They have really good food and the owners are really nice. My favorite dishes are the cream cheese wontons, egg flower soup, the salt and pepper chicken, or salt and pepper shrimp.

The wife and I just had lunch here. We had two lunch specials. Salt & Pepper wings and Kung Pao Chicken. We were greeted and sat immediately. The owner/chefs all said hello and goodbye, and we even got a table touch from who I can only assume was the owner. Great to see that happening. Wings great, hot and crunchy, savory and salty. Kung pao chicken had great flavor, my wife was a little disappointed that it wasn't spicy, but nothing a little chili oil couldn't fix. Chili was awesome. Really spicy. The also bring you wontons and sweet and sour sauce as a small appetizer before your meal. The portions were amazing. You get rice, wonton, and an egg roll. I had to take two boxes homes. After two wings and a few bites of kung pao chicken and rice, i was done. The whole dining experience was awesome. We will be back.

A HIDDEN GEM! OWNED BY A MOM AND POP! I have been back a few times and the food was superb! We were able to meet the owner and she was super sweet. Here's my food recommendations: - SALTED PEPPER CHICKEN WINGS!!! (Get the wings! So tasty and crunchy! Better than the one down the street ;) promise!) - Honey walnut shrimp - House chow mein/ fried rice - Pork puff pastry - big and juicy! - Salted pepper tofu is also a must order! Overall a great value! The restaurant is clean and the staff is very courteous and prompt with service. Do yourself a favor and make this a regular visit! GO SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!!

I have had them cater food for my parties several times and they always have been amazing.I speak with Cindy and she is always so sweet and very helpful. The food was ready boxed up and ready to go just as promised. She keeps me updated and is very respectful on timing and making sure the food is HOT and ready.Customer service is great.Food was excellent and all wrapped up ( I had 7 trays) so it would not spill while driving .Everything we ordered was a huge hit at the party especially the salt and pepper wings!!Thanks Imperial Palace I will definitely be back!

CASH ONLY at the time of review. But that was really no issue since the prices of the meals were affordable and reasonable. My husband and I were welcomed by a lady at the front desk, and asked if I was staying or picking up. As soon as I said, "Staying", she continued her warm welcome and awesome customer service our whole time there. I had really been craving Egg Drop (Egg Flower) soup and Cantonese chicken. Luckily, they had a lunch entree of Cantonese chicken that was served with your choice of Egg Drop or Hot & Sour soup, egg roll, a cream cheese wonton, and your choice of fried rice or steamed rice. It was perfect for me! I like a variety of food to try on my first visit. The soup came out with wonton chips and sweet and sour sauce. The soup was HOT (heat wise), which was great because it was hot/warm the whole time I had it. Even when our food arrived and I took a break from the soup to try my lunch entree, the soup was still warm. The Cantonese chicken was delicious. The chicken and vegetables really compliment each other. And the sauce was warm and full of flavor; delish! My husband ordered the salt and pepper chicken wing lunch special with Hot & Sour soup and fried rice. His Hot & Sour soup was tasty but I don't think I have had it before so I cannot compare to any other Hot & Sour soup. I didn't get a chance to try his chicken but it sounded very crispy. He mentioned how he thought it was really good especially for the price and all the food it came with. On the drinks, he ordered a Sprite and I ordered a water. He was given a can of Sprite and I was given a bottle of water, which we didn't mind and was actually convenient for me since I always like to take my drinks to go. Overall, the food was great, the prices were reasonable, and definitely cheaper than most Chinese restaurants in the area. It's convenient and close to me so I know I will be stopping by to try other dishes.

Cindy is very nice, and she always has a big smile at this hole-in-the-wall restaurant, I had the Egg Fried Rice, with onions, peas, carrots, and scrambled eggs of course. Under $15. Cash Only, please! You also can get to choose from ten entrees plus you'll also receive an egg roll and your choice of soup; the Hot and Sour Soup was on fire hot so watch out. Under 10 dollars Where else, in all of San Diego County can you find value like this, and so darn sooo tasty too? Easy on the wallet accompanied by terrific parking.

I don't like slamming places, so I'm giving it 4 stars. I didn't actually eat here because when I came in, there was a sign for CASH ONLY. I have a company credit card, so I had to leave and go somewhere else. I'll have to find another Chinese restaurant that can accept a credit card.

Confirming this place is still amazing, even after the change of management. The lady upfront is always sweet and welcoming when I come in. The dining area also has a much needed update and looks a lot more modern and welcoming. Food is just as amazing as before. I recommend the Imperial pan fried noodle and salt and pepper chicken or shrimp.
