Ate their chili oil placed on the table and waken up at about 2am by abdominal pain. I just sat on the toilet, but couldn't have a bowel movement, and my abdomen was hurting a lot. Feeled like I was going to die. I thought I might need to vomit instead since I couldn't go from the other end.

I bought it after seeing other people saying that the steamed buns burst with juice when you bite into them, but there is nothing that bursts with juice when you bite into them. Personally, I feel that the taste of the steamed buns is very average. It is far worse than the Tianjin steamed buns from Jirong Roast Duck Restaurant, which are still sold. More expensive than them. I just bought it this time and tried it. It is worth mentioning that the boss lady boss has a very good attitude. So the service is perfect

Worth the try: any of the dumplings! Tip: the owners / staff don't really speak English but don't let that stop you from trying this place out Bonus tip: Yes they take card now! Boiled Pork Leek Shrimp Dumplings: huge dumplings, comes with 12 and enough to feed 2 people. Super juicy and flavorful! Served with a potent (yet delicious) garlic sauce that leaves you tasting garlic for the rest of the day (but not in a bad way). Pig Lips & Cucumber: cold appetizer, comes with tonssss of meat. Love how refreshing yet flavorful the cucumber is with all the garlic sauce. PARKING: street and lot parking available nearby ATMOSPHERE: small shop, primarily good for to-go orders I was craving some dumplings and was so happy to try this hole-in-the-wall place out. Their dumplings are HUGE. HUUUGE. I really enjoyed the boiled/steamed dumplings even though I usually get fried at other places. Stop by this place and support your local mom and pop shops!
Authentic tasting food and considerate thoughtful staff.

This is a family owned small restaurant. Don’t be fooled by their business name: “bread food”. They don’t bake any bread. They serve house made noodles, dumplings, and a variety of meat filled streamed buns. They also sell frozen dumplings and plain buns (mantau). They close at 8pm, be there before 7:15 pm or the chef will come out and show his attitude. The young waitress is polite. The house made noodles are fresh and dente. Very food. The dumplings come with dip sauce made out with fresh ground garlic, very spicy. Will return and try other items.

Qingdao Bread Food is my family's go-to in the San Gabriel Valley. My family is originally from Qingdao and this delicious hole in the wall restaurant gives us a taste for back home. We usually order the pork and chives lu bao and shrimp dumplings and most recently the pork lip with cucumbers. Very nostalgic home cooking and plus good service at lunch! We also make sure to take extras with us when we go back home. Frozen dumplings are also a huge plus!

Consistent and easy. More expensive than say ling ling from Costco but higher quality. My favorite is the four season peas filling.
