The waitress in this store is narrow-minded. When a customer asks her where she is from, she gets angry. Her service attitude looks down on Chinese people. She treats black people as service-oriented. She is the kind of person who worships foreigners and favors foreigners, including the chef inside, who is very irritable. Depending on my mood, I will take the tax bureau over to have a look some other time. Pay attention to this grumpy cash-only Chinese restaurant.

Total hidden gem that I discovered (omg) 20 years ago. I have to say it's the closest you can get to authentic taiwanese food in Los Angeles. You will be sitting among loyal customers that visit at least a few times a week. The lady here is like an old friend and there is just her and the chef. There is usually never a wait and they open late. Check the hours before you go. One of our favorites in LA. Dishes we recommend include Taiwanese fried chicken, stinky tofu, and shrimp fried rice. All the stir fries are good. CASH Only.
Our options into the evening were dwindling and we ended up trying this place out.The lady working was such a sweetheart. Super friendly & warm demeanour.Really enjoyed our noodle soup and vermicelli dish. Hit the spot, reminded me of stuff my mom used to make. Simple, flavorful & comforting.I'd recommend.

This place is a mom and pop shop, and the lady who serves the tables is very nice. When I was there she asked me what I want to order, and would recommend that she think I should get. She also will make sure that I didn't get too cold by closing the door as the afternoon/evening time got a little cold with the breeze with the door open. The food is like your typical taiwanese food - however the price per item was a bit steep for Taiwanese food. I am not sure if I should be surprised since there is inflation everywhere. The parking lot is shared with other businesses there and may be hard to find parking, but there is also street parking as well that is free.It is a good spot to grab some dine in taiwanese food and also comes with free hot tea or water.Would come back again since its locally in MPK and support small businesses, but probably not often considering its a bit pricy for its portion.

I hadn't visited this place forever. Drove by one day and decided to get some dinner to go. Felt like the food was not as great as before. Some dishes were pretty bland. But the price was still reasonable. Owners were very friendly and nice.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley Area. The owner of the shop is really welcomed and warm-hearted to make sure we would order the correct food as well as would truly enjoy them. Not expensive but delicious of family kind Taiwanese restaurant. Ones might date back to the time of their own family made Chinese cuisine. Minced Meat rice and the fried pop chicken are their famous dishes. Must have a try. Remember that the store is cash only, might be busy on Friday/Saturday night as not too many tables there.Restricted open time plz do check the status before paying a visit.

Can't believe that I never tried this small restaurant in the past 10 years I have been working in Monterey Park! They just open from 6 pm to 11 pm from Wednesday to Saturday, that's why many people miss their opening hours. A friend of mine brought me here last week, then I went 2 more times in a week and brought my friends too. It's a new discovery for us! The first time I went because I was craving for stinky tofu. Their deep fried fermented tofu was stinky but not so serious. I believe everyone can stand for it. :) Xiaolong Boa was juicy! They were steamed after you ordered. Be cautious it's really hot! I personally don't eat intestines but my friends said it's clean and yummy. The pork liver fried rice was a surprise! Chinese says "wok qi" (the food has special favors if it's stir fried by high heat) and this fried rice has it! Ladies eat less rice or carb nowadays, but all of us kept refilling it. Compared to this fried rice, the noodle soup and 3 favor stewed chicken were just so so. It's a really small restaurant and capacity is only 25 people. They also have many to-go orders, so be prepared to wait a little bit. But the serving is good. They are very friendly people. There's laundry next door and parkings are limited. Carpool if you can. And CASH ONLY!

I came here last night for the first time in a party of 4 for a late dinner. The service was very friendly and the flavors were legit Taiwanese. My favorite was the Chiayi chicken rice and the satay beef. I thought this Chiayi chicken rice was better than any other local Taiwanese place. The 3 cups chicken was also good. Be aware that this place is cash only. If this place were closer to home, I would come more often. I would come back and try more dishes since the flavors really tasted like being back in Taiwan. Parking is easy, prices are reasonable, place is clean, service is friendly, and food is yum!

Fish porridge I ordered was pretty decent. But the attitude of the lady in charge was not friendly. She repeated asking me to bring CASH (only) on my phone order. She got no smile when I showed up for p/u, as well she stopped me right away when I was trying to take a to-go menu: "Don't take it, the price will be diff by next wk! w/ her eye brows up!Wd you expect for my returning when prices going up for Cash Only w/such of bad ass attitude?!
