“You will not find a better Mediterranean restaurant in all of Ventura County!! Highly recommend!!Last August, my mother and I went to this incredibly friendly restaurant. They have so many options, and I was excited they have falafels. I ordered beef kofta and falafels, and tried both the saffron and spiced rice. Omgsh! One of the best meals of my life. The falafels were cooked to perfection, not too soft and not overly crispy. The beef kofta was tender and spiced well. The saffron rice was very good, however, the spiced rice is ? it is the most flavorful rice—you will ever have. I still remember both the sweet and savory notes. Which I loved.Not only is the food excellent, but the quality of the friendly environment is immediately felt. We were lucky enough to be served by the owner, Shamel. He made you feel like old friends. My mother and I so enjoyed talking with him and hearing about his passion for food and family.(Shamel, I am so very sorry for such an extraordinarily late review. It was the best thing I’ve ever eaten. The servers were also very kind and the service was very good! “My wife and kids love this place. They took me today and I was absolutely blown away. Everything was superb. The garlic Naan was 100/100. The Chicken Tikka appetizer was incredible. “The food here was such a pleasant surprise! Everything smelled and tasted so clean and fresh. We had the Falafel plate and the chicken shewarma plate and love it down to the lemon in the salad dressing! The hummus was tasty and the pitas were warm. Highly recommended.“
“Although I've known Diar market for a long time. I shop here very seldomly because this market has very limited ethnic items, it mostly serves the Persian community. Imho, if they had various international goods they would be more successful. Also recently, the first time, I bought some chicken and beef, both had a terrible stench when I got home. I didn't even bother taking it back because of the lack of customer service reviews on Yelp, at least $15 worth of meat went to trash. What a disappointment! It's a shame. I understand it's a small business serving our community however customer service makes it or breaks it!“

“What a culinary experience! Chef shared various samples with us (garbanzo, garlic spread and chocolate spread). We ended up ordering the spicy garbanzo bowl, chickpea wrap and a large garlic spread. The food was amazing and I can't wait to come back to try the other items!“
