Even if the food is decent, this stingy-ness upsets me. Will a more filled cup really take away the profits of the business?

This is THE place to get popcorn chicken in the 626! I've been coming to P P Pop for awhile now and I have yet to have anything I didn't like. The popcorn chicken serving here is huge, and the chicken is really moist and flavorful. I get mild spice and it's pretty spicy imo! The beef noodle soup is also a favorite of mine. I love the chewiness of the noodles and the beef chunks always fall apart. The drinks are served in huuuge cups so that's also very worth the price. Service is always great and they're very comfortable speaking English.

Its been a minute since I've been here and I recently came back so I want to update my review. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Food was delicious, fresh and fairly priced. Service was nice and quick too. Will become one of my go to's when I crave Taiwanese food.

This place is my favorite restaurant, hands down. My go-to food spot no matter what. I think about it all the time... I'm literally on the waitlist for another restaurant, thinking about PP Pop. Service: The waitstaff are friendly and always very helpful. It's pretty simple... you fill out a little slip with what you want and they bring it to your table. Food: The pork xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are always delicious and full of broth. Which is great, since that's not always the case with places and their soup dumplings! The house special beef noodle soup has a very flavorful broth and DELICIOUS noodles. These are my favorite noodles from any place I've been to, without a doubt. Chewy, yet soft... you can tell they're freshly made. Good portions of meat (not fatty) and there are some pieces of bok choy so you can get your veggies in. More than enough for 1 person... and good for 2 if you're sharing your other orders as well! The popcorn chicken is good. Just your stereotypical popcorn chicken really... but beware that it's SPICY and the seasoning isn't distributed evenly... so some may be hotter than others. Ambiance: The place is small, and parking is tricky... but it's clean and the bathroom is nice (random but true LOL). If you're worried about wait time you can always call ahead and ask! Definitely love this place and would recommend it to anyone !

Harbin people don’t have to think about it, just rush it. They love the little belly the most. When it comes out of the pot, it’s really amazing!

So simple so good. They have perfected their system of quick service even though they are so popular. You receive the menu and a number and as you wait you decide what you want and write it down on the paper menu they give you. Then when you get seated the food comes out fast. It's perfect because even though they have about 12 tables it moves very efficiently. Everything we ordered was solid and their facility is clean and the service was perfect, they refilled our waters as needed and didn't make us feel rushed even though they were busy, very attentive! Parking was easy there is a lot out front. We want to come back with some more friends so we can order the beef roll and the pan fried dumplings!

This is a small hole in the wall that packs a lot of great flavors and great food. My wife and I have gone a few times and haven't taken our families to try it, everyone loves it. The service is great and will definitely be going for years to come.

It's a small place that gets crowded fast during dinnertime, but the food is solid and they serve some big portions. We ordered way too much food because even the popcorn chicken was a big helping. That's not a complaint because it's so good it's a compliment. All the food we ordered was good so you can't go wrong here, but be aware that their "some spice" is probably what "pretty dang spicy" is for most people.

Highlights at P.P.Pop are the beef dishes such as the beef rolls and beef noodle soup. The giant drinks are also a great deal at only $5! Some say this place is a Din Tai Fung alternative, so the hubby and I came by to assess for ourselves. Sadly, when it comes to great soup dumplings, the ones here are mediocre at best. The skin was tough and hard in some areas. There was also barely any soup in them and some of the soup dumplings came with broken skin with all the soup leaked out. Since I don't see anyone making the xiao long baos in house, I'm going to assume these are likely frozen and premade. They are definitely not comparable to Din Tai Fung. Now onto the dishes I did enjoy, the spicy chili oil wontons were indeed very spicy! It was drenched in a spicy mala sauce that left my mouth burning. I definitely needed that giant jug of tea! The beef rolls were nice and crispy and beef noodle soup were also great since they came with large portions of beef. I enjoyed these dishes the most out of everything we ordered. Overall, if you want classic Taiwanese dishes this place does has alot to offer. But skip on the dumplings and xiao long baos. There's way better places in the SGV.

P P Pop is a great quick lunch spot! there's plenty of parking in the lot right outside, and I hope no problems getting seated on a Thursday afternoon. i wasn't too hungry, so my friend and i shared popcorn chicken and pan fried baos as a snack. the popcorn chicken was so crispy and hot, it was good! and the baos were the best pan fried baos i've had. they were nice and crunchy on the bottom and juicy and flavorful on the inside. the service was quick and attentive, which i appreciated, and the inside of the place is small but cozy. overall, perfect for a quick bite of lunch! i'll be returning to try the noodles!

This restaurant is the same as Mr Dragon noodle house. - Popcorn Chicken 5/5 The popcorn chicken is super yummy!! It's also huge.. definitely shareable (see pic). The medium spicy wasn't too spicy ... wish they had a spicy option. - Beef Roll 3.8/5 It's solid. Mix with soy sauce and vinegar and chili oil. Not enough cilantro inside.. it isn't as stuffed. - Shrimp Fried Rice 4.6/5 Mix this with the chili sauce/crisps... it's amazing!! Huge shrimp pieces, and the taste is good. Free small lot in front of the restaurant.

Friendly service, short wait, easy parking. A bit small but comfortable. Really liked the popcorn chicken and the beef roll, super big portion for the price. I personally didn't love my soup because I'm not a fan of rice noodle but I can say it was objectively good. I liked my friends beef noodle soup more.

Great food spot. I love their beef roll and house special beef noodle soup. Every dish is pretty tasty. There is always a line of people but the food comes out quick once you order.

Just a warning everything is SO spicy. We made the mistake of ordering spicy everything and everyone was sweating by the end, but that was just an amateur mistake on our part. Spicy braised noodle soup: (3.5/5), spice level was a numbing spice that made it hard to enjoy, but again, could be our fault for not ordering the non spicy one in the first place. The beef was very tender though it fell apart when you picked it up. Beef roll cake: (3/5), missing the sauce and the filling ratio was off so the dish just felt very dry in my opinion because the wrapping is a lot thicker than the classic scallion pancake. Dumplings: (4.5/5): so flavorful and delicious the wrapping didn't fall apart or anything. Chili oil wontons (4.5/5) also soo flavorful and well balanced. Popcorn chicken (4/5): a classic. Lemon green tea (5/5): the cup is HUGE, and so worth the price point.
