Not what I expected, to start with presentation was terrible. Ordered chorizo and eggs, with hash browns. Hash browns weren't even warm. I like chorizo, in this case the quality was at best poor, and the other ingredients, peppers, onions etc , that was told by server were not included. The avocado included was badly brused, and not editable. Not that it makes a difference, I did see other plates that really looked good. To summarize, at any price, I,rate this as poor..

If you want a small town restaurant where you see familiar community faces then this is your place. My family has been a regular for several years. I don't know of many restaurants nowadays where servers get to know who you are outside of just being a customer. It's great when a server remembers your name and pretty much has your order memorized. No business is perfect but being thankful for the small things in life and appreciating effort is what's most important. My family and I will forever be appreciative of the great service; the warm welcomes; and the small hometown feel this restaurant provides.

Where do I start. It's been awhile since we have eaten at Emmy Lou's. Portions were fine. Food was typical breakfast quality. Bacon, eggs and potatoes. 4 other customers when we entered. By time we got our food about 20 min later there were only 2 people left. Service was poor took another 15 min sitting staring at the staff to get our check. This used to be a 5 star restaurant. Definitely has gone downhill. The restaurant at the other end of the shopping center was packed. I hope they improve.

First of all, I should have listened to the reviews. I had to say out loud a few times I never received my drink. The food was awful. Home potatoes were bland and had no flavor. The bacon was bad. I ordered French toast and it was the worst I've ever had. I'm not sure what flavor it was but it was something I've never had before and I immediately spit out the first bite. I did not touch anymore of my food, and the other guests barely touched theirs. The server came by and didn't ask why I pushed my food aside, just smiled and said she was glad we were happy. Confusing. She finally took our almost full plates asking if we needed anything ended. We didn't want to say anything because we've all been in the service industry but usually when your table leaves almost all their food on their plates and says their done you ask if everything's alright. $70 for 3 people and terrible food is not worth it.

I am a born and raised napa resident and decided to take my son here because I remember this being a really good restaurant. My son ordered a hamburger and I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with a side of biscuits and gravy. My son took one bite of his burger and said it was the worst burger he ever had, and my son loves burgers. I only ate my eggs and toast, my hashbrowns were mashed potatoes and I asked for crispy hashbrowns. Now when I was brought the bill I was told we are being charged for half of the burger so I asked to speak with the manager. He pointed to my son and told me it was HIS fault he did not like the burger and we ARE to pay for half of the burger, mind you he did not get his fries either. Now I asked for his name and he said he didn't have to give me his name. Working in customer service my whole working life I have never EVER expected someone to tell a customer that it was their fault they didn't like the food and when I said we would NEVER come back he said that was great. I have NEVER been treated like this ANYWHERE and I am appalled that a grown adult would tell a kid it was their fault that this food was horrible. Mind you my son is 13, he is not 2 so he knows what he likes and this burger AND service was not it. I really hope to here from the owner about this incident because this was not the way a manager should deal with unsatisfied customers. I had to put a one star because you can't leave it blank but it deserves no stars.

Easy going low key locals diner in the south Napa. We arrived at 1130am on 4th of July. Immediately seated, served, and sated 35 minutes. Everywhere else was booked or closed. Secret gem. Shop local. Stay local.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kids dishes in a homestyle dining room setting.Parking: We parked right in front. No problems.

In a strip mall. Great service and food is top quality!
Ordered french dip. $18 & had barely 1/4” of meat. Meat seemed pressed, not so fresh. Au jus was super salty. Probably the worst french dip I’ve ever had. Others in town for less arenpiled hight with fresh roast beef.

We were passing through Napa and needed to eat breakfast. Whipped out Maps and found Emmy Lou's Diner. Had to go because we have a grandchild named Emmy Lou. We were not disappointed. They were fairly busy for a Saturday morning, but we were greeted and seated within minutes.They took our drink order right away and got us our menus quickly. My wife ordered the Frittata, and I ordered the Corned Beef Hash. I was a bit surprised by how quickly our food arrived. I loved that they had a variety of condiments already on the table. I loved the Gunslinger Jalepeno sauce. Both entrées were delicious. I really liked the Frittata. The coffee kept coming without having to flag down the waitstaff. Everyone there was so attentive and friendly.I used the facilities while we were there, and the restroom was spotless and well stocked. All in all it was a very nice experience.
