Went a couple of weeks back and had a wonderful experience. Rob was incredibly friendly, educated us on the varietals and his story starting the winery. Probably had about 10 different tastings, including some from the tank. If your are interested in learning about wines you don't normally see and understanding a small scale winery's functions, I would highly recommend. Came away with a handful of very interesting and reasonably priced bottles.
Check out this winery! We tasted 10-12 wines and the owner, Rob Chrisman charged no tasting fee. He is very knowledgeable about the wine industry, and has years of experience with major wine producers in the Sierra foothills, along with being associated with the UC Davis viticulture program. Very unique blends and varietals with emphasis on Italian styles but completely different than 95% of California wineries. I couldn't find one I didn't like.

Stumbled upon the winery with my girlfriend after seeing some road signs following a Yuba River hike.Such a charming property and proprietor. Want to impress your girlfriend (especially if she likes Italian wines)? Take her here for the tasting. Buy a case while you’re at it! I did.
