“Great food and great service. Go early if you have a bigger party. We were lucky to sit outside on a nice day, and my husband highly recommends the French toast, and the BLT I got was so yummy. The bacon was so tasty, and the coffee was so good that I had 2 cups. Can't wait to come back here.“
“I miss the old atmosphere. I guess I need to use to this one. However, the potatoes don't come close to the potatoes they use to serve at the old location. We didn't go for a few weeks after we tried the new home potatoes at the new location. My kids love the old potatoes. So, effectively, we are going less often because they don't serve the old type of potatoes. I wish they would allow us to choose the type of potatoes we want them to serve. Just a thought.I just remembered. The restaurant is using pretty cold. We have to take sweaters just in case it is very cold.“
“Caramelo Café offers a delightful morning escape with excellent customer service. Visited on a Friday morning, the waitress was incredibly attentive, ensuring our experience was top-notch. The ambiance is charming, adding to the overall appeal. The highlight was undoubtedly the food. Opting for the chilaquiles burrito with steak, I was greeted with a burst of delicious flavors, especially with their tantalizing green salsa. However, while the steak had a robust flavor, it was a tad thick and tough to chew, leaving me contemplating a different protein choice for my next visit--perhaps bacon? Despite this minor setback, Caramelo Café left a positive impression. With its inviting atmosphere and flavorsome dishes, it's a spot I'd recommend to anyone seeking a delightful breakfast experience.“
“Stopped by before therapy to grab a quick bite. Originally I intended on getting an acai bowl but changed my mind last minute and ordered a smoothie because I didn't feel like gnashing my teeth this morning. Ordered an oat milk based pitaya smoothie with greens and spirulina. It was tasty and filling!“
“Had a tasty experience at No Toro Cafe this morning! Brought my family to enjoy some great food! We had the Banana Nutella pancakes, Chocolate Chip and Banana French toast, the Sniper Scramble, and more! We definitely will be coming back for breakfast! We were seated quickly, and the service was top tier! Very welcoming and gave us a family feel! I definitely recommend this place!Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly!“
“This is where we go for special occasions when we want solid Korean food, particularly savory soups. But that is not to say the other stuff on the menu is not worth trying. Some of the dishes deserve special recognition, because they are not typical (in my experience) or because they are exceptional. Not typical could include the Yeolmu Boribap, which is daikon radish greens mixed with barley rice and other ingredients. Very tasty and filling, even if I can't recall having it elsewhere. We really like it. Seasonal? Maybe. Exceptional could include the Doenjang soup/chigae, which we all agree is maybe the best we have tried in years. It is a treat. Many regard this dish, served elsewhere, as a pedestrian food, ordinary and a staple, but here it is elevated. The Chunggukjang is a more rustic version of the Doenjang soup/chigae, and it is very delicious. For the uninitiated, this is a stew made from something like (Japanese) natto, and it isn't great for a hot day, but rather, awesome for cold weather dining. Delicious, not for the delicate. In sum, this is a mom-and-pop style place, not some corporate chain, exactly the kind of place we like to support. People in the area who seek good homestyle Korean food will know this place and appreciate what they do here.“
“Been coming here for a while, but i don't know why, i've never tried the "flaming style" burritos, they are fire! I was in between on getting the "bomba style" or that one, but Boris helped me a bit lol he was really cool tho! Food and service are lit!“
“Came here for a family lunch and we will definitely be back! Hearty portions. The chapo specials have a few type of meats they kind of compete with each-other and I would skip the chicken in that specific combination. The breakfast burrito was a HIT. Next time I want to try it with hash brown/refried beans. Everything else was good , will be back for sure . Service was good, not a Michelin starJoint but the price is right and it's definitely a neighborhood joint. Worker was like " you've never been here before so they definitely have their clientele" murals on the walls average Mexican spot vibes.“
“Crossroads is a nice little cafe with a great variety of sandwiches. My friends and I ordered sandwiches to-go and they were so yummy! I had the spicy chicken sandwich and loved it. It was a good spice level for me but may be a little bit spicy for some. Everyone else really enjoyed their sandwiches as well. Overall, it was a great meal and I will definitely be coming back to try more things in the future.“
“"Absolutely stellar experience at Homies breakfast truck in Highland Park! Adam, the owner, is an absolute gem of a person—friendly, welcoming, and truly passionate about his craft. From the moment I stepped up to the truck, I could feel the warmth and dedication that Adam puts into every dish.Let's talk about the food—mouthwatering is an understatement! The breakfast burrito I had was hands down one of the best I've ever tasted in LA, and that's saying something! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients fresh, and the portion size generous. Each bite was a symphony of deliciousness. But what truly sets Homies apart is Adam's unwavering passion for his food. It's evident in every aspect, from the meticulous preparation to the genuine care he shows to each customer. And let me tell you, when you see the passion reflected in every bite, you know you're experiencing something special. If you're in Highland Park and craving a breakfast that will make your taste buds sing, do yourself a favor and head to Homies breakfast truck. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Five stars all the way“
“First time there, never noticed the place in the shopping center. Glad i found them on maps! Went in with my special veggie fries order & he had me, did it just right. Got my dad a wet burrito. Fair average pricing. Will definitely be a go to spot in the area.Vegetarian options: Tell them how you want it.Dietary restrictions: Tell them how you want it.Wheelchair accessibility: Large dining space“
“This is a virtual restaurant, so if you want to go in-person, it's the same place as Dog HausWit that said, the burrito is excellent, and so is Dog Haus! I got a hangover burrito, which was super flavorful. The tots were crispy and the the whole thing was great value.“
“I came there for lunch one day while on recess from Jury Duty. It's one of the closer place's that are in the area. They do have a pretty big menu like a restaurant and food that's already there made like all cafeteria's, so you don't have to wait for your order to be made.“
“The wait wasn't too bad on a Saturday morning around 11AM (after a late morning hike). The server was nice, although notably a bit flustered as it was busy inside. I had an iced Rose Latte, which was delicious and not overwhelming. Both the Croque Madame and Croque Monsier dishes were flavorful and large portions. I'll be returning to try more items off the menu.“
“We were served quickly and friendly, the food was good.Parking: A little small, the place is very busy especially on weekends and there is not enough parkingKid-friendliness: Yes, it is very suitable for children. They have special dishes for children.Wheelchair accessibility: If you don't have a problem“
“Our breakfast at IHOP was great! The pancakes were fluffy, light, and extremely tasty. Our eggs were cooked to perfection as was our bacon and sausage. Our waitress, Nicole, provided exceptional service, refilling our drinks and asking how we were. Definitely will return.“
“Been here quite a few times, nothing special. I don't really like their pancakes, they seem very dry and fall apart easily so I always substitute for crepes or strawberry blintz. Ordered Sirloin Tips and a side of smoked sausage, it was pretty good, the meat was nice and tender and flavorful. My husband ordered the steak omelette that was also pretty good and big enough to share. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. Overall our experience was great.“
“Got the #7 grilled beef. Pretty good. Had a Vietnamese coffee, I was happy that it didn’t leave me cracked out.The environment is a bunch old timer Vietnamese gentleman here drinking their coffee and chatting with their homies.Everyone is nice.My favorite is the French baguette. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.“
“Had the Biscuits and gravy plate today and it was so good. Also the serving sizes are huge! Very much worth the price. My gf got Chilaquiles and the plate was a lot bigger than we expected. 2 people can probably share it and its so good. Good experience with the waitress as well.“
“Attention L.A. Court Jurors! If you're looking for a good spot to eat close to the DTLA court houses, check out the Galero Grill in the Cathedral complex. A five minute walk from the court houses with good food at reasonable prices. Plus, there's a lovely patio with tables to enjoy your meal in peace (other than the Cathedral chimes on the hour). It's run by the Patina group so, although the food isn't fancy, the quality is very good.“
“Even though it was full, the wait time to be seated was less than 10 mins. The staff is courteous and welcoming. The food is great and they offer free coffee refills. Plus, they’re open 24/7.Parking: Large parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcomed and there’s a designated kids menu.“
“This is one of the closer places I could find 肉夹馍 rou jia mo (Chinese hamburger), so I stopped by and have a try. We just came back from a trip to Xi ‘A which is the birthplace of this food. The taste was ok. They added some chopped green pepper which I don’t think the authentic version has it. The bun is also a bit more burnt compared to the authentic version. Overall not too bad but just don’t expect it’s the original version!“
“Ordered the Colorado Omelette through Uber Eats. (Very quick delivery!!) The meat inside had good flavor but the egg whites were not seasoned. VERY watery though, and it was NOT condensation, 2 tablespoons of liquid. Had this come to me like that dining in, I would've sent it back. Buttermilk pancakes were yummy. They only sent 3 out of the four in the Syrup Caddy.“
“The service was good, we went in at a perfect time on a weekday. I wish they carried Dr.Pepper and I miss being able to have the variety of syrup choices. They need to bring the choice's back? The only thing that took a while was when it came time to pay. We had to wait for our waitress to serve other table's before we were able to pay due to their policy of pay at table now.“
“Great place for breakfast takeout. Small place. Since covid they closed the inside.. But it's so nice and quaint inside, I Wish they open the restaurant more. Nice small diner look.Parking: Not much parking on their lot but you can use next doors spaces they say, which is plenty.“
“It's been a while since I visited Mary Alicia's... a couple of times during Covid and many times before. Came back today and had the best breakfast!! I ordered green cheese enchiladas (yes for breakfast.. hahah) with potatoes and beans. Best beans anywhere!! I ate all the enchiladas... they were amazing!! The cafe de olla was fantastic. Hubby ordered taquitos... he enjoyed every bite and of course he got an avena.. a must here!! We are so happy we came back after all this time!! Thoroughly enjoyed our date!! We will certainly be back soon!!“
“I love their breakfast burritos. The only issue that I have here SOMETIMES is that I always order my breakfast burritos with beans and potatoes and about half the time it’s only with potatoes. I hate when it happens because I love their beans lol.Still, I love the food and the ladies that work there are always super chill. Gracias!“
“Place is great. Staff is friendly. I believe it's Korean owned due to some items you won't see at other Tom's. Cheeseburger combo was so good. Fries well seasoned and fresh off the fryer.Tried their bulgogi kimbap. It was good.Parking is decent. They do phone orders.Definitely will come back again“
