Place has gone down hill. Food was not great. My burger was so saucy I couldn’t eat it without a knife and fork, and then I couldn’t cut into it because the bacon was rock hard. Lots of annoying corporate groups frolic here that encroach on your space (especially in the patio), so be forewarned.

My go to place when I just want good food and amazing selection of beer (their other liquor is good too!). It’s a super chill vibe and great for company outings or bringing the family. With so many choices of beer in the world I really appreciate Steins catered collection. It’s just hard to find a good place to dine without being totally pretentious or feeling out of place. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Timeless classic in downtown Mountain View.I love going to Stein's, their beer selection is top notch, the food is amazing and the service is stellar. We've been coming here for years and it's a downtown staple that always delivers, especially with the big screen for sporting events.Their chicken tenders are tasty and the sauces are all house-made, you can smell the truffle wafting off of the fries every time. So good!!

Great food, excellent service, especially by the manager even though we went in close to last call. Dog friendly.

Great place for groups or just to hang out with a couple of friends. Recommend the patio when the weather is good.Service has always been on point and friendly. They have also offered good recommendations.Menu could use more vegan and vegetarian options. The couple they do have are good. Entrees are good but their apps are better. Particularly the pretzels, truffle fries, sliders and the sausage plate (which is practically a meal with 3 sausages, toasted bread, sauerkraut, and I think mashed potatoes).Desserts: the donuts take a while and most of our group really liked them. I just found them a little too sweet for my taste and preferred the crème brûlée. The chocolate cake was good but we wanted lava or something inside. Instead there was more chocolate outside on the plate. ?Parking: There are parking lots and street parking available fairly close to the restaurant. However, recommend do going early as it is downtown. I feel like I’ve been fairly lucky every time I’ve gone as I’m able to park in the lot behind the restaurant or find same block street parking fairly quickly, which I know is unusual.

We happened across Stein's, as a late lunch or early dinner. The fruity beer flight was good--I want to try the dark flight next time---and it is a well-spaced restaurant with nice high ceiling, we had the slider flight--also really good and our favorite was the beef slider with peanut butter and bacon. The wings were great--skin very crispy--with house made sauces on the side (our favorite was the sweet and sour). Our server was awesome.

I am writing under a fake name because i wish to remain anonymous if i ever write " bad" reviews. I want to give 5 stars for service to Marco this afternoon who took my phone order at lunchtime for evening pickup. He was very empathetic when i mentioned adding on chicken and broccoli to my mac and cheese and was concerned about the price. Food and everything has gotten so expensive! He suggested the kids Mac and cheese with the broccoli and chicken and the whole thing came out to less than $18 and i can get 2 meals out of it . The food was great also, but I was especially impressed by Marco's service! My only complaint is the location. Its very crowded at the dinner hour in this downtown area. Difficult to find parking, driving feels also a bit unsafe. Not their fault though. I would say I would DoorDash, but then I am also trying not to spend a lot, as mentioned earlier.

The food was terrible. Me and my friend didnt finish our food. Pretzels were tough and came with jam mustard and some sort of hard butter. I would have just preferred nacho cheese, cream cheese or beer cheese dip instead. The drinks were good. Service was fine.
