This newer winery was one of my favorites on our trip to Sonoma and the only one I was moved enough by the actual wine to purchase for shipment back home. The wines are actually made by the couple who owns the winery, which was very refreshing, and allows them to create wines that really suit their palates rather than chasing the hot marketing trend of the moment. This was such a pleasant experience. Really beautiful. Wines are light and fresh. Setting is lovely. Ching Wu, our host, was incredibly kind. We talked about wine and history and culture. Never rushed. We did the library tasting, which we found a good addition. All around five stars. Delightful. Thank you to this winery for a memorable experience!

Matthiasson was our first winery visit on our Napa trip. The staff was warm, inviting, knowledgeable, and approachable. We were there on the busiest day of the year they told us based on all the grapes they were receiving and getting ready to process. The wines we tasted were wonderfully balanced and unique. We loved the sustainable, organic, and natural processes used by Matthiasson to make their wines truly stand out in the best way possible.
